I'm planning a 1st time trip to Brazil next November. Guess theres many 'experts' here so I'm askin for some useful tips. & which are the hottest places for girls, fun, mongering etc. I been to Thailand 6 times, now so I'm looking for sumting different.

I'Ve been planning my trip to Brazil for quite some time and I believe that I would finally make it in October. I would first like to thank everyone that posted information ranging from prices, best practices, places to stay, etc. Your information is priceless.
As most of us have seen many incredible women from Brazil in a lot of porn videos. Many of the reports I have read here are stretching back a couple years. Thanks to Bubba Boy for his awesome guide. I assume things change year after year - I was wondering how Brazil fares with regard to prices for mongering?
I enjoyed Thailand for both the prices and the quality of girls (+ ease of access) - how does Brazil compare in these departments? (mainly price)

Hi Jason. Tried to PM you as answers might be too long for quick replies on here. But your PMs are switched off. Brasil economy is strong just now. Bubba's guide won't be that far out on prices but check your conversion rates. Pussy from 10Reals to maybe 400Reals. But RJ is not the homogeneous user-friendly tourist destination like BKK. You probably have to accelerate into the fast lane to enjoy it and it costs more the less you know it.

I am currentl doing an upgrade on my guide, mainly because the prices are raisen so much. Probably need to tack on 30% on the prices that I put in my last update!
Just a quick question for those of you who live in Brazil or who have travelled there many times. Are Mastercard credit cards widely accepted in Brazil? My bank uses VISA but is switching to Mastercard, I've used VISA in Brazil without any problems. Since I have never looked for the MC logo when travelling, I can't remember if it is as widely accepted in South America. I am assuming the answer is yes .. but I would be grateful for any comments. Obrigado!
Generally wherever you can use visa you can use mastercard too: shops, restaurants, atm's, etc.

Looking at comments on high end places, I think you're right! I generally have a 'past caring' attitude on the occasions I go to 4x4 - even if I don't tip or pay the front desk 'mistakes.' I've felt this year sometimes that the low end (my usual stomping ground) is struggling to get prices up in line with everywhere else, but 10R shots are still obtainable in Centro; and only a few VM bars have tried to push their prices. But I think you're right on general living standards too. Supermarkets were fractionally more, my gym haggled for longer, and places I've previously shopped for goods are too much. But until Bubba's update comes out, the most recent one is still a good rule of thumb for comparative prices - you can always go through a text version and make your own updates (or use common sense that things have gone up a bit!) Then print out the bits you need.
