How is the non-pro scene in Quito?
I want to know too.
I tried out VIP Paradise Women yesterday afternoon. Was dead at 3pm, but chicas were starting to filter in. When I arrived there was only one working the rooms - Brigette, 21 yo morena, relatively slim, attractive. At first I wasn't interested in her, but her personality was good and after sharing a drink for 15 minutes ($5 chica drinks) I was sold. Had a memorable $15 session and English lesson - probably 30-40 minutes total and no rushing. The session was over because I was done . . . This was the most GFE I have seen outside of the massage place El Especator 817, where they are sweet as sugar, especially to return customers.
The place is really a corner house with a warm and welcoming decor, although no real sign that it is a sex club. On my second pass by, the ever-present "black dude" was out front - a sure sign of a chica club. Lots of decent couches to sit on and relatively nice rooms. It gets a thumbs up from me, especially during the dead hours. With a bigger crowd it could become another Club 122 meat market. Spent $3 entrance = cuba libre, $5 chica drink and $15 ficha. For about an hour total I got my moneys worth.
As to non-pros and GFE, this varies so much that it is hard to pin down. Depends upon your age, appearance, style, social skills and Spanish ability. There are a number of discos / salsa dancing places with lots of young people. YMMV . . .
I am worried about the economy of Ecuador.
Do you think the economy will take a nosedive, now that Tung & Ezinho are out of the country?
Will there be massive layoffs in the chongo industry?
IS the motto "get laid or get laid off?"
This troubles me also. So long as all goes well at the frontier I should be providing a financial stimulus package -- an injection of liquidity one could say -- for Quito sometime in Nov or Dec.
I want at least a month to shop for and arrange a gf to come with me to the beach for Christmas and New Year, as during this time it is apparently pathetic selection in the chongos.
Got back today. After 3+ weeks in Quito, my final thoughts and advice are as deep as Jerry Springers . . .
1) Take lots of small bills. I took 30 singles, 20 fives and 10 tens and that lasted a week at most. They suck up small bills here like a Hoover. Getting change is a major pain in the ass.
2) Print several copies of Tung's chongo maps/ addresses and keep them with you - along with a decent city map. I first thought that knowing the street/block would be plenty good enough. Certainly there would be a neon sign or some chicas hanging out in front of each place. No way. Most of these places give no clue as to what is inside. Without the exact address you are often lost. Only possible clue . . . a black dude out front or someone with a shotgun.
3) Bring your own rubbers and a clean-up kit. Like some Kleenex and Handi-Wipes. Hand disinfectant. Whatever. You will be glad you did . . .
4) Patience is not just a virtue, it’s a necessity. Shit happens here. No phones or no electricity or no water. All happened to me. You need to roll with the punches, although at times that is easier said than done.
5) Watch your back, especially at night when the streets are often deserted. Things shut down with the sun – around 6 to 7pm. But the greatest danger by far, is the traffic. Look all possible ways before crossing the street, even on a one-way. After dark many drivers will not honor a red light. According to several cabbies, the law says after 9 or so you can just blow through. Probably BS, but they all do it.
My favorite places were Club 122, because of the variety and its proximity to my apartment and El Espectador 817 because of the service. Expect between 20-50 chicas depending upon time and day at Club 122. Only $8 fichas and I always saw several beauties here. Hard to believe you can fuck any of these women for just $8. Seemed like DisneyLand for adults. Great selection, but a real meat market. Gets crowded 7-9pm. Rooms and hygiene are poor. Performance varies wildly. Decent massage and GFE with bbbj/hj for $15 at 817. Different vibe completely. It all depends on what you like. Obviously, if you do not appreciate massage, may not be for you. I thought it was the best deal in Quito . . .
I only scratched the surface as far as visiting all the various clubs. Saw 8 in all. Best to figure out what you like and work the girls repeatedly at a place you are comfortable with. YMMV depending on age, skills, interests and Spanish ability. Things can be chilly with many of the club girls – but with a 2nd ficha or 2nd visit it can change completely. And some of the hard-looking chicas become real sweethearts behind closed doors. And some not . .
Will write later about other tourist places to visit once I get my info together.
All and all, an interesting trip. Great prices. Beautiful women. Will return someday. Give it a try. Cheers, -P

I took $500 in small change the last trip and it only lasted me a week 1/2 or two weeks. They do suck up small bills. I was using it to pay for common things though (like bar bills) so I wouldn't have to hit the ATM for $20s.
...And don't be shocked if they aren't open when they say they are supposed to be. Many of them operate when they want to.
I think I've only ever screwed once with a latino condom. I usually go to walmart and buy 2 12 packs of trojen/durex and then watch the expression of the check-out lady.
Try DR. It's really a lesson in patience there.
Many countries use a first-honk rule for intersections. I have been in taxis that have done it at night.

