The "hate" directed to the "Abuelos" is two fold and well earned. The First being the attitude of the chichipatos and sense of entitlement that guys you meet in the country have. For what ever reason (I think most will agree that have had extended or muli visits to Col) they have a huge attitude problem; to put it simply they are haters by definition. Full disclosure I'm friends with a few of them but like bacon I can only deal with small or occasional doses! Hahahaha! Or like walking dogs, one or two is fine but once you get them in a pack of 5+ you're no longer in for a fun leisurely stroll!

This "hating" is directed not only amongst the themselves but also to the young guys, the new guys, and what I find the most distasteful is the attitude and way they treat the girls. The shit talking, the sniping, the cheapness, why hang with them just because they speak English? You want to talk about guys coming down and over paying / tipping killing the scene and spoiling the girls? More like let's talk about the long timers treating the girls like shit-meat and turning them from sweet little angels into hard pros. Who does more damage? A guy that pisses in the pool once or the guy who takes a huge shit in it every other day? Also the reading comprehension or lack of it I chalk up to the abuelos too. They must need new glasses.

Well the $50 was a typo ($500) some guy jumps down my throat about "WHERE you find RS for $50!" Buddy I just told you how to get it for free!

The second factor is the habitual cluelessness! I find that common sense is not so common as I travel down my path of life. This is more of a on the boards vs on the ground type of thing. Should we do the cliche of questions?

I'm new where should I stay? I speak NO espanol can I meet regular girls? Where is a good spot to meet regular girls? Is Wendy ___? Can I bring a hooker back to my high end hotel? What if I want to fall in love with a hooker? What do I do if a girl won't suck my flaccid dick? I mean come on! This is all basic info that has been covered over and over again. This is on me but I assume it's from some recently divorced gringo so I just lump the clueless into the "Abuelo" camp. Forgive me.

* I know not everybody is lucky enough to be a world traveler. Even fewer get to do so at a young age. But the questions about meeting regular girls and the fact they need coaching on personal grooming and hygiene? Is it any wonder why they can't get laid in their own countries? Not that I'm George Cluney or Vin Diesel but I've learned to use what I have to the best of my advantage. Be the best you can be and be self aware of your own faults is clutch in terms of meeting girls and getting laid. For example I have habitual bad breath, I always carry around gum or certs. Why? Because I want to get laid and I am self aware!

While I'm ranting. Questions about hotels and apartments should be posted in the Hotel & Apartment topic! That way the next guy can search for the info he wants quickly with out having to read 100x posts about meeting regular girls. For example; I had a TON of total rookie questions about Colombian Cell phones. I asked them in the Cell phone topic. See what I did there? Now the next guy who is as dumb as me can just follow the bread crumbs.

Like all things in life; When you step up and come correct people will respect you. If you try to front like something you are not people will treat you accordingly.

Many times reading myself I can't stand and literally hate my dushiness and stop writing useless reports, sometimes our real life is so lame and killing boring and we think ourselves deserve better for being rich or white or black or in between, that some fantasy and exaggeration takes place and feeds our sorry ego, sometime we just do it unconsciously and people feel offended with out apparent logical reason.

Instead of jumping down their throat or making a sarcastic remark, either help them out or simply ignore the question and don't reply! Also, when they are called out on their behavior, they get all defensive and get the "well then I'm not sharing and posting anymore attitude." I've seen this on every forum I've been to. Relax people! We are here to fuck chicks and share our experiences. There is no right or wrong way. Everyone has their own way.
