From Topland (where you can get tuks tuks easily) head towards Macro. You will go past the clock tower and you will see on your left a big club with a huge sign named Playground. Just before Playground is a bar with two red Chinese lanterns hanging out the front. I like to stop there for a beer.

From that bar you can see a soi directly opposite. Go down that soi and take the first right. This street had two brothels on the right hand side about 400 meters down. As you are going down that soi taking the second left takes you into a small soi that has two other brothels. One (my favourite) we call Schoolies as some of them are from the local Rajaphat.

Generally there are about 4-5 girls in each. I know the Thais pay 350 as I have sat there and heard the mamasan talk to them and then turn to me and say 500. Usually not, at least, it's not the case in several brothels that I know. Farangs or Thais, overpaying or not, girls will receive the same remuneration fee. In several places, I've noticed that the girls receive a plastic token for each customer they have and there's only one kind of token (same size, same colour), regardless of the price paid by or the nationality of the customer. Later, tokens will be converted in real money of course at a safer place (meaning, that would unlikely be raided by the Men in Brown).

Yes. There are several places like this in Udon Thani and Nong Khai for instance. I've been also able in the past (on several occasions) to take out different girls from various brothels in order to spend "quality time" at another place of my convenience. I've also checked several Lao passports belonging to girls working in those brothels on a few occasions. I got this info from a girl today on a Sunday session. Bearing in mind it is one of the girls, it may be taken with a grain of salt.

The girls here get given the money after each shag. If it is a Thai guy that get 150 baht. A farang guy 200 baht. She says they actually get a few farangs going there so that could be why they have this kind of system.

Well, in at least 3 different brothels (mostly frequented by the locals, but with a few Farang customers as well occasionally) where the pimps, mamasans or papasans, do not use the plastic token system or a similar one, I've been informed by various working girls that they always get the same fee per customer, regardless of the nationality and of the price paid.

But your figures are realistic as, depending on the place they work, the girls told me that they get 100, 150 or 200 baht per shag. In these 3 different brothels, prices paid are respectively 250 for Thais and 300 for Farangs, 300 for Thais and 400 for Farangs, 350 baht for Thais and 400 (that's what I and probably other regular Farang customers pay there) or 500 (that's what more recent Farang customers told me they pay at the same place) for Farangs.

So, it's quite possible that the system in place is a bit different in your brothel, but I'm certain that in many places, girls don't get more money (from the house, I'm not speaking about their tips here) when they have a Farang customer.

The reason I said I assume is because an experienced vistor had told me that before. Mind you an extra 50 baht is not that wonderful. I will stick with giving the mamasan a hard time and throw a 100 at the girl regardless. Great advice, Channy, and it's exactly what I (and probably most of the regular customers of these fine establishments) do.
