As for beer-bars, well, as I said in my diary I'm certainly not an expert. I've had limited experience of beer-bars before this trip so I'm probably not the person to ask. My friends Macca and Owen visit them regularly though and I seem to remember that they mentioned a bar-fine of 300 or 400, I can't quite remember now. I bar-fined a girl from a beer-bar near the end of Drinking Street called Lisa Bar. Lovely looking girl, perhaps the girl of my trip, and the bar-fine was 500.

Must see places are Walking Street and Soi 6, I would say. LK Metro is also a fun place.

On Soi 6 there are a number of bars run by fellow mongers that will be more than willing to advice you or guests there you can join up with if you feel you need wingmen.

What is your native language? Perhaps I know someone who speaks it there?

If you like massage parlours, there are plenty to choose from. If you want a threesome, go to Devil's Den. It's pricy but worth it. Dream Teen seems to offer the best service but Sabai Dee, Honey and Honey 2 offer soapies and have some nice girls. I'd recommend these places for afternoon action.

As for gogo bars, Walking Street has many to choose from and there is a concentration on Soi LK Metro too. My top five are: Heaven's Above, The Office, Happy Gogo, Baccara and Glasshouse but I just recommend visiting lots and seeing for yourself.

Incidentally, I posted a large diary on this forum with my experiences in all of the gogo bars and massage parlours I went to. I talked about prices / locations so it might be useful for you to read.

I do speak English, it's just that I felt the need to emphasize that it wasn't my native language as my writing is not perfect and I can make some orthographic mistakes, I'm French though.

Anyway, thanks for your advices, I'll check those places, I'm not really concern about being alone (cause I'm planning to be as much accompanied as possible.) but it's just more fun to have a drink with someone in the same Pattaya "mood" and so forth. I guess I'll find people to share drinks with during my trip (even in the low season).

Quick question, are girls usually pushy for lady drinks? Cause If I'm drinking alone in a beerbar / gogo, I guess more girls will come and speak to me to get some, what's your usual "move' to politely decline / make her understand that you're not interested? (rookie question)

I've read your large diary before and I've made some notes about it, will try some of them. Your posts are always comprehensive and detailed, it's a real pleasure reading you.

Heard of Baccara, Devils Den and Glasshouse, will definitely check them out.

I haven't been detailed about what I'm looking for but basically pretty much everything, planning to do STs during days and LT (or ST if LT is hard) for the nights. I've also heard of Windmill which seems interesting but can be a bit awkward for non-regular.

I think I'm more a quick action kind of guy, I mean, as being alone, I don't see myself spending too much time staying at street open beer bar sipping beers while watching girls. I guess I'll be more a gogobar customer, getting in, having a drink, looking for pretty girls that doesn't seem shy or too pushy and go ST or LT (depending on the hour and if she's willing to).

Weather you bring along an unlocked gsm one or even buy a most basic phone there in many of the small shops around (as little as about 600B). The ability to met these girls is endless BUT understand the mentality of these thais is that there is no such thing as a real meeting time. You will be giving up standing / waiting in a hurry otherwise.

This is handy when you're in a loud bar and you need to text your mates (who are probably in another loud bar). Or when you've got your hands all over some hottie and you don't want to take a voice call. Also lots of the girls are more comfortable sending text messages than talking on the phone as it helps a little with the language barrier.

You can buy unlocked GSM cell phones on the Bay of E before you go. Older models are almost as cheap as they are in Thailand. You can buy a SIM card the same way. The advantage to buying the SIM card in advance is that you'll know your phone number before you start your trip. This is useful if you can't find your driver at the airport. (Although those people are masters at somehow finding you, even in the absence of real time communication.) And you can give your friends back home the number so they can reach you when you're on holiday. (If, in fact, you actually *want* them to reach you.)

If you can wait until you get to Thailand to buy your cell phone I recommend the MBK Center in Bangkok, where they have every conceivable cell phone for sale, plus SIM cards and airtime. You can even get vanity cell phone numbers if you think certain digits bring good luck. They can also unlock or jailbreak just about any phone ever made. In Pattaya the Tukcom Center has a good selection of cell phone stuff as well.

spent 4 days in pattaya, nothing memorable. place was a bit quiet now, not so many customers for all girls. also rained most of the time and ws was flooded to your ankles at some places. first went to some agogos, heaven above in ws was bf 600 and surprisingly rhe girl only asked 1000 for st but session ended right away after her little cowgirl action we found out the sheet was covered with blood, what an ameteur thing it was that she worked during that time. she rubbed the sheets a bit cleaner and left, i guess i didn't have to pay her but gave her 300 don't ask me why. she was in. panic too and embarrassed, probably really a new gir working. then got more drunk and went for a beer bar girl, a bit chubby but nice, worth 1000 lt plus 300 bf. i think the bar was t bar or tj bar on soi 7. on other days i was too drunk too, went to fahrenheit agogo and bf 600 and a nice girl who was working outside as a hostess and didn't dance wanted only 2k long because she said she liked me. 24yo nice looking but had a baby and body had big stretching marks so maybe didn't dance and show that for that reason. not good experience. fucked her only at night once. another session was 3am too drunk again played games in a bar with a girl who turned out to be lb so left "her" and slim pickings at 3am and another 1k lt for a chubby bargirl, old 37 not too pretty but was feeling horny and a pussy is a pussy. did her another time in the morning, then headed to bkk. pattaya disappointment, maybe my tactics were wrong, you shouldn't drink too long and you could get quality out of a agogo early, but i just don't like to call it a night after 10-11pm. want to see more bars and girls and then suddenly all the decent girls are taken already. and low season, maybe the lookers are in their farms. found one cute girl in a beer bar but lost her to another rude guy who just bought her drinks when we were playing pool. i saw some lookers dancing as pairs of girls dancing in some clubs or discos in ws they looked freelancers, i guess if want a looker those i should have tried but im bad picking them up and they looked choosy and some guys trying them many times so should compete too. last night rode a motocycle taxi and almost hit a food cart at full speed but driver manouvered us safe at the last second so i should be happy, things could be a lot worse.
