Santo Domingo

Thanks for the info Jjbee. I ended up going with the company Dominican Airport Transfers. I got round trip form the airport for two people for 75 US, and round trip from Santo Domingo to La Romana for 229. I know it's not as cheap as using the bus, taxi or even renting a car, but I like having the ease of someone else driving and the convenience of going right from the airport to he hotel.

There are many barrio women who are dark skinned. I bumped into a young woman in Santiago, at a McDonald's, who spoke rather decent English and was a Med student at PUCMM; her dad came to pick her up, in a shiny Toyota 4 runner. I managed to get her phone number but the whole thing did not go anywhere. She also happened to have been a white skinned woman, much desired, as it appears, on this forum. If I were twenty years younger, it would be a different ball game but such women, unless one is fabulously rich, are beyond reach (at least for me) but the underlying issue is essentially a question of social class, perhaps also parity of age but certainly not of geography. In short these women (in Santiago or in SD) are no easier than college women in any town, USA, white or not.

You have a healthy imagination. I say this because Santiago is the country's second largest city yet you imagine you can describe all the women there as if they are the same. You describe them as upscale and some of them are, but some of the country's most desperate ghettos are in Santiago. I's hard to generalize.

The conversation about public health strategies in the DR was actually better than the sex in her case, but she was a very decent young woman. I will add that some middle class and well to do are down with pay for play while many in barrios or campos of Santiago are not. Back in the day I had chicas from all over Santiago, from chicas that picked me up in their brand new Toyota, to chicas from cienfuegos. Girls from navarette, villa Gonzalez, mao, some small town between la Vega and Santiago, licey, gurabo etc etc etc.

Heck back in the day, many casas were filled with chicas from Bonao, La vega and Santiago.

On the flip side Santiago women are harder to pull, or get in bed. That's for sure. I met two women in moca, one of which I slept with the other I couldn't and gave up way too easily. The latter on of the prettiest woman I've met in DR. Then again my on and off GF from SD is also very pretty (wasn't easy to bed at all) and very very wealthy (dad's money).

I was in SD a month or so ago, and only went to GDP the former 1000 peso place which is now 1200. Other than that and the casa de citas that charge 4000 on george Washington and pasteur, and also the SW around that area where else can you find P4 P? I've heard of car washes but never found any. Can someone give me addresses? Will either go to SD, MDE or RIO, the latter two will be as a first timer, so not sure whether to go somewhere new.

Years ago at casona dorada in SDQ there was a cute girl at reception. Literally every guy that checked in hit on her. She would look down at them and say "I don't date tourists". She was studying biz admin. One dude even would take off his shirt and walk on his hands front of her, thinking that would work. At the time I had a GF and lived nearby. We were there all the time. The owner would let us use the pool as long as I ate lunch and bought beers etc.

Over the course of two years, she always saw me with one girl. She saw how I was with the GFs kid. The kid adored me. When I broke up with GF, I'd still go there. Eat lunch, hang out at the bar etc. I would have buddies come down and many would stay there. After a few months of my being single. She started hitting on me. I played dumb / hard to get, for a laugh. Finally gave me her number. Was I some stud that was better looking or had more money than the literally hundreds of guys after her? As much as I would love to think so, no. In fact I was unemployed at the time. Came and went by foot or taxi etc.

In SDQ there are less car washes and more "piano bars". Same concept but many times more upscale. You see business men come in a group and order a bottle of johnny blue and have 4 waitresses attending them. After hours is up to the girl but many are available. However many get 500-1000 peso tips from these dudes so only go out with customers if they like them. Some of my faves have closed down. I spent many a night at Jotas, Puro Cafe, Baba Lu, Hot Cafe, Jey Jey, Franklins, XX OO, and Mameyes. Of those, all are closed except Franklin which has changed names and is somewhat upscale.

Mambo Bar on churchill is low end but has gems once in a while. I had gone out with a handful. Rumba Bar on 27 is more upscale and has live music most nights. There is one hidden off of independencia that is cool. No idea the name, opens late afternoon. Maybe 20 chicas. Live music some nights. Not sure of street but a side street near gas station. If I happen to drive by will make note of the street name. May be on calle Esperanza looking at google maps. If google had street view it would be easier. It is nearby what used to be pal alba if that helps.

Car wash Pirot is still around, but last time I went the chicas all are chatting and on FB and ignoring the high rollers that just dropped 100 bucks on drinks. I think that is why most are now closed. Many of these guys are married and they go for the flirting and attention, The girls are not paying attention so they stop going. Car Wash Pirot is near plaza caribe which is a low end joint in front of a park. I think Pirot is on Tunti de careers or Juan Pablo Pina. They have hotties from time to time.

For a more typical Santiago like car wash there are some smaller ones on Venezuela and a larger one on San Isidro before you get to Charles de gaulle on left hand side before where eagles used to be.

There are also some as you leave the capital on your way to STI but rougher neighborhoods.
