And what do you think? You will find low cost ticket on black market?
In 98 in france I found ticket on blackmarket for double of normal price in 2005 for ueaf final in paris price was 1500e for 1 ticket.
Man wake up, you live in another planet, better you go on beach maybe they will built a big screen for live broadcast, you get good vibes and for free.

The last sales phase of ticketing is going on through it would be tough to find a ticket to Maracana. You should try forums like big soccer which has dedicated threads on extra tickets which some folks are holding and they want to sell at face value or little more. Maybe you can get lucky and find a ticket to Rio.
I myself have been lucky to get tickets to Maracana for 2 games directly from Fifa.
Gents, does anyone know (or expect) that there are going to be ways to buy tickets on the spot in Rio? Of course, FIFA claims only their tickets are genuine, but it seems everyone and their mother sells them, albeit at a premium.
Unexpectedly was able to free up some time and snag a flight to Brazil during the World Cup, and now it seems crazy to fly to Brazil and not see the game. I'm not a huge fan, but I love a good game. Of course, there is nothing good left on FIFA by now, and other sources want around a grand or more. No, thanks!
Another option would be to take a couple of days and fly to Manaus or Natal, but I would love to go to Maracana.
Any Rio residents or people "in the know" care to comment on this?
Or if you don't get a ticket, make some friends with some cariocas. Most of them will be gathered around an enormous tv they've bought especially for the ocasion (Paulistanos even more, since they don't even have a beach to go to.)

On a more serious note, I'm fine with double the price, but Ebay is more like quadrupling the price right now. And I'm looking for regular games, not the final.

Thanks
I second this question. I also will be heading out to Rio in two weeks, and was wondering if there were any price, or other updates to Bubba's guide.
Thanks in advance!
better you go on beach maybe they will built a big screen for live broadcast, you get good vibes and for free.
Correction. A giant screen will be erected on the beach. As during the pasts Copas. It will be full of people (I am talking hundred of thousands of people) , especially when Brazil is playing.
Globo TV and Banderaintes TV also have small kioskes showing their live programming 24 hr on the beach. I remember watching Spain vs. France during the Euro cup 2 summers ago with bunch of Spaniards and Frenchmen. Although they will hissing each others during the game, they all hugged it out when the game was done (Spain beat France). Thats' why soccer or footbal is relevant around the world.

Threads
Maybe Jackson would be ok with a separate thread for World Cup posts? Clearly a lot of people will want to post or ask questions about it and it would be helpful to have a separate areas rather than mixing it up with mongering (bearing in mind people will post about it anyway)
