Very good post Cunni but 2000 pesos for one shot is too high especially for a notaputa you just met.
I think you can give this kind of amount when you really know the girl to support her (as a friend you want to help). This way it is not associated to sex and you are not ruining the market.
1000 would have been a very good deal for the two parts involved.
To each is own about the price but it's better not to give bad habits to the chicas to avoid pain in the ass negociating reasonable prices.

You are right. And you are right but my reasoning was that I was looking for a kind of GFE and I was hoping to invest in that and not a one-off one night stand sort of arrangement but things are not always what they seem in that part of the world as will you see in my upcoming reports.

part 1
the night before really stuck in my mind. i was thinking a lot about ana. i was longing for ana, nay, i was lusting for ana. all my thoughts in the morning were mostly centred on her. she had been so passionate in bed and yet, so mysteriously. why exactly did she skedaddle when she did? she seemed to be happy with me. one o'clock was on my mind. at 12, i thought, in an hour's time, we'll be getting it on. at 12 thirty, my anticipation only grew. at 10 to one, i simply walked down and had a beer at the new garden bar in anticipation of ana coming to the entrance. one o'clock came and went but the same couldn't be said for ana. i called and called but there was no answer. it eventually dawned on me that ana was, for some reason, not coming.
then there was a call on my cell phone. my heart soared at the thought that ana had finally called, only to take a steep nose-dive as soon as i realized that it was jackeline who started speaking in kreyòl at the speed of summer lightning. the connection was rather poor and i was quite simply not prepared for such an abrupt change in language. i kindly asked jackeline to continue in spanish (she knew no english by the way) as i really could not understand her kreyòl under such circumstances.
what followed was an exercise in mind-boggling wierdness. instead of explaining why she was at clássicos the night before although she allegedly eschewed such unseemly venues, she told me that she had no money on her and that if i wanted to see her, i would have to take a taxi out to her place which was somewhere between sosúa and puerto plata. she also mentioned that she would talk to the taxi driver to give him directions to get there.
i was struck dumb, mainly because i believed that the haitian wench thought that i was, in fact, that dumb. alarm bells started ringing in my head, emergency sirens went off in my mind, but luckily a healthy dose of skepticism based on pure logic and vast experience of travel throughout the third world soon took control of the situation. i could not help but remember that i had given jackeline 2, 000 pesos on friday night. how was it that she had no money to come to sosúa to see me if, indeed, she really did want to be with me? as tom gueguen said in his comment, 2, 000 pesos is quite a sum of money for the dominican republic. an unseemly amount for a girl such as she.
another scenario flashed through my mind. why should i go to some strange little hamlet in the middle of a third world country that i knew virtually nothing about in order to be with a woman whom i knew only superficially and whose credibility was quickly wearing thin? for all i knew, maybe it was just a set-up to shake me down for money. i was only comfortable in sosúa and unfamiliar with anything else. i did not wish to take any unnecessary chances. i told jackeline that i would have to talk to my friends about the matter and hung up. once again, i turned my cell phone off as i was rather put off by such accosting.
the day before, herman of siempre sol had told me that sunday was "pussy parade" at the beach and that i should be there by one o'clock if i wanted be guaranteed a seat. with that in mind, and in a daze over ana's brazen flakiness and jackeline's rather mysterious ruses, i quickly made my way to what had become my official watering hole in sosúa, indeed, my very zone of comfort: siempre sol. seeing herman's always sunny smile, sitting behind a table at his beach bar constituted a source of comfort for me. the first question that i asked him was about jackeline. he dismissed the whole matter in just a few words "forget about her, there are plenty of others". i also asked him about ana. "well, she is a rather odd girl. ". and with that, my concerns about ana and jackeline immediately evaporated. in any case, herman was quite interested in my haitian creole book and we made a deal for him to acquire it. he also told me that he would help me hook up with a stunner for that day. i was intrigued. and hopeful about the possibility.
several europeans and an american were sitting around, enjoying the local talent passing us by. one such chap was a dutchman named "frederik" who was, for me at least, a very likeable character though with a feisty polemical streak to him. there was also a kansan named tom as well as an englishman who had the odd luck of being able to monger in sosúa together with his wife/girlfried. there were also quite a few dutchmen sitting around.
i was distraught and rather pessimistic, given my luck so far but herman assured me that i had the overwhelming advantage of being able to speak excellent spanish and so there was still hope. then it happened. i once again saw the knockout black girl with lacoste sunglasses whom i had admired so much a couple of days before. in desperation, but with new-found confidence, i flagged her and her friend down and invited them to a drink. she agreed and beckoned me to sit down next to her.
she had remembered me quite distinctly when we saw each other two days before. she was impressed by my height and english flatcap (rather than the ubiquitous baseball hat everybody else seems to sport about in sosúa). her friend was, well, how should i put it, visually challenged. to put it bluntly, she looked more like mrs. shrek but without the trumpet ears and with coffee-coloured skin instead of the bright yellow-green skin of the original version. life's just not fair but i did invite the shrekette to a beer as well because, after all, i do try to be nice to everybody.
the scrumptious svelte ebony stunner spoke no english but, then again, i was absolutely delighted about that. she turned out to be from santo domingo and had been in sosúa for 4 months and went by the name elizabeth. she spoke in a rather slow and easy manne. she was, as it were, a kind of a stoner stunner. she said she was 18 going on 19 and was rather adamant about that although there was no "cédula" (id) to vouch for it. she claimed to have lost it. i had suspected that she might have been **** before and alarm bells once again started ringing in my ears but a thumbs-up from herman convinced me that she really was kosher, legit, and therefore, well. legal. no jailbait.
i asked her what she did for a living and she replied that she " worked" with tourists and quickly followed with the question "¿quieres andar conmigo? " (do you want to go out with me? ) i replied, in amazement, "o sea, por todo el día o incluso por toda la noche? " (you mean, for all day or even all night? ) she answered, "pues, sí". (well, yeah) while i was admiring her beauty and somewhat incredulous of my dumb luck, i quickly entered into negotiations. "cuánto pides? " (what is your price? ) "depende de tí" (up to you) came the thai-like response. i thought, well, for the whole damn day. and night, why not 3, 000 pesos? she accepted the proposal with a smile but then asked me if i wanted a menage à trois with her and mrs. shrek 2. 0. i politely declined, citing my traditional ways of preferring one man one woman during a single session. i was actually telling the truth, even if someone more palatable then shrekette had been number three.
in the meantime, in anticipation of a wildly lascivious romp with such a dark-skinned stunner, the reptilean part of my now-aroused brain started urgently sending involuntary but premature chemical messages to my third leg to balloon in size. the resulting bulge.- a real embarrassment but at least a sincere sign that no viagra or cialis was necessary.- did not go unnoticed. both elizabeth and mrs. shrek gleefully pointed out my happy banana. in fact, elizabeth went as far as grabbing my ever-engorging member. i playfully grabbed her groin in return but elizabeth, seemingly indifferent to such fondling, just laughed it off. the drop-dead gorgeous dominican strumpet reminded a lot of helpmann's fabled fuck puppet and definitely fit neatly into his "gazelle" category. i thought to myself, with anxious anticipation, that this was going to be an interesting day. it was, but not exactly according to my expectations.

