I read in a newspaper down here that 300 moto riders die in accidents every month in Medellin alone. Driving down here isn't for the faint of heart, and I definitely wouldn't recommend a moto of any kind. If you're not planning on exploring from town to town and plan to stay in Cartagena, cabs are cheap, plentiful, and far, far safer.
