Have been mongering for half a decade now but yesterday s incident was an experience of a sort. Pinged my known SP and he asks me to come to a hotel. Waited in the reception lobby for a while and it became almost ever as it seemed that the chick had gone out . Blasted the SP as I had waited almost an hour and half, then finally could see the girl arrive. The SP asks me to go to the particular room number after a few minutes. I followed his instructions and reach the lobby of the room to find the girl trying to open the door. The smart card lock didnt seem to work. I told the girl that I will go down and wait at the reception while she sorts out the issue but the girl insists "stay with me and if you go down again and come the reception guys may get suspicious".I was really ignorant to agree to it and kind of waited some 10 meters away from the room pretending to talk over the phone. One of the hotel staff arrives and the door still can't be opened so he calls one more senior staff who manages to unlock the door but he questions me " sir, which room do you belong to?" I was kind of pretending that I was engaged in the conversation over the phone and was thinking of a suitable reply like say I'm waiting for the lift I got down since the signal was bad inside the lift as I was heading to the bar. Suddenly the girl interrupted from mowhere and told the hotel staff that I'm her friend and have come to her room. The hotel staff gives a stern reply saying that its a single occupancy room and she can't take me in. I then told him ok I will leave then to avoid any more problems. Again the girl plays the spolisport by telling them that the reception guys gave permission and the manager knows it etc which was of course a blant lie. The hotel staff gives a rude stare at me and leaves with other guy, by this time the cleaning women were also noticing us from the other end of the lobby. The girl then asks me to get in and I get in and tell her that I'm leaving immediately and I m not keen to get myself into trouble. Again the girl rudely insists that we can give some money to the manager if he comes and knocks the door. I give a shit to what she said and I told her I'm not risking anything. She finally concedes and asks me to call the SP, inform him and leave, so I call the SP and explain the situation and he s like sir better leave to avoid any problems. She then gets the mobile and talks too and I was above to leave after getting my mobile from her ,when the room phone rings, she picks up and tries to convince the reception guys but in vain, and then she herself signals me to leave.
Now comes the awkward part, I was kind of worried what will these people ask if I return back to the reception on my way out. Luckily I waited and peeped through one window to see another way out. I just explored the lobby further than taking the same way from which i came in and there was a emergency exit staircase, I blindly took it and luckily it led to the parking zone where I had parked my vehicle, I just took my bike and zoomed out. Felt relieved that I could bypass the reception without facing the ire of the hotel staff who would have been certainly waiting to confront me as the girl was behaving rude, I could see the anger on the face of the hotel staff while they left . Probably they would have wondered how come i never came to the reception.. Probably they might have looked out of for me in the bar or again might have checked in the girl s room but who cares what they did...Luckily had a narrow escape and certainly it was a kind of different mongering experience!!
