Maybe some of the hotels that have bars attached to them (I. E. Clarkston) , but I don't know. What you can do, and I have done this, is negotiate with a hotel on having a fifty dollar food and bar limit added to your room fee. This way, you can select a hundred dollar room, have them bill you, and include this as part of your hotel costs. This would save money for other activities, or allow you to use any per diem for EWR.

Try Wild Orchid or Bourbon hotel they don't have EWR but are close to the Action (1 minute walk). Also its on Santos street next to the BJ bars short time is only 700 pesos.

I also like to point out that after all these years, the AC gogo bars are still like chimneys. Not only all Koreans smoke, the mamasans, waitresses, and gogo dancers resting, many of them also smoke. But keep in mind that there's thousands of girls working in AC. You may have to work a little harder, but I'm sure you'll find girls there who will satisfy your needs.

All of the girls will ask where you're from, tell them you're South American / Spanish (they won't have any idea where Guyana is, most don't even the geography of their own country, LOL). When I was there in Jan I noticed a group of about 10-12 "India" Indians staying at the Wild Orchid Inn (I was staying in the Bourbon St Condos and used the WOI pool / resto a few times) , I think they may have been part of a sports team. Although they were mostly intent on getting drunk and staying that way all day, I did see several of them with some very attractive bar girls in tow.

I would suggest that when you go into a bar you keep an eye out for girls that pay attention to you and not just for the purpose of getting you to buy lady's drinks. Also do a careful interview before you get too involved when you are hanging out with them in the bar. I mean to say, before you open your wallet too wide, make sure the girl is not on her mens (most common way for a girl to politely decline you) or a cherry girl. This is not to say you should not buy a girl a LD, but before I buy the second one I'd make sure she is interested and able to go with you.

Not that I really mind staying in some place a little less fancy, or that I was worried about trying to save a few bucks, its just spending so little on a room especially in a country we haven't sent people previously is a dangerous precedent to set, but I guess if that's what there is that's what there is. Now I just hope the holiday weekend doesn't effect the experience too much being my first visit.

Just like any bar / restaurant in the states if you have game and looks you could probably pick them up maybe even a little easier than in the states but they are not giving the illusion they are for takeout. Cuba Cuba does try to give you that impression the girls are available, but the girls are just there to run up your bar tab and rarely will they go with you, personally I would avoid this place.

It proved a good meeting place and a good place for me to hang out sometimes while I was waiting for my girls to get ready before going out. In addition, I ate there several times too. The food there is good and not too expensive. I chatted with several of the GRO's and waitresses. I also had the chance to observe them when customers came in and how they interacted with them.

Most of the time the girls never even approached customers, they would wait until they were called over and never did I see any pushy behavior or witness any of them aggressively asking for LD's. But I think many many mongers are going to end up like me walking away VERY VERY DISAPOINTED in Cuba Cuba, admittedly I'm 50ish over weight and unattractive and this may have had something to do with it. But I try to compensate by being very friendly and amiable. What sours me is if I wanted to be shot down because of my looks I could stay in the states and get that I don't need to travel to the other side of the planet to face rejection. If you have looks, game and youth then Cuba Cuba is probably the place for you (but if you have all of this there's no need to travel to the other side of the planet your probably doing pretty good at home). But if you are like me, the average monger you can probably write Cuba Cuba off, that is until the GRO end there prudishness and make themselves more accessible to the average monger like us. Until that happens the average monger is better off at other establishments.

Your chances of getting anything without it being stolen are about 50 percent in this country.
