However, next time in São Paulo, try going to Rubaiyat in Faria Lima, Pobre Juan or Corrientes 348 (both located in Miguel Calfat, opposite extreme) you will find the thick cut type steaks on those restaurants. There are other steak houses that offer those cuts as well in Jardins and Itaim Bibi.

If you are going to Brazil, the airport is not the best place to get a SIM card or exchange currency but these are not really big issues. I usually pay up for a ride at the airport that takes credit card or most likely I or a friend have a driver who will pick me up for XX dollars.

Once you are settled in at the hotel you don't really need Brazilian currency or a SIM card immediately. Plenty of restaurants and cafes take credit card. In a pinch, you can rely on your hotel to give you a better exchange rate than the airport or your local bank.

It's completely overrated, or I might've had too high of expectations. The Uber there cost about $20 REAL. Lunch combo (1 empanada, 2 oz mocaccino, and chocolate ice cream) cost $23 REAL. It was good, but not worth going out of the way for. It was a really light lunch and I wasn't full, but 10 minutes after finishing my meal, I was no longer hungry. I think this is how I should be eating. LOL.

I was craving pizza for dinner, but couldn't find any decent ones open close by. Just started walking around and ended up at Bar Roma. Got their Bife stroganoff. It was ok. None of the meals so far have impressed me much. Toro, O'Burder (by Samariding), Corrientes 348 (Nordico), and Miss Saigon are on the top of my restaurants list. If anyone knows a good pizza place close by, please let me know!

I was in the Jardin area after lunch so decided to check out a few clinicas and apartments. I have to say, this was more of a learning experience than anything else. Up til this point, I've only visited the clinicas near my hotel (Bourbon Convention).

First, I went to Casa 1 (Alameda Joaquim Eugnio de Lima, 1674, casa 1). I was there a little after 3 pm, but they only had 1 girl working: Julia. I suggested a couple of places earlier and for pizza maybe try Braz? It's nearby. I haven't been in a couple of years but the place was hopping and the pizza and chopp were always great. But there are so many great places for pizza. Also, there are some good restaurants in the basement level of Shopping Morumbi (the food court is very good but there are also sit down restaurants around the corner). Barbacoa is good. Also, upstairs in the mall is an argentine restaurant called Pobre Juan. It's very good as well. The mall should be 10 min or so from where you are by Uber.
