The Peritos never asked about FMM. I've been stopped by cops 4 or 5 times over the years, including once by a Federal. No ask for an FMM. I don't know if the insurance policy requires one, but it seems that nobody really gives a shit.
I've been wanting to hit this place up but as soon as I got my passport the pandemic hit. I know they had the speakeasies but I also wanted the fun of a strip club. I've been to Tijuana a few times now but only stayed in my hotel (Ticuan). I'll be staying at Cascadas this time. My question is when I leave my room to chill in the club should I take my cash and other important belongings with me or is it safer to leave in the safe and only carry what I plan to spend at that time?

Cascada's rooms have a small safe in the closet. You can leave your valuables in it. But I had cash, lap top, phones in the room various times and never lost anything.
Have to give HK can Cascada credit for being straight up honest, hard working and offering excellent sexy entertainment for cheap. I know a few HK's floor managers. They make very little money and were only employed part time on call. CoVid really hurt them and their families. Show your empathy and share some of your wealth with the girls and workers in HK.
I will be in HK with 6 or 7 bros after 7 PM, 2 coming from out of state.
We will be celebrating our friendship, victory over CoVid and the grand reopening of putas bars.
I've stayed at Cascadas & Rizo 6 times so far, sometimes as long as 4 days and nobody has touched my stuff. I bought a slim magnetic wallet with a money clip, I carry an expired ID (in case it gets stolen), one credit card just in case, and my immediate cash, I don't usually carry more with me than $200-250. I can always go back to my room if needed. I keep the rest of my cash and valuables in a secret compartment in my backpack.
Some tips for Cascadas & Rizo: if you're staying more than 3 days, the VIP card is a decent deal, less than that and you'll have to do the math and make your own decision. Last time I was there Azul (restaurant) suspended the VIP discount during pandemic. Both hotels have quite a hike, so you're going to get use to stairs quickly. The elevators in Cascadas get busy at peak times, never had this problem at Rizo because of the layout. You will want to ask for extra towels & TP. Each time they are brought to your room the attendant will expect a tip. There is no way getting around the towel situation, but I usually just go to oxxo and get a pack of TP, better to have too much than none when you need it. And trust some girls will use an entire roll.

I do leave my money in the room however, I put it in a mini-safe inside the room safe. Look this one up on Amazon (the one I use):

NEVER do I walk around the club or Tijuana with a ton of cash on me. I only bring what I need for the night.
Are all the bars and clubs on the monger strip (Hong Kong, Adelitas, Tropical, La Gloria etc) open now? If so until what time? I am not talking about the speakeasy's.

On my 2nd trip after the Covid Lockdown someone tried to hustle me crossing the street to the pharmacy on the top of the hill from the Zona. He pretended to be a under cover cop with a real looking badge asking for fine for jaywalking. I kept walking hoping to find a real cop car as I knew he was faking it. He went away after following me to the alley street where all the girls work. That is the only heat I have ever felt inside the Zona Norte in years.
Also feel comfortable leaving things inside the Cascadas rooms. I got the feeling a lot of people leave more valuables in their rooms than I do in mine. Never had any problems with the things in my room.

I do not expect to have any issues and have not.
Of course, it delays room setup since you have to wait for someone to come reset the safe so that you can set your PIN.
Having the safe in the room enables me to walk around with only limited cash.