One more thing. DR girls, when its there do it. Do not plan for later. Later is a word in spanish that means nothing. Later can mean 1 hour or 1 year. Experience whats there now. Many of these girls here "later" later". Does not real mean anything.

Looking forward to read more but with the price you offer it was necessary that it would have gone wrong.
You cannot offer 3 000 for a day wich are almost 3 weeks wages of a hostel worker.

I started to try to woo Elizabeth over. My Spanish has a Catalan tinge to it and so it sounds interesting to Dominicans although most Spaniards seem to loathe the Catalan accent in Spanish outright. While most Spaniards abhor Catalan-like accents, Dominicans love them. I suppose because a Catalan accent sounds exotic yet authentic enough and because it certainly beats whatever other Europeans (save for real Castilian or Andalusian Spaniards) can belt out. Well, I should come out and admit it: my Spanish far exceeds anything those girls can come up with. Their lack of education and provincial nature confines them to a level little better than a hillbilly from the Ozarks. In communication with Dominican girls, my problem, if there was one, was not my Spanish but their limited Spanish. A rather bizarre situation in view of my experiences in Thailand where I felt that my limited Thai seemed to be a distinct disadvantage.
I started out by saying things like: "Tu rostro, un rostro que podría lanzar mil barcos, me deja una impresión indelible en el alma"
"Tu belleza indiscutible me aturde, me deja sin defensas." (your undisputed beauty astonishes me, I am left defenceless)
or the famous Mexican come-on
"Tantas curvas y uno sin frenos" (so many curves and one without brakes)
I even invited Elizabeth and Mrs. Shrek to something to eat at Siempre Sol.
Eventually, Elizabeth and i decided to go. As I got up, Frederik the Dutchman was decked by another Dutchman. In the ensuing chaos, other people quickly stepped in to prevent Frederik from getting back at the oaf who aimed a punch at him. Apparently, it was a question of a tit for tat. The oaf had apparently mentioned that Frederik was, well, kind of special. Probably even gay. Frederik lashed back by saying something like, well, at I least I don't do drugs like you. The beer-besotted idiot replied with a punch. Herman handled the whole matter with panache and even sang "bésame, bésame mucho". Frederik was upset and I left with my sympathy firmly on his side.
Elizabeth and I headed to my hotel but I could not help but notice that Shrekette was coming along despite my explicit instructions that I was absolutely not into menage à trois.
I was ecstatic, even overjoyed that I was with such a pretty girl but growing rather alarmed that her Shrek-like friend was in tow. I knew what was coming but I thought that I would just let it play out.
When we arrived at the New Garden Hotel, we went straight to my hotel room and, fortunately, no one stopped us to card Elizabeth. Fortunately as she had no "cédula" (ID). Unfortunately, Shrekette came into the room with Elizabeth and Yours Truly. It was then that I calmly asked what she was doing with us. Mrs. Shrek said that she needed money for a meal. I told her that I had invited her to lunch but the visually challenged woman really had no recourse. Since hardly any gringo or European would most likely be willing to pay to bong her, her strategy was blackmail: pay me and then you can bonk my friend. I offered her 150 pesos. That was my final offer. As always in such cases, my line was the usual: "Oye, chica. No soy tonto y ya sé por dóndo van los tiros. Ya sé cuánto vale una comida y no te voy dar nada más que eso. Soy generoso pero no soy idiota." (Hey girl, I'm no fool and I know what the ropes are. I know how much a meal is and I'm not going to give you any more than that").
She finally caved in and up and went. Of course, I realized that it was all a part of the act that and Elizabeth was in league with her. Shrekette probably had no other way to make a peso. At least, we were alone. Elizabeth quickly stripped and beckoned to me to take a shower with her.
For me, at least, it is rather embarrassing to take a shower with a knockout girl, especially if you have such an intense hard-on. Her body was just what i liked. It was a very slim, slight body. Her nipples were of the most intense brown, even browner than her richly chocolate-coloured skin. At the Siempre Sol, I had seen that she had hairs around near her navel which was tell-tale sign that she was naturally quite hairy in the right places but I supposed that she would prove to be a shaver. Unfortunately, I was right but there was an unexpected touch to her nether regions: a tattoo. There was a tattoo of a salamander that ran astraddle the hairline covering the mons Veneris. She had not shaved for a day and so I could see where half of the salamander above the hairline and the other half was dipping below the devil's triangle.
My mind was in a spin at the very sight. Who was the lucky tattoo artist? How did he get paid? To what nethermost depths of slutdom could a girl stoop in having a such a tattoo etched there? She must have been spread-eagled while it was being done and I hear that tattoos can hurt. Although a piercing of the clitoral hood or labia is not unheard-of, I understand it is a quick thing to do but drawing a tattooo there does requires some time ....
