I know there are plenty people in Chennai who simply don't want to share information. Probably this goes with the attitude of people in this city generally. Everything's exclusive. Sorry for generalizing it, but that's the fact. I am from Mumbai and Delhi, both places do quite well on the forum. And I do appreciate and reciprocate the help I receive from my fellow members in these cities. But the moment I land in Chennai, its a different ball game altogether. Sorry bros. Firstly, if you've RTFF the forum you would've guessed how dry Chennai is. The no of mongers and the no of gems available in other metros are exponentially high. So people don't mind sharing contacts there. In fact, you can just walk into any MP in Delhi / GGn and can have FS with the total cost close to 2.5 k to 3. You can get only HJ in Chennai MPs with the total cost around 3 k. FS with an Indie here costs somewhere north of 5 k whereas you can get 'model like' girls for that amount in most of the other metros. So comparing Chennai to other metros is pure apple to Oranges. Secondly, there have been many instances where seniors have shared contacts with newbies and they've ruined those contacts completely. In such a dry place like Chennai, ruining such gems is a disaster. So there is nothing wrong in seniors deciding to stop sharing contacts with newbies. Thirdly, the most irritating part, I don't mind people scamming me as I've shared contacts of my known MPs with everyone who have confirmed me that they are going to visit. It enrages me when they just get contacts but don't visit the MP. After sharing the contact with fellow mongers, I would have spoken to the MP and informed them about the guys' visit only to find they haven't visited. From the next day those mongers don't even respond to pings. Now this puts a black mark on my name from the MP's owner. So the next time I visit them I don't get the same treatment / respect I would've got otherwise. That's the point when I realized how valuable contacts are and not to damage them. We all mongers are here to make the most of the mongering scene but due to such incidents it's better seniors don't share precious contacts with newbies for the collective good of the mongering scene. I'm just a MP guy so far and I've never asked for contacts from anyone here. All my escapades have been through LC (with 98% accuracy) so I can safely say finding and building contacts on own has a its own share of thrill and excitement. Happy mongering.
