Sorry to move away from all the "game" being taught on this board, but I'm actually looking for some useful information.
First, I have a reservation at Casa Linda. I deposited the first night charge in a bank account as advised by Joanna. It was hard as hell to even make the reservation, but she never responded when I asked for a confirmation email. I only tried that one time to get a confirmation email. However, she assured me everything is cool. Should I be concerned or should I sweat her about it. I'm curious to know some of your experiences booking those Villas.
FYI, prices for flights are in fucking sane! I tried all the tricks (LOL) that I know and can't get a lower cost. It is cheaper to fly into Santiago, but the hassle is not worth the savings and I don't want to return home at 3 am. Who made that dumbass schedule? I'm trying to wait for prices to drop, but they are not budging. I'm getting worried because I arrive the first of August.
I'm crying in my milk because it is $200 more than I paid near Christmas. Doesn't make sense.

Doesn't make sense.[/QUOTE]U don't have 2 worry about it I stayedatcasa linda last April I didn't even put a down payment on my reservation they hold the villa 4 me if you go back on the casa linda web site the villa that you pick you'll see it on availlable thats mean you already book it the good thang about casa linda the villa is really beautiful in its really safe the security guard don't play I have some video of the villa that I stayatgo on youtube search jarmondy3 you'll see it other thing becareful when you stay there because if you lost a towel or brake a glasses you'll be charge $50 for each.
Airfares to vacation places cost more in the low season and hotels cost less, high season it's the opposite, kind of evens out in the end. WestJet actually stops doing a lot of their nonstop runs to places like Jamaica etc during the summer, no one wants to trade 25 degree weather for 40 degrees.
THE BUS IS LIKE 7 DOLLARS AND VERY COMFORTABLE 4 hrs. Theres is the cab to consider. Iam paying 380 round trip for flight.

Doesn't make sense.[/QUOTE]Can't wait till the Punta Cana to Nagua road is complete, it should give us more and maybe cheaper options as far as airports to fly into and schedules, Spirit flys in there around noon even with a 3 or 4 hour bus ride it wouldn't be too bad.

Soon all the school vacations start, and the airlines get fat. Reminds me of the the African river where the crocs wait for the wilderbests to cross the river. I think carriers like Spirit could teach some tricks to the crocs.
As far as fuel cost the price of oil has dropped a lot lately, but the gas stations, and the airlines are keeping the tariff just like it was over $100 a barrel. Last I looked oil was trading at $93.

What's up all. I have read many of the outstanding reports and gathered a LOT of great info regarding Sosua. And I thank you guys for that. Our trip to Sosua is JUN 28-JUL 2. My question is, which location is closer to the action (classicos, rumba, el flow, etc.) New Garden or Casa Linda? I found both on google maps but can't find Classicos to get a reference. Thanks for your help and I'll definitely add to the pot once we return.

Hotel El Rancho is a quite easy walk to the strip yet on its own quiet dead end street (much less noise at night) with an awesome beach 200 yards walk from your door. Classicos is the top floor disco right above 'Club 59" on the strip. Don't go upstairs. Complete waste of time and money. Just hit the ground floor bars on the strip. El Rancho will cost $40-$50 per night. Excellent door security at night, behind their own iron gate. The skanks must have a valid "cedula" or national identity card or they will not be allowed in. You must walk her out after and tell the guard to give her back her I'd. El Rancho's kitchen is being renovated so just grab breakfast at Baily's restaraunt right around the corner. Can't miss it. Enjoy

For my money that place, and of course Passions is the draw for me to go to this beach monger heaven.

Thanks again.[/QUOTE]Classicos, Runba, el flow and all the other the bars are on Pedro Clisante between Daurte and Dr Rosen. Actually closer to Rosen. The New Garden and Terra Linda are chica friendly hotels on Rosen just around the corner from the bars. Casa Linda are villas and townhouse on the out skirts of town. Don't think you would want to walk to the action from Casa Linda.

Enjoyed my stay at Terra Linda, which happens to be a stones throw away from the strip (literally a 30 second walk to El Flow). The two nights I went to Classicos definitely wouldn't qualify as a complete waste of time and money.
