I lived and worked in Asia for over 10 years. I still travel extensively in Asia and work with some of prettiest and sweetest girls and classiest women in Asia every day.

I am from east coast and never been to Tijuana till now. But after reading your great reports and experience, I am desperate to go there. I usually traveled Bangkok but seriously its a long flight. If we have something so nearby then I am lucky enough.

I have some questions, it would be great if somebody can help me:

I am planning to take tram from San Diego airport to to the border and cross border walking and planning to take take yellow cab to the hotel in the action area.

1. Do we need car rental for mongering in Tijuana?

2. While going into Tijuana anybody checks passport or any immigration stamping happens?

3. Do we get LT girls in HK club or any like in Pattaya or only short time. And how's the rates for LT.

4. While coming back to US, I have read that we have to go through US custom and immigration. Can you please tell is this same place from where we entered by walking. I am asking because I wanted to check will taxi be able to drop me there for US immigration and from there can I walk to San Diego tram stop.

In order to avoid getting your passport stamped, instead get a passport card and use it at the border. Unlike Pattaya, Tijuana is geared toward S / T sessions. Few providers offer L / T arrangements. Prices vary greatly. When I'm in Tijuana, I'm mostly interested in 100 pesos BJs, so I'm not the best source for info on L / T arrangements with Tijuana providers. You can return to the United States at the same San Ysidro crossing you used to enter Mexico, just ask a Tijuana taxi driver to take you to "La Linea por cincuenta pesos".

2. Yes going in at San Ysidro as a ped. You must present a passport. However they may not always stamp it.

3. While the most common is short term. Long term seems to be more available based on becoming somewhat of a regular and if you are able to build some chemistry. Cost can very from free to a couple hundred.

4. Don't know about a tram. But if you are talking about the trolley. No need to worry when you exit the building you will be right at the trolley station.

It's a shithole you want to enter and leave as fast as possible, or it's a very interesting place to explore, populated by some very friendly, warm people.

Tijuana in itself isn't a "destination," and certainly not someplace you'd want to fly across the country, on a regular basis, to visit. But if you live fairly close, and your idea of a vacation is to go someplace cheap, never leave the bars and screw as many girls as possible in a short time frame, then Tijuana may be better than flying half-way around the world. Of course, this is not my idea of a vacation but it is to some. To each his own, no criticism here.

I find that the more interesting action is to be had from the independents. It's pretty easy to build up a rotation of nice ladies with whom you can spend a bit of time and not go bankrupt buying lady drinks and paying by the half-hour. But, again, that really only applies to somebody who is close enough to visit frequently.

Tijuana has become a fantastic foodie destination. Tacos my azz, some of the very best food you'll eat, at prices a third of what you'll pay in the USA, are everywhere in Tijuana. The wines of the Valle de Guadalupe have improved light years in the past decade, and the wineries are definitely worth a visit. Not to mention the world-class restaurants nestled among them.

Baja is full of nice beaches and the Sea of Cortez is the world's largest fish net, with a bazillion species of fish to see, if you're a diver. If not, there is certainly good swimming.

For the occasional visitor, my point is that, as in many other countries, you can find an escort who is willing to travel, and then see much of what Baja has to offer. That's been my MO for a long time. Find a girl and travel around their country seeing things that package tourists never see. That, IMHO, is the ticket for the occasional visitor. But if you're flying a long distance, simply for a sex vacation, Tijuana is nowhere near the top of the list.

Tijuana is still one of the places I am considering moving to one day because of reasonable cost of living and proximity to the US. For example, you can live like a king down here on a middle class US budget, yet have access to world class medical care in So Cal should it be needed. And you can have a wife 1/3 your age without being deemed a pervert (Notice I said 1/3 and not 1/2, LOL). My point is that cheap pussy isn't on my list of reasons to relocate. OK, it is. But it is not at the top.

BTW as a warning, another side effect of visiting Tijuana is that once I returned to the US, I noticed that all the women around me were fat. Mexico is slowly catching up, but unavailability of fast Internet is hardly the problem it was a few years back. Their biggest problem is that Telmex is a monopoly, owned by Carlos Slim in another shady backroom deal. Monopolies are verrrrryyy slow to introduce new technology, as well as charging exorbitant rates.

The web site for American Movil (the spin-off that eventually bought Telmex) states that all of Mexico's major cities are linked by fiber. Many smaller cities, as well as the large ones, now have fiber to the houses. I read somewhere that they've been laying fiber since the '90's.

I'm sure all of this varies by location, as it does here. But lack of high-speed Internet is definitely not a reason to avoid living in Mexico.

Cost of Fuck (COF) along with the OC lifestyle and the blah blah blah makes me impatient. The last actual US date or COF was 3 months dating, a BBBJCIM at a cost of $2,000 (multiple dates). It was another 5 days before I got to smell it and touch it (yes, no condom involved ever). She was a wild cat and no restrictions. Also, I realize it would be a much different experience if one were to stay down there for an extended amount of time. I actually did spend a couple nights away from the Zona in a hotel off Revolution in an attempt to experience the tamer side. I have no plans of actually moving down there, but I must say trying it out for a month or two (while working from a laptop) does sound awfully tempting. I'm fortunate to have some flexibility with my work and am about 60-70% fluent in Spanish. If I were to try a longer trip, I would try to get a girlfriend (or two) or seek out some type of arrangement. I sure as hell couldn't be in ZN every night. I'd get burnt out and come home significantly poorer. After my cherry trip, I just realized that Tijuana is a legitimate option for a longer term trip (for me personally) a heck of a lot closer than SE Asia, which is the only basis I have for comparison in my early mongering career.
