Is the WHTI-compliant document eaiser/cheaper?
Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative
Areas that fall under the WHTI:
Canada
Mexico
Bermuda
The Caribbean region (includes 17 regions)
AIR TRAVEL
Implemented on January 23, 2007, ALL PERSONS traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean region are required to present a passport or other valid travel document to enter or re-enter the United States.
LAND AND SEA TRAVEL
The following summarizes information available on the Department of Homeland Security’s website.
JANUARY 31, 2008
U.S. and Canadian citizens will need to present either a WHTI-compliant document, or a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, plus proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate. DHS also proposes to begin alternative procedures for U.S. and Canadian children at that time.
SUMMER 2008
At a later date, to be determined, the departments will implement the full requirements of the land and sea phase of WHTI. The proposed rules require most U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry to have either a U.S. passport; a U.S. passport card; a trusted traveler card such as NEXUS, FAST, or SENTRI; a valid Merchant Mariner Document (MMD) when traveling in conjunction with official maritime business; or a valid U.S. Military identification card when traveling on official orders.
The implementation date will be determined based on a number of factors, including the progress of actions undertaken by the Department of Homeland Security to implement the WHTI requirements and the availability of WHTI compliant documents on both sides of the border. DHS and DOS expect the date of full WHTI implementation to be in the summer of 2008. The precise implementation date will be formally announced with at least 60 days notice.
Note: The passport requirement does NOT apply to U.S. citizens traveling to or returning directly from a U.S. territory.
U.S. PASSPORT AND OTHER TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
U.S. Passport: U.S. citizens may present a valid U.S. passport when traveling via air, land or sea between the U.S. and the aforementioned Western Hemisphere countries.
The Passport Card: This limited-use, wallet-size passport card is not yet available and is under development. When available it will only be valid for land and sea travel between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean region (includes Bermuda).
Other Accepted Travel Documents: SENTRI, NEXUS, FAST and the U.S. Coast Guard Mariner Document. Members of the U.S. Armed Forces on active duty traveling on orders are exempt from the passport requirement. DHS has more information on these travel documents. This information may be seen at www.dhs.gov.
ABOUT WHTI
The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative is a result of the Intelligence Reform and Prevention Act of 2004 (IRTPA), requiring all travelers to present a passport or other document that denotes identity and citizenship when entering the U.S.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on February 22 its intent to propose, as part of the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI), significant flexibility regarding travel documents required for U.S. and Canadian children as part of WHTI requirements for U.S. land and sea border entry in 2008.
The goal of the initiative is to strengthen U.S. border security while facilitating entry for U.S. citizens and legitimate foreign visitors by providing standardized documentation that enables the Department of Homeland Security to quickly and reliably identify a traveler.
I have been to Tijuana before (usually in the summer, but once before over New Years) and may try to make a short trip just before Christmas. I will have three days/nights to socialize with the ladies. I understand that many will be going home for the holidays. What will Christmas Eve day/night be like in the bars/with the steet girls. How will it compare to New Years Eve?
It will be slow, very slow compared to New Years.
Remember that Christmas in Mexico is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, and a time for family as opposed to the USA where it is a celebration of a reduction in retail prices in places like Walmart. The seemingly unbearable social pressure of spending big bucks for things you don't need to impress people you probably don't even like comes into play as well.
New years is party time in Mexico as well as the USA. Problem being that the girls won't be back in time. You'll have more locals to choose from which is not at all a bad deal.

Xmas and New Years
Yup the pickens get a little slim, but remember as cj has said there are still locals around and some if not all need the extra cash, quality can still be had anywhere just have to look. I have been going to tj for at least the early 60's when I was a kid and went when i was a teen it still is he same just have to look.
New years is a blast, but as cj has said some of the senoritas are not back yet, hook up with a fellow monger and enjoy.
Happy hunting and enjoy. ( But always be carefull)

How slow will XMAS day in the afternoon or night be? Is it even worth it? I'll already be in San Diego for work, so would the trip down to the zone be worth it?

The Zona is like a box of chocolates.
You'll do better in TJ than in San Diego. Maybe you should consider using a service in TJ. A few have some outstanding girls.

Don't waste your time on Revo. They are clip joints. Probably good for little more than a laugh unless you got bucks to waste. The action is in the Zona. Have a nice (and safe) trip.

Map of ZN

Is this map of ZN still valid in terms of clubs? Can you really get to HK by going through Las Chevales?
PS. I'm not sure where I found this map but I know it's older. I want to give credit to whoever made it, I just don't know who. Also, sorry that it's a link but it's too big to upload to ISG.

This map is very dated.
There are still clubs in all of these locations, but some of the names have changed.
You can't go between Las Chavelas and Hong Kong, maybe staff can. Same thing for Adelitas and Valentina. Perhaps staff can cross through the back rooms (same owner), but certainly not open to the public.

CJ is right. Most of the "veterans" who know their way in and around Tijuana usually stay the hell away from Avenida Revelucion. That place is where touristas who don't know any better go to get ripped off.

I dont consider myself a veteran but I defentely know my way around TJ. The ZN is still my favorite place but I don't spend too much time in the bars like AB anymore since it became such a hardcore place than before. Actually I've had pretty good luck getting hooked up with strippers from those strip joints on Revo and I don't usually spend too much money on them either. So wish me a good luck again. :-)

I hear you on AB. I remember that place before they got all "modernized" and shit. It had a certain gritty appeal to it, but this was waaay back in the day when the CC girls charged more than AB and AB was a pretty good deal. Hell, AB didn't even have the "Fuck Factory" feel to it like it does these days, and scoring a GFE was a lot easier.
Glad to hear you're scoring on Revolucion (I've been able to do that a couple of times myself back in the day :)) but remember; for every story like yours and mine there are 200 other customers getting set up and ripped off in those Avenida Revolucion clip joints. Next time you take a stroll down that street just duck into San Souci, Peanuts or one of the other bars for a beer and watch the clientelle. You'll see exactly why I'd never take a noob down that way (except for the sole purpose of showing him what not to do).

Ahh cool, if you know your stuff then no need for me to tell you. I was not certain if you knew the "lay of the land" so to speak.
AB is a fuck store, much like Walmart. It's not what it used to be. Not by a long shot. The reason? Sex sells. It always did and it always will.
Be safe and be dry. It's raining like crazy here.

What strip clubs are good on Revo ave?
What strip clubs are good on Revo ave?
None, unless you like really expensive lady drinks, being constantly hustled for private dances, having a large mama-san twisting your arm to pay top dollar to your lady for a BJ, FS, or the like, in a really ratty "room" upstairs. Of course, if this is your thing, then they're all pretty good.
:-)
Actually, I've seen some pretty chicas at Peanuts and Beer. Avoid Bambis, unless you like TVs. Beverly Hills will hustle the sh*t out of you for drinks, dances, etc., etc. The one across from the Jai Alai fronton (can't remember the name) reminded me of the dog pound. The last time I went into Cesar's the chicas all looked like crack hos. Been to a couple of others, but can't remember the names. But the talent really doesn't compare to La Zona.
