To answer your question, I do think the business will become more restrictive in the future. The government is under a lot of pressure to eliminate these businesses and so crackdowns are going to continue.

Some civic group even floated the idea of making sex reviews illegal. This would criminalize sites like opgani and the users who post on them. Of course, anonymity would make enforcement impossible, but the mere fact that people are proposing such ideas means that the pressure on the industry is almost certainly going to stay amped up.

However, I don't think there will be any additional restrictions on foreigners. It's already hard enough for us to make appointments and therefore I think it will simply remain as difficult an endeavor as it already is.

Going forward, the greatest difficulty will be faced by foreign tourists looking for some fun. Within the next few years the last of the RLDs will be bulldozed for redevelopment and once they're gone guys without knowledge of the local scene will have their access to services severely diminished.

Thanks for sharing your experience at HotPlace. I've had the same experience at other Hyugetel. It's an awful waste of time to be rejected like that. It was particularly interesting to read that the manager met up with you to share a drink. I guess he must have been able to speak English fairly well?

Just the other week I got the OK to make an appointment at new Hyugetel in Nohyeon, after which the manager ghosted me for 4 hours before replying that "none of the available women are willing to work with a foreigner today. Call back when the lineup changes. ".

I also noticed that a large number of OPs changed their names and phone numbers around then. I was told by her that the people that run the OPs met up and decided to change their names and numbers.

I can also confirm that there were a few VVIPs that I've used that suddenly went dead. For people that use VVIPs, be extremely careful around the Gangnam area right now. They are looking for people that go into hotels / motels alone. They are basically staking out some spots and will approach you when you leave and pressure you into admitting that you committed prostitution.

For foreigners that get caught and are just visiting Korea, it's probably not going to be a huge deal because you will just leave Korea anyway. The main impact I can see it having would be delaying when you can leave since you'll have to deal with the legal fallout. However, for foreign residents of Korea if you get caught and get fined over 3 million KRW, you face the possibility of deportation.

Have a 12 hour (6 am to 6 pm) layover in Seoul and booked a hotel at Incheon Airtel by the airport. Any recommendation to find something that will be open to foreigners? I read some reports about Hyugetels in Dongdaemun, Gangnam. Can someone please share names of these places?

Decided to randomly hit up the Opgani listings to try my luck again. Found a place that would accept me after reaching out in Korean via text. Yeoksamdong Premium Healing Hyugetel.

Wanted to splurge, so I booked an "Emperor" Course which was 240 min / Unlimited shots with options enabled with the Manager I end up with. Got the hotel address, showed up, got a room number. Met Sujin at the door. Girl-next-door type, early 20's, nice curves where they mattered. She was nice and spoke some English which facilitated the meeting, I also had to kind of play down / make her feel safe about having an "American" package. She offered me some water and we made our way to the shower. She was gentle at cleaning and provided a GFE in the shower with some kissing. Anyone know if Tiffany's is running and safe for caucasian foreigners?

I spent the last to weeks in Seoul didn't get the opportunity to play. Ate in several different neighborhood where signs indicated services was available especially around universities. I was traveling with wife and friends and at karaoke I asked for a girl and the manager ask me what I like but all the wives shut that down. I think there is fun to be had if you have the time and opportunity to play.
