Many men choose to live in Thailand, or make it their base of operations, because they value what it offers in terms of lifestyle. Some foreign "men of means" make Thailand their "own environment" not just because they can afford to, but because they want to. They also make their money here.

Some men who live in Thailand never go to Nana or Pattaya for P4P. Others just come here on holiday because they enjoy what Thailand offers, and can pay for the best it provides (e. g., hotels, nice beaches, good food, lovely companions, etc.).

Thailand is quickly changing. The standard of living is increasing and the quality of life is improving. Some of what I experience living here is on par, or exceeds, what I left in the west.

What you fail to understand that there are a number of western men who lack the necessary "means" to compete in the fast-changing global economy as the value of their local currency decreases, and the marketability of their skill set drops. These are the men who will stop coming to Thailand in the future. These are the men who quibble over a few hundred baht difference in the price they pay to get laid.

Nor the facts or history, Thailand started off as a destination where GI 's could come and have much deserved R and R with female companionship at affordable rates. Which was then carried on by working men worldwide who could come and do the same giving light relief to their heavy work schedules at I repeat affordable rates in general.

As I said before you are free to pay as much as you like as long as you are happy. However, it is not just about you when you are part of ISG but also your fellow comrades in arms, who if they are new to the scene should be given some guidance on what is a fair price for them and for the lady involved and how that compares to other parts of the world. Throwing money at a situation is never the final solution and cannot hide the fact that "Money alone does not maketh the man."

The reason there are so few Japanese mongers on ISG is that it is in English. They have their own boards in their own language and don't need ISG. I love traveling to Japan an am there a few times a year on business. Their population is at negative growth. Outside of Tokyo people have been in 'scared to spend' mode for a very long time. They continue their xenophobic ways such as no foreigners can be on company X premise for project Y because they are scared they may need to communicate in English. They are a country in trouble but unwilling to try to adjust. This doesn't negate the fact that the West is screwed, but some of the West has a greater willingness to reinvent itself.

As for your surprise that ISGers might opine on world economy, you may want to look around ISG. There is. Thai stock market forum here and many ISGers have a life which stretches beyond the end of our dicks.

You are correct, however, when you state that the ISG is a valuable guide for Thailand visitors with limited experience.

The Vietnam GI era you recall was long ago. America lost that war, and the foundation of the "farang" P4P scene remained in TH. As you wrote in a previous post, times are now quickly changing in TH. The western white male monger is in present danger of being eclipsed by a sea of diversity with newly acquired disposable income. But that does not mean the long established P4P industry is going anywhere soon.

As most people familiar with Thailand know, it is Thai men who command the lion's share of the quality working women in their country, as they have for centuries. Foreigners, (except for the free spending Japanese) , are mostly left with the women they will not touch.

Presently, I have a regular set of young women I can call at any time who will happily come over to my place at just about any time. I compensate my ladies with both money and gifts as I care for them as people, but unlike a man who selects his woman "by number," I am not guided by any prescribed "market rate." Price is rarely discussed, however, I do not overpay.

I have written many reports about my experiences here. Unfortunately, with no regret, I have little to report this holiday season, as I have a very nice woman from Mukdahan staying with me full time until after New Year's. After she returns home, my favorite "flower shop" lady from Nakhon Phanom will likely come to visit me in the early morning hours after her shift ends. And then, if I desire, there's the young lovely from Chaiyapoom, and the exotic beauty from Petchaburi. If at some point I choose to add another it is as easy as walking across the road and doing a few "interviews."

Please understand, to keep things in perspective, there is much more to enjoying life here in Thailand than paying a strange women 1500 baht for a quick fuck. Even a first time visitor can experience this if he so desires and makes minimal effort to learn the "ropes" a bit.

So, Mr. Bond, come and visit, find yourself a hot lady for a good price, and write a report of distinction that we all will enjoy.

Japanese are not willing to share valuable information with strangers, you cannot get very much from the Japanese equivalents of ISG in Japanese either. The most popular general bloggers' site is Mixi; many of which you cannot read unless you got the passwords from the bloggers. Japanese can be generous with friends in his group, but if you are not in, tough luck.

This mentality applies to Japanese P4P. Japanese men know they have a very wide range of women, from SE Asian looking ones to typically NE Asian ones, and from Afro-J girls to Eurasian ones, as well as offer the broadest range of services from image/cos play to eating excrements.