We made our way towards the bed. She took a towel and spread it across the bed and lay down spread-eagled, awaiting my move. And move I did. I went down on her with great enthusiasm but I could see that Elizabeth, like Yossi, was just not into it. Although Elizabeth let me explore her salamander-emblazoned triangle and orifice without hindrance, it was certainly less enjoyable than it could have been. However, her snatch was perfectly tight and inner slit delightfully pink. Finally, Elizabeth, in a daze and rather blazé, told me
"Quiero tu leche"
which I knew meant, "get it over with". She was just too cute not to get my rocks off. a prophylactic-enhanced spermatic surge soon erupted inside the Dominican starfish. When it was over, she immediately got up and started smoking. No cuddling from this chick, no conoodling from the likes of her. I was quite literally left holding my limp appendage while looking at her puffing away in a daze.
I knew that she was in the business for the money but I hoped against hope that, perhaps, she might like to get her rocks off as well. i hoped that, perhaps, once Elizabeth got to know me better, she would improve her performance.
We rested a bit and told her that I would invite her to the finest, most expensive restaurant in all of Sosúa. This was no hyperbole, that is, I was definitely not bullshitting. I aimed to take Elizabeth to la Puntilla de Pier Giorgio.
We eventually headed back into the hot tropical afternoon sun that beat mercilessly down on Sosúa. I was somewhat at a loss as to how to get to la Puntilla de Pier Giorgio but we took a street that headed up ... and up. Elizabeth was getting tired. Even though I was more than twice her age, I was definitely fitter than she was. Eventually, we spied on the hotel. I ascertained that the restaurant was somewhere inside the hotel and so, I boldly led the way towards a lovely verandah. We were at the very top of Sosúa overlooking the whole town and looking out north towards the Gulf of Mexico.
I was quickly running out of local cash and so i decided to spend the cash on the dinner and then change 50 dollars to pay Elizabeth later.
The setting was breath-taking. The food might not have been as good as you could get in the old country but it was the best that you could buy in Sosúa. There I was, with a winsome beauty and I tried to connect.
What does one say to someone who knows absolutely nothing about anything? What does one say to someone who is there for just the money, to somebody who is interested in nothing beyond the most mundane? What can the honest man say to a girl who cannot, and will not, think further than the simplest platitudes imaginable to someone who never had any kind of real education?
I supposed that discussion of ontological arguments in favour of the existence of God would be out. I also figured that any discussion of the fundamental differences between Nietzschean nihilism and Kirkegaard Christian existentialism would likewise be out of bounds, not to mention examination of arguments in favour of string theory providing the answer to unifying Einstein's general relativity and quantum mechanics. I was sure any discussion of the Etruscans and their mysterious culture would any encourage yawns of excruciating ennui.
I imagined that talking about how different life between the Dominican Republic and the USA is or even Spain would be too heavy for one such as Elizabeth. Even topics closer to home such as the chances of Dominican President Lionel Fernández's being of re-elected or the effect of global warming on the Caribbean in the guise of hurricanes would be much too much. Even baseball seemed beyond her. And there she sat, silent as the grave, looking at me although it seemed not all the lights were on upstairs in her cute little noggin.
I decided to talk about .... well, what music did she like?.
She liked Shakira ... yeah, all music. All music? Yes, said she, all music in an extremely terse reply. Even classical music? Even Arabic music? Chinese music? Well, not exactly came the reply but without elaboration.
Then an awkward pause.
Hmm. I asked her where she would go if she won a trip to anywhere she wanted to go. She mentioned Miami ... and Spain. I told her, truthfully, that I knew people along the Costa Brava who could provide her with a job at a hotel if she wanted to go and work in Europe. She smiled at the idea but didn't pursue it, either out of ignorance, boredom, or perhaps even out of fear that the job might end up being a cover for white slavery (perish the thought but it does happen in Europe) as she barely knew me.
What do you really want to do in life?, I inquired, more in amusement than in all seriousness.
"Quiero casarme" (I want to get married) came the totally unexpected reply.
Awkward pause on my part. "What a catch she would be", I thought to myself in a moment of cynical reflection. A perfectly packaged airhead with a tattoo where the sun hardly shines (well, perhaps in Elizabeth's case, it probably does shine a great deal there), no education, little personality, fond of ganja inhalation, but with plenty of experience below her belt in every literal sense of the word. She was a sight to behold though. Her beauty, like everything mortal, is ephemeral and then where will she be when it is all used up? I quickly changed the subject.
I asked about her family. ¿Cuántos hermanos son ustedes? Cuentame de tu papá (How many brothers and sisters have you got? Tell me about your dad).
She mentioned that her father wasn't too bad as men went. He never abandoned the family. That was an interesting comment and so I decided to probe a bit more. Is he a good father? Elizabeth revealingly told me that he never beat her but if he really cared about her, he would come and fetch her from Sosúa in view of what she was doing. Hmmm. Wow. Enough about papá.

