I am a newbie going to be in Bangkok in a week and has to stay in a five star hotel for business. Anyone have any suggestions of how I can bring an sp back to my room or just get two hotel rooms? Also will there be any fellow mongers who could show a fellow monger around?

Would be interested to hear if anyone else is getting wide-ranging refusals to go under 2000. If so, maybe it's some kind of coordinated effort or push they're making this high season? Last year during high season I didn't have any trouble getting 1500.
If not, you might just be spending too much time in Baccara and Tilac.

The typical way is to put them in a taxi, hop in, and direct the taxi driver to your hotel. Once you arrive at the hotel you have her get out with you. As you walk into the hotel you walk her to the elevator. If approached by security allow them to discuss with the lady and she may hand over her I'd. She knows the drill. In many cases they won't ask for the I'd. They may simply ignore you or they may rush over to push the elevator button for you depending on the property.

That can be a little awkward as respectable guests swirl about. There are plenty of Short-time hotels in Bangkok if you want a basic quickie or low-budget hotels to use as a secondary place to do your deeds.
