After many months I decided to check for new gals in OT.

Hadn't been there for a while as the last few times the service was TERRIBLE. Girl put on tv despite my asking not to, lost attention for massage when there was an interesting moment in the soap she was watching while massaging me.
Another girl simply had no strength at all. She said it was because she didn't have dinner yet (then why work?). Another girl asked for tip even before starting...

Of course one doesn't go there for normal massage skills, these are totally absent. So, with service being so lousy and the place being totally worn out, why still go there? Well, in the far past I did meet some nicer girls who provided full service, and if you want the HJ it's one of the few places where you can pick a girl behind glass. In normal massage places you can often pick a girl too, but it's less appreciated, and then those girls are often not pretty at all. In OT, now and then I saw a pretty one.

Anyway, so this week went again. Picked a new girl, hoping for a better experience. In vain: the girl asked for a big tip in advance, she didn't greet me (very impolite), and the massage was of course nothing. Her attitude was totally wrong with bad service, so when she offered the HJ for a standard THB 500 or full service for 2000, I made clear that I could go next door to Sayuri and have it all for less (at much better service).

I think this place is simply not worth it, there is no reason to go back. New girls quickly get rotten in their mind after talking to the old girls, so the service and attitude are simply terrible.

It takes a while to find pretty women in town for a sensual massage, but there are, and the service you can get then is much much better.

Hopes are gone for an Akane-style fashion massage (Bangkok, Sukhumvit 33) in Chiang Mai: after several months of waiting, the shop was sold or rented out to yet another spa beauty center, as if we didn't already have enough of these.

I suspect the Thai who planned to run Anzu at Changklan Road wanted to offer massage plus services on an explicit menu, like a balls massage is explicitly offered in Bangkok, but Chiang Mai's authorities didn't give the permission.

Typical Thai to first renovate the place, put up a nice poster, and then find out that no license will be given.

Anyway, a pity and a great miss for Chiang Mai it is.

I'm going to be visiting Chiang Mai for one month starting end of September, before I head to Patong for two months. Can anyone recommend a decent & fairly inexpressive place to stay. I've never been before so I don't know the area that well. I'm looking for a place near main traffic area of bars & restaurants. Something with wifi and girlfriendly a plus.

Hotel - go Raming Lodge or Centara Duangtawan Hotel -- can't go wrong with those. Once you're there, I would look for the right condo that suits your needs and preferred location.

Can highly recommrend the Raming Lodge. In the middle of the action.. Quiet and very clean. Nice helpful people working there. I stayedthere last Jan. Great restaurant for italian just a few places down the street.

Any updates on Chiang Mai guys? Or is this thread officially dead?

Here's my 2 cents:

MP Update
Pandora: 1,800 ...slightly on the high side

Sayuri: Still the bread and butter of MP's for Chiang Mai. I was in there the other day at 3:30PM...I was still surprised at how many local Thai's patron this place...standing space only. At that time, there were more customers than girls. This is the best priced at 1,000 baht, but the rooms are a bit "dungeon like" -- kind of dark inside the room

Ping Payom: Still my favorite, nice looking young girls, but pricey. The good looking ones are 2,000 baht (on the right). However, the other day I walked in and was quoted 2,500 baht -- not sure if the price has officially risen, or if I just looked extra "touristy" that day.

Chiang Mai Hill Hotel: Very good deal, with several young ones (lots of older ones). 1,500 baht for the younger ones.

Phucome: Never was too impressed with this place, the girls seem to be very unhappy and only semi-attractive...priced on the higher side too.

OT Massage: This place is a real dump, with lots of Dengue mosquitos. The linens are pretty nasty too. However, the girl selection is pretty good. I just fucked a busty young girl, but she ripped me 1,500 baht (not including the 500 baht fee for the massage and room).

Grand Classic: Not a bad place, I was able to fuck a 19 year old with firm breasts and great attitude: ST 1,000 baht including room. Open late.

Nancy Massage: Has this place re-opened?

Any advice on how to contact uni girls re help with fees in exchange for favours. Anyone know what costs would be. Am relocating to Chiang Mai for a year and would love to have a student as a companion. Could possibly help with her accommodation or similar.

A couple of years ago, I met a very nice 18 year old girl, working in an internet shop. She was just graduating from High school and studied biology at Chiang Mai University after that. I asked her to give me Thai lessons, which she really did, with little success. Gradually I became her sponsor and "boyfriend", but she would never stay overnight. There was always one or all of her family around. We were almost never alone, no sex! Similar experiences I had with a another pretty local student of Payap University. I met her in a really serious Traditional massage shop, where she was working as kind of a receptionist at very low wages. If you are so keen on a student girl friend, better ask the girl first, if she stays with her family in Chiang Mai. Maybe it is easier, if her family lives somewhere else. Later on I decided, that I really did not know, what to do with only one girl friend every day and all day long, so I gave up looking. I found out, that some of the young girls, working in the TM places, want to have a farang bf (age does not matter), especially during low season. Most of them speak English well enough and almost always they come from other provinces, as Isaan. Formally they may not be as well educated as the students, but I haven't noticed so much difference. One really cute young girl offered to live with me, instead of doing Thai massage in the shop. She would (only) need 500 THB per day, because she had to support her sick father, who lived near Bangkok (he was younger than me, but worn out from doing construction work all life long). Everything happened some years ago, but I do not believe that much has changed since then, except that quite a few girls in the formerly serious massage places nowadays make a little extra money with the HJ-business, so they may not need a regular sponsor any more.

Thanks in advance.[/QUOTE]Raming Lodge is a good suggestion, it is right in the center of all the action. Lai Thai guest house is also not bad and a little cheaper at 650baht a night. It is not far from the action (5 minute walk) and they will pick you up at the airport for free. A car from the airport is only 120baht though so it is not the deal of the century. From there you can look around and find something you like for a month. Lots of places advertising low prices (400baht) but not all are near the main bar area. There are fan rooms around the bars for a few hundred baht a night.

You could also try some Thai dating websites. I know a few uni girls here, and no offense but they would have nothing to do with you (or me) in the way that you are thinking.

Accommodation and fees for a uni student are not really an issue, Chiang Mai is a very inexpensive place to live.

You can't paint them all with the same brush, so I know what I say doesn't apply to all of them here, I am only speaking from my experience.

I agree with you! If you have succeeded in chatting up a Uni student, normally you have to sponsor her during daytime, but still pay for the "services" of another girl at night. I heard that even most of the local Thai male students do not have any other choice, before marriage.
