When visiting Pattaya we would go to Lucifer and Mixx at night and take chicks back to the Sunshine or Eastiny Hotels on Soi 8 and they would stay with us until late afternoon the next day. 1000 baht. Rinse and repeat. My first time going to Soi 6 was when board member PanaNYC (rest in peace) told me to meet him down at Red Point on Soi 6. Before that I did not even know it existed. That was only about 15 year ago though.

I can put it as there and going strong (pre NightWish format) in April 2016, so 7 years ago.
Anyone can date its emergence better between 7 and 15 years?
My first memories were when I spent a wet and somewhat hilarious Songkran week there.
Those were the days when guys would buy a water tanker load and drive down the soi in the afternoon blasting the contents halfway into the bars.
The bar owners / managers accepted it, the girls loved it, but many a sad punter hated it.
As to me for the first few days I laughed at it, after that I changed plan, and stayed away until dry time around 6 pm each night.

But back in the early 2000's I was a regular visitor from my home in Bangkok. So over 20 years ago now. Back then Soi 6 was a well known Soi where action could be had in the many bars that lined the Soi. It was all very relaxed, fun with no pressure. The main difference then was that the bars were all with closed fronts, not open to the street like now, so all the fun and action took place behind closed doors so to speak. It sounds like the bars back then were more like the Gentleman's Clubs of today. You could have a drink at the bar, enjoy the company of the girls inside, or go upstairs to the short time rooms. All the bars then had short time rooms available upstairs. I can't remember prices, it was too long ago, but it was certainly a cheap option for some afternoon / evening entertainment. I have no idea when all the bars became open to the street and started focusing on selling drinks but it was certainly after the early 2000's.

I tend to try and play as a single and like to start early so that I do not use up a whole day on the course. They will give you a quote for the entire cost, except caddy tips. Includes transportation to and from the course, greens fees, cart fees, caddy fees, and all taxes and service charges. I have found them to be responsive and fair. You can go to a number of bars that organiize golf trips on a weekly basis or sometimes more often. The down side is that you will be part of a large group and paired randomly and the bus goes and comes back to the bar based on when everyone is finished. The cost is a LOT less for certain. I have also used Golf Asian and been happy but they seem to concentrate on a wider area but similar service.