Cool report. I understand where you're coming from and all.
However, did the rates at 817 El Espectador suddenly go up to $15 from $10??? When I was there a couple of months ago, it still was only $10 and a small tip was appreciated, not expected. I gave between $2-$5.
Are you saying that the base rate is now $15? If so, it's not the steal that it used to be after a 50% price increase. Please clarify.
No,
You are right. It is still $10 for 45 min massage. But I tipped $5 from the get go based upon the posts I read. Plus let me confess . . . after the first week I gave them all $20 per session. I know . . . a $10 propina is crazy in Quito but these girls worked hard, gave me some serious bbbj/ deep t and treated me like a king.
For the club girls, I tipped from zero to .50 to $2 max. But that's all they deserved. Plus I always tip more if I know for sure I'm going back. It was a wise investment. Made 8 trips in all. Great GFE with all 3 of the chicas. They definitely don't expect or ask for the extra. It just seemed like the right thing for me.
Also note that the place is busy from 1-2pm, which is the typical Quito lunch hour. Again busy from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Last session at 6:30. Open Mon-Sat / closed Sun.
Man cannot live by pussy alone – although many of you are trying . . .
Here is a list of “tourist attractions” for any first time visitor to Quito. Not at all complete, just those places I went to during my trip.
---El Centro Historico and the churches---
The views from El Panecillo and the teleferico are excellent and worth a visit to each. Also a night tour via taxi of the various churches / Catedral/ Basilica – all of which are illuminated, is impressive. To see the church interiors, you need to visit by day. The best is La Campania de Jesus. San Francisco has an associated museum as do several others. I’m not big into religious art, but still worth seeing.
---Museums---
Visited the Numismatic museum, the Museum of the City and the Maria Augusta Urrutia House Museum, all in the Centro Historico. The money museum is small and traces the history of Ecuadorian currency from seashells to the US dollar. It is housed in a former central bank building and worth about 30 minutes. The City Museum follows the history of Quito up to late 1800’s. Nothing at all from the last 110 years. Some nice exhibits and a fairly large place, but I was a little disappointed here. 1 hour minimum. The Urrutia House is the former residence of a wealthy Quito widow who gave her fortune to the poor children of her city and religious concerns. Fairly interesting, but not a must. 1 hour. Almost all the museums of Quito give free guided tours – and they are mandatory in many.
---Art Museums---
The 2 greatest 20th century Ecuadorian artists – Guayasamin and Egas, both have dedicated museums. Both are excellent.
The Guayasamin House Museum and the Capilla del Hombre is a first rate attraction. His former home and gallery contain several exhibits of his own art as well as a pre-columbian collection he made over his lifetime. The adjacent (4 blks away) Capilla , is a work still in progress at his death – a gigantic non-religious chapel with his murals and large-scale paintings. Plan for 2+ hours total. Also great views of the Quito valley.
The Camilo Egas Museum is in the Centro Historico and is relatively modest in scope. But the art here is first rate. Especially impressive is the initial room with his early work of native women and nudes from 1916-1928. Gave me wood . . .
The Central Bank Museum contains a nice collection of art from the Incas to present day. Something for everyone, it is an excellent overview of Ecuadorian art history. 1-2 hours. Well presented.
In the same building is the Modern Art and Musical Instrument Museum. Cool collection of ancient musical instruments including several “penis” flutes along with lots of 20th century art. Very strange lighting system – motion-activated, but was not working properly. Still enjoyed it. 1 hour+
---Casa de la Cultura---
This large modern building near El Ejido Park contains the Central Bank and Modern Art museums (above) along with a tourist info center, a cinema and a theater. Every Wednesday night at 7:30, the theater presents Jacchigua – a folkloric ballet show. It is aimed at tourists - $25 entry!, but is a great experience. Over 75 dancers and a native band give a 2 hour show. Definitely worth the time and money.
---Other Stuff---
Every Saturday and Sunday 10am-6pm, there are local artists selling their work at El Ejido Park, along with lots of booths selling native arts and woolen goods. Also some food stalls. Worth a visit.
The cinema "Ocho y medio" is located in the barrio of La Floresta. It shows international and art films. Definitely NOT Hollywood stuff. There are 2 theaters – one for digital video the other for 35mm film. They have a great selection each night and print a free monthly newspaper that gives the line-up as well as discusses the world of cinema. Excellent. A bit of New York-style culture in Quito . . .

It crossed my mind to do something normal other than chasing booty... but it's only something I'd probably do if I had a girl with me already and wanted to kill some time. I did see lots of museums though. There are some by a major park a few blocks from gringolandia. Walked by them.
It all comes back to the booty...

I've looked through alot of the past threads on hotels, and and didn't see many that came up frequently. It seems like Quito is not as popular for take out as other locales like Lima, San Jose, and the likes. I'm not a big chain $100 a night type of guy and wanted to know what everyone else likes for a mid priced hotel with a great location and a bring chica in option. What to you all is a great location for everything in Quito, close to Amazonas or? This adventure I'll be in PTY, LIM, and Quito. Thanks in advance.

David
Know what you mean, dude. Kind of paradoxical.
Helps to already have some friends, family, or buddies to hang with already around at these whoring destinations. Mongering can get lonely even with getting lots of cheap sex. GFEs might change some of that, but I hate paying that much for pussy. I know a lot of guys do it, but that's pretty sad if you ask me (i.e. having to pay for or buy friendship/companionship).
Sadly, most our friends we've know for years whose company we might normally enjoy are either:
too content with their sex prison/the same old lady,
too damn poor,
too spooked to leave the hometown,
too morally opposed for paying for pussy (P4P),
too gay, and/or
too much whatever else....

I've tried talking people into coming along before (people that I'd meet at a strip club or something) but most people either lack the finances or are not used to international travel. Travel can be intimidating the first few times until you get used to it. We all know travel isn't cheap either!
P.S. I'd never offer to travel with someone unless I knew they were a true monger. That would spoil a vacation!
David
The less people coming here the better.........
Some people are just meant to stay home.
Someone should start putting up photos of the really ugly women. They're out there. Just let everyone see.
I'll be there and have nothing responsible to do from 10pm Wednesday night until sometime Friday. Last time, I went to Cafe Rojo which was pretty good. The time before that, I went to that massage place on the hill, which was okay. Never been to 121, but can't see that lasting. I would prefer NOT to drop much below Cafe Rojo quality of girls and facilities, but not MUCH more expensive, either. Where does that leave me??
Also, anybody ever play poker at the casinos? I don't think the Hilton has it even though an independent site said that it did.
