But the price easily go down to normal if you counter offer them the real price. I am sure this place has same pricing as old Kalijodo, because it is for locals. I think he did not counter quote the real price. The extra profit does not go to girl, it goes to the shop owner. So it is better to counter offer the standard price, and give tip directly to the girl.

If you speak some Bahasa nobody will quote you 400 k or stupid price like that.

400 k for a local price is just ridiculous. Locals will never pay that. Foreigners who pay that price in a local brothel don't know anything about Jakarta.

Foreigners who pay that price in a local brothel don't know anything about Jakarta.[/QUOTE]I second this I started going to Kalijodo the last 2 yrs before it was torn down and admittedly whilst I don't speak Bahasa I do get away looking like a local and I used go there by Angkot and I would spend 5-6 hours exploring and taking 3-4 girls each day over a 7 day period, but I never had to bargain I always paid 150 k and my choices were for slim type girls so maybe if I went for older girls I would be quoted less, but I was never quoted 400 k in the 30-40 interactions.

Since Kalijodo is done - Kaput - there is no point to say how much anyone paid in the past, but guide the readers where and at which price point the similar experience can be received today. Also, in perspective, you have to put a price on taxi and most of all on time in traffic. How much is your time worth?

The going rate for free lancers from Tambora was 150 to 200 k before it burned down.

Visited Jakarta for the first time this weekend. Thanks to a lot of excellent information on this forum to help me prepare for the trip. I was a bit worried given how close my trip was to start of Ramadan, but it worked out quite well. I used an Indonesian dating site, Badoo and WeChat. Got lots of hits, many more than I had time for. I usually met the women at a nearby mall and made sure there was chemistry before going back to my hotel. The young women were very happy to meet an older man and didn't hesitate to spend a lot of time together. Here are the places I visited:

CJs: on Saturday night between 12-2 am and got a nice take-out. The music was good, lots of good talent. Danced with a few and picked a 20 something girl late in the night for excellent ST service. She works in a mall during the week.

Basque. Early weekend evening (9 pm onwards). Very crowded, with a good mix of locals and expats. It is not clear who is available because most were in groups, but I got many inviting looks. I went with a prearranged date, had a good dinner followed by dancing and back to hotel.

Henshin. Bar top of Westin hotel, the tallest building in Jakarta, a big hit with girls. Excellent Japanese-Peruvian food and nice outdoor bar. I met a pre-arranged date for dinner and drinks followed by a trip to hotel.

I didn't have time to go to Malio, Travel, Classic. Mainly because I stayed in Mega Kuningam and there was plenty to do locally. It was easy to ask girls to take a taxi to this area. Also visited a couple of nearby malls with for batik and local handicrafts. Ideally, one should visit Jakarta for a day and arrange the right company to visit Bali.
