I was being sarcastic, in case it was not obvious. I definitely don't think German men wash more or less than anyone. I personally put zero currency in any of these generalizations about any nation and ethnicity. I think we will find washers and non washers among all groups. Can you confirm you saw an AC unit or thermostat for such? Their site says AC some bookings site say not? No AC / no stay, I can't sleep without it. I know they say ' we don't need AC in Germany' but I disagree given those nights this past summer in the 80's and 90's even, was horrible but fortunately had AC. Even if a heat wave passed thru at normal temps with no AC the rooms all get stuffy and if you open the windows for air sometimes the street noise keeps me up.

Another thing to note - their wifi does not block ISG, unlike the Hotels Monopol and Excelsior on the same street that blocks all sites connected with sex.
