UTP is a small airport, if you are taking afternoon flight from KL make sure you run towards immigration because there are only 3 windows working and in afternoon 4 flights come at the same time.

2. from UTP to Pattaya it takes another one hour and there are buses and taxi available.

3. convert MYR at TT exchange shops in Pattaya, they give the best rates 8. 25.

4. carry cash if possible because international banks ATM are not in numbers in Pattaya and other local will give less exchange rates as well as 200 baht as transaction fee.

5. better go Bangkok and reach Pattaya by noon so that the tiring UTP airport queues are avoided.

Meter was on, even if I was not going to pay as the company would have been billed.

On arrival the meter showed 83 ringitt.

Another time in BKK I booked a taxi Togo and see a floating market. Was quoted 1500 baht, two ways. We went, meter was on. I was worried as I could have not dispute the meter and worried about the waiting time there as the length of the stay st the smelt was uncertain. Arrived at the market, browsed around for nearly two hours. The taxi waited at a stand. Called him when ready to leave, drove back, dropped us at the hotel and the meter was showing 1485. All included.

I took a private driver from KLIA recommended by a friend and arranged via whatsapp. 80 rinnget to Bukit bintang and 85 ringget back to KLIA2. Prob an extra 5-10 ringget compared to a metered taxi. On Bukit Bintang there are cabs just parked on the kerb and the Malay / Indian (not sure) drivers asking for 50 ringett. I waved down a metered taxi and the total fare to mid-valley was 29 including toll charges.

Ok. A newbie's summary of a first time trip to KL.

(For me) quality and range of girls better than Thailand (Bang, Phuket, Pattaya), Bali, Sing & Viet. That's my experiences so far.

Beach Club. Def best venue. Thai Club. Too dark, a bit aggressive, but might go again but be prepared to negotiate hard.

Spa's. OK for quickie but too rushed for me, yeah big line up, but a little impersonal, but then I only tried one spa, and hit & miss for GFE which is paramount for me.

Street action. Pretty poor, was hard for me to identify working girls. Too much hassle.

Get to Beach Club 10.30 - a few drinks for me and then close to 11.30/12 pm better negotiation. Earlier OK but this time worked best for me.

Drink for girls is a rip off. Not sure but do they really cost 50 myr? (experienced posters please comment) Last time. Drink for me only. Didn't affect negotiations.
