I'd like to share my recent trip so that maybe some of the more experienced members can advise me and so others may learn a lesson or two. This was my first time ever going to Tijuana. I'm white early 30's but speak fluent Spanish so I negotiate everything in pesos.

It was Friday three weeks ago. I took the greyhound from LA to San Ysidro. I was supposed to go with a buddy but he chickened out at the last moment and I had already taken the day off from work so I said fuck it, and headed down by myself.

I arrived in SY at 8 pm and crossed by foot. I walked a bit from the border to near a Pemex and caught a cab for 70 pesos to Hotel Villa de Zaragosa. The hotel was about 750 pesos plus 150 deposit that was refunded the next morning. The hotel was not bad at all compared to some fleabag motels I've stayed at in the us.

By 9 pm I was ready and caught a cab for 50 pesos to Hong Kong. It was definitely like I imagined. Packed with very hot girls for every taste.

The first floor was so crowded that I could not sit down for about twenty minutes. I finally ended up sitting at the bar in the back of the club and spoke with a guy from Miami for a bit. He told me about the foam show no the second floor so I headed up to see that. The second floor was also very packed. I watched the foam show for a bit and then headed up to the third floor.

This floor was deserted and I sat down. About a minute later a girl came over and sat with me. I won't name her for reason you'll read in a bit. She was about 5'6" voluptuous, nice big tits and what I presume was dyed blonde hair. She had a very pretty face but was at least pushing 30. She sat with me and we chatted for a few minutes. I ended up walking around the block and checking out the street girls. Finally I saw a cute girl and negotiated 300 pesos. She was very enthusiastic on the street. If you want a better and slower experience with the Chicas at HK or Adelitas, consider making a Sunday or Thursday visit where the girls are less mercenary. If you have to go on a weekend, then pick out a chica looking less like a working girl (no false boobs, butt, lips).

I find the girls more pushy on Friday and Saturday nights than at other times. I'm usually out of the area by 9:00 PM on Friday and about 7:00 PM on Saturday. Girls are more personable and relaxed when the bar isn't so busy.

Your description of street girl performance is typical, at least for me. Next time be sure to negotiate everything you want while still on the street. Clothes off? Blow job? Whatever you want. Prices skyrocket once you are in the room.

Some posters report affectionate service from the street girls. I don't get that too often, but I don't speak enough Spanish.

In my experience, the escorts are more affectionate than the Zona Norte girls. Others would disagree.

A large collection of normal (civie) clubs in downtown Tijuana is on 6th street, in the blocks adjacent to Revolution.

You apparently don't want to just select a chica in 10 seconds, then take her upstairs. You want to fake-date the chica for a drink or two or more before going arriba. Instead it seems like you'd prefer a 90-minute affair.

I would recommend that you give it another try, but with a few changes.

I recommend that you pass on Villa de Zaragoza until after you have established a few Tijuana chicas that you can call for a rendezvous. Instead take an overnight room in Cascades.

You visited other bars in LZ (not just Adelitas & HK) but I would recommend two specific ones for you: Las Chavelas & Bar Tropical. Las Chavelas is located next door to HK and Bar Tropical is located directly across the street from Hong Kong Bar on Coahuila Ave.

Give yourself some time to hang out in these two bars, don't hook up with the first chica that approaches you. In these two bars I think you possibly will find the type of chica experience you might be seeking.

Yes, the girls in HK and Adelita, especially on the weekends, tend to be straight-up hookers. Adelita has been known as a fuck factory, but HK has caught up. Weekends tend to be very busy, some might say sausage fests, and the girls are there to make as much money as possible. I'm with you, and I'd rather take a bit more time and enjoy the experience.

As you speak Spanish you're way ahead of the game. Try the smaller bars and you'll generally find much less of the hard-core attitude. And bars frequented by locals tend to be much "lower key" than the frenetic HK and AB. Locals like to shoot the shit with the girls, pay them $1 a dance, and so forth. Tropical and Las Chavelas are good options. Chicago is good if you want a REALLY quiet bar. There will only be a few girls there, and you'll practically have the place to yourself. Farther afield, for a seriously local joint, with seriously local ladies, try El Fracaso on 1st, between Constitucion and Revolucion.

You didn't mention your age. Calle Sexta is a great place to associate with locals and try your hand at a pick-up, but it's a fairly young crowd. If you're in your 20's - 30's you'll probably be OK. Regardless of age, Las Pulgas, on Revu and 8th, will be jam packed with locals of all shapes, sizes and ages on Friday and Saturday. Weekdays are reasonably busy, too, but not packed to the rafters like a weekend.

I heartily recommend Craigslist for GFE, much longer times at much more reasonable prices. A lot of guys shy away from that because of language difficulties, but that won't be a problem in your case.

There is sports betting but they do not have large screens. They do have multiple screens by the bar. If you secure a date you can see a movie for around $3 and check out the mall or restaurants. They have the beach in Rosarito. They also have karaoke bars if that is your thing.

There is also one behind Cascadas hotel, but it is tiny with maybe 15-20 slot machines, 2 card tables that are always empty, and a bunch of tables for people watching sports or horse racing on small TVs. It smells like an old junior high school gym and most of the people in there are suspect looking. There's another one in Plaza Rio. That one has around 6 card tables which include black jack. It also has a lot of slots and sports book with about 8 TVs and tables. There's also a Caliente casino in Pueblo Amigo Hotel just across the border. That one has no card tables, but the sports book is a a tad bigger than the one is Plaza Rio and there are more slots. The largest one I've gone too is located in Agua Caliente. It has an actual live horse track where you can sit in leather lounges while also watching sports on 50 inch flat screens. There are more card tables here and tons of slots. It looks the closest to an American Casino, but the problem is that it is located the furthest away from the Zona.
