Great report! I was sorry to see it end. I enjoyed your perspective, your descriptions, your curiosity and reading about your hopes for the elusive GFE. I also especially enjoyed your colorful pick-up lines. They read like 19th century poetry.
In the end, would I be correct to assume that you paid Elizabeth 1500 for one pop and 150 for Shrekette to disappear.....then blew 2000 on a romantic dinner? The 1500 seems like no big deal. It's just the price of admission. It's the rest that demands personal examination IMHO. Were you trying to woo this puta with an expensive and "romantic" meal? So that somehow, quite miraculously, she would change from a uneducated Domincan peasant into a fairy princess? Of course, I know this is an exaggeration and you were just trying to be a decent guy and treat her well.
For me, in my own experience, it's about "expectations". If I expect a GFE with bells and whistles in a place like Sosua where poor young women are hustling men with money, I will be disappointed. My expectations would be out of line with reality. However, if I expect to explore and enjoy sexual exercise with a variety of females, then I'm going to be successful. If I'm lucky (as I have been on occasion) I'll find a dumb young thing, smooth and lithe like Helpmann's Fuck Puppet, who gets sexually excited by my efforts, and gives it as good as she gets it. But that's a lucky day in Sosua, not the norm.
In the end, as a gentleman of taste, discrimination and realistic expectations, I would have to say that 50-50 is a good batting average in Sosua. This means that half the encounters are pleasurable and a good value....and half are a disappointment. Another way to rationalize this hit and miss propostiion: It's just "the cost of doing business."
Also, a basic rule or "tip" that's been given here before: Never spend the big number for TLN before you've determined the basic value through a ST experience. If it's good, go for all nighters....but don't spring for an all nighter before you've has the sample taste!

Although my Spanish is not 100% fluent and was learned in the DR, them impression I get is that Spanish in the DR is a bit like the English in the English-speaking Caribbean, i.e. has a simplified grammar and vocabulary, so in either case speaking in the language of Shakespeare or Cervantes will probably earn mostly incomprehension.
Island people everywhere have a limited perspective and subjects of conversation mostly focus on family and friends, or on shopping. The girls tend to have relationships with their female relatives and friends, rather than with men, who are seem mainly as a source of money, gifts etc.
Your girl sounds pretty dim, but not exceptional. Evidently there was not much chemistry between the two of you, perhaps because she did not want it.

I was careful not to use the "vosotros" form (the second person plural) and to use "ustedes" as I knew most of them could not even understand it. Even words such as peanut "cacahuete" in Spain, "maní" in the DR and Cuba are quite different. However, Caribbean Spanish is more colourful and softer than the harsh Spanish spoken in Spain.
I am also afraid that you are spot on about the chemistry or lack thereof between us. Being nice, speaking the language, being of OK appearance or better, having money and being generous with it, being well-dressed, and treating the women like a strict gentleman is not always attractive to all women. Oh well. There are plenty of fish in the Sosúa pond.

If it were not for you people, my experiences in Sosúa would have gradually disappeared in my memory as the years go by. Now I will be able to recall the most interesting parts and feelings.
Need a few more visits to master Sosua mongering... !

First of all let's just say that I really enjoyed reading your reports, and this is not a criticism of you but myself . I do the same when I’m there, when I come back I see things much differently.
You seem to be enjoying the chase rather than the kill (rather dating than mongering). If that is what you like you were in the wrong town, head to Santiago or Santo Domingo. With your language skills you could score much higher quality semi-pros (or even if lucky non-pros) over there (uni students and/or some classy chichas).
In Sosua you find putas in every sense of the way. Just pay them and fu**k them. No need for spending all this money and time, taking them out to expensive restaurants, casinos and so on - of course if you are enjoying yourself that's fair enough, but as they say they are “the sure thing”.
Some might think with wine and dine and spending time with them they might get a connection/chemistry and have a better time in the sack. From my experience most girls make up their minds if they really like you and instinctively want to fuck you in the first few minutes of meeting you (just like us guys I guess ! ). The rest is just a game play (I wish I could read that signal and wouldn't waste my time too). The best is to try first and invest later.
You didn't seduce Jacqueline, it was other way around. Just because a girl has a day job doesn't mean she's not a puta. Many Sosua girls work during the day/night and you can find them in discos and bars pulling at night - some harder than others but they're mostly putas. As for waiting for Sosua putas, well don’t. They just take the best offer available at the time. I am glad you had a good experience at the end. After a few visits you get a bunch of favorites and hardly waste any time and effort on the rest.