That was when her eyes lit up. She told me that her mother was a good woman and Elizabeth started fretting about her mother needing a thousand pesos to pay for a gas bill. Of course, I clammed up at the prospect of footing the bill for her own mother. I then told Elizabeth, quite truthfully, that I truly love my own mother very much.
I couldn't help but notice that Elizabeth just loved smoking. Perhaps in a rather avuncular way, I briefly mentioned the perils of smoking but I changed tack to say that marihuana had recently been found to be even more harmful than normal tobacco. Elizabeth actually seemed to be paying attention and the nervous twitches in her face told me that the source of her air-headed disposition probably lay in wisps of wacky tabacky smoke which seem to make up the lion's share of the air in her head.
I let Elizabeth have anything she wanted but she did not seem to want very much. She noted that men didn't like women to be very fat and was probably thinking of her poor Shrek doppelgänger of a friend. I was also sure that women in Sosúa didn't like poor men any more than we men like flabby Brumhildas.
I ordered a glass of over-priced but underwhelming Italian wine and, when dinner was over, I asked for a Capuccino. The coffee the waitress brought looked fine, but the taste thereof was more akin to instant Folgers long past its shelf life. Oh well. The scenery from the restaurant was breath-taking and more than made up for any shortcomings in the food department.
I asked for the bill and it came to over 2,000 pesos, a most outrageous gouging for a meal in Sosúa but, what the hell, I had the money and I had no regrets.
We headed back down to my hotel but then Elizabeth wanted to go back to her abode to "wash her clothes". She wanted her 3,000 pesos then and there and that she would come back to the hotel. By this time, she had flagged down a motoconcho. I quite truthfully told her that I had no more than half that amount at that moment but that I would definitely fork out the rest of the money later after I changed my dollars.
The motoconcho guy looked on as I was explaining all of this to Elizabeth. I turned to him and said: "Mira, ya se que no estoy en mi país y no juego con nadie. No quiero rollos, solo quiero la paz." (Look, I know that I am not in my country and I'm not playing with anybody. I don't want any hassles and only want peace).
Eventually, Elizabeth gave in, admitting that I had indeed invited her to a truly fabulous place and took the 1,500 pesos with the promise of the rest to be paid when she came back to my hotel.
She told me that she would come back to the hotel at 8 o'clock and off she went.
I was as good as my word and made my way back down to Calle Pedro Clisante to change my dollars with the local money changers. It was there that I learnt that you could get a much better deal there than in banks or at the airport in Puerto Plata. I now had the money that I had promised Elizabeth.
At 8 o'clock, I was at the front entrance, just as I had been for Ana. Elizabeth didn't come at 8 as expected. I kept drinking beer at the New Garden Hotel bar which had run out of Presidente beer. Unexpectedly, at 8:20, Elizabeth, looking somewhat concerned, showed up. She told me that she had been very busy washing her clothes and that she would meet up with me at the Latinos bar at nine o'clock. I always thought that the ability to speak decent spanish is the key for not paying this amount of money.

