Quieter than the mainstream areas, but plenty of accomodation, maybe a bit cheaper than elsewhere, and plenty of food options (try upstairs in the dept store next to station). Good transport options with Yamonote line and a couple of subways.

MAke sure your hotel is not a "business hotel" because they often have rules about visitors.
