I find it interesting reading some of these posts and decided to put in my few cents worth. As far as bringing a chica back home and marrying one, well, I would think there being 99% chance of this backfiring one way or the other. The nice thing I find about places like Dominican is that the country is still poor and generally the people in these places have a different mentality than in more fortunate places. Don't get me wrong, I am under no impression that a lot of them are great con artists and not innocent, but just saying that their circumstances give them a different outlook. It does not take long after arriving in North america or wherever that this different outlook goes out the window and the person becomes same as any other north american chica. Ie. What you say has some truth. However I find that most women are feeding themselves and family members. The pay in the dr is terrible. Unemployment rate is over 20%. When these women use men for money, it is doubtful whether that many have an attachment to one who can't provide any. As far as the drugs side goes, I think it is hard to estimate. Having worked with drug addicts in other countries my general impression is that polysubstance abuse is common and that people who are addicted to substances also tend to drink alcohol and smoke tobacco a lot. Certainly the number who smoke cigarettes seems quite low, although there are some. I think the substance abuse may be lower in the Haitian population.

Some probably do it to feed their kids and support their families and others do it to support bad habits. And there is probably as many other reasons as there are putas. I don't pretend to be an expert on the mob in the DR, but from what I see, at least in Sosua, the presence of undesirables like pimps and hardcore crack addicts does not seem as rampant as I have seen in many North American and European cities. I am sure all this is present there, especially in the larger cities, although to what extent I am not sure. I do however agree with OldKool when it comes to showing the girl you are with a nice day. Afterall they, in most cases treat us to a nice time. I suppose some of the members here disagree with paying more than a certain amount for services. My philosophy on that is that I don't mind spending a few extra bucks on the girl. After all back home those kind of services would cost one considerably more.