The going price for long time or toda la noche is/was between 2,000 and 2,500. Some reported even high prices such as 3,000 or even 4,000 if the girl is hotter than hot and if you are hornier than horny (or dumber than dumb).
The going price for short time is/was about between 1,000 and 1,500 if the girl was decent, 500 pesos if less than decent.
Thus, in view of these prices, I thought that todo el día was a longer commitment than toda la noche. Thus, according to this reckoning, perhaps groundless reckoning, I offered that money. In view of what happened anyway, it didn't help and, as you can see, this all happened even though I was a perfect gentleman to her, reasonably good-looking, and spoke excellent Spanish and was generous to a fault. That fact that she was also so pretty probably clouded my judgement (rather than a Presidente) and I remember one member's remark, if you absolutely must, go for it. Carpe diem. That is what I did.
Now, in view of what you and Tom Guegen are saying, I am probably guilty of flashing my money around, something which was not my intention. What are the prices for decent chicks? I now feel so foolish but I did it based on the figures given above. Was I so grossly misinformed?

There's not absolute rule.
The most important is that you enjoy what you get for your money.
I can read that the prices you are writing are in the good range but they are after having negociating with the girl.
According to me the mistake is to propose in first offer this kind of prices.
The chica if she accepts it will try to get more because she has gained it without any effort of her part.
I always offer a reasonable low price and rise it if I really want the girl.

Fuck that. If you see ANY chick in daytime hours on the street, beach, or as a customer at a bar, then start at 500. If you see her inside of a club at night or she is a bartender, then start at 1000. Much of it will rest with your people and/or salesman skills. My negotiation in a club scene usually goes like so:
Me: How much do you want?
Her: 2000 for two hours.
Me: Be serious with me. This is not my first time here. Maybe I would give you 2000 for two days but definitley not for two hours.
Her: How much would you give me?
Me: 1000 for all night.
Her: I always get 2000..blah, blah, blah...
Me (especially if it is already late): You have been here all night. So you would rather go home with 0 than to come with me all night for 1000?
(Sometimes it is helpful to show 1000 and let her eyes decide for her. This works well when bargaining for souvenirs too. When the person wants 500 but you show them the 200 you are willing to give them they are more likely to cave in (if it is higher than their buying price) than they would with you only blurting out numbers.)
Her: But I have to be at such and such place really early in the morning...
Me: Well since you can not stay the night I will give you 750 for (whatever time.)
Her: Okay. Where is your hotel?
Deal closed.
Keep in mind that when you say "decent chicks" that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Most chicks who I think are smoking only consider themselves to be average, especially in countries like DR, Colombia, and Brazil because they actually are average and a dime a dozen. You can tell the girls who think they are hot shit because they will have their nose in the air. It is harder to get them to come down from a high price because guys have spoiled them along the way by paying it. On top of that they are probably average or below in bed and are not going to make a good GFE. This is why you can not be afraid to walk away. (Many times if you turn your back she is going to chase you down and accept your offer.) Never ever ever go over 2000. Only go up to 2000 in a rare must-have toda la noche case. Remember you are in a buyer's market. In another two minutes you will see another just like her who you will want just as much and will accept your price.
