I hesitate to post a lot about Scandallo because it speaks for itself. Over the past few days (except Sunday, because it is closed), I have spent most of my time there. The quality is nearly unparalleled. And I am saying this having been to German FKKs. In terms of the attractiveness of the women, I'd say they're close to the same but the price point for Scandallo is what makes it marginally better. If money was unlimited, I'd pretty much live in a FKK. Service, however, is exponentially better at Scandallo. A Brazilian explained the model to me: girls have to perform. The price point is worth noting because it isn't cheap. R300 for entry (if you enter before 7 PM then its R150). Out of the R300 for entry, R150 can be used towards food and drinks. R230 for an hour in the standard room which has a bathroom, shower, TV, speakers, etc. I almost want to get a suite from R260 just to see what it looks like. It will be anywhere from R500-R1000 for the girl depending on how you negotiate. Beers range from R35-R45. Mixed drinks are around R70. Dinner will be about R150. So, if you show up around 8 PM to eat dinner, have a few drinks, and session one time, then you're looking at around R1500 at least. Even if you just showed up to session and do nothing else, you're not walking out paying less than R1030 (and that is assuming you talked the girl down to R500).

On a different note, Rio is a much better city for very obvious reasons. If Scandallo weren't here, I would see no reason to ever come to Sao Paulo. For the newbie monger on a 10 day trip, I'd say spend 7 days in Rio then 3 days in Sao Paulo. During those 3 days, set up shop at Scandallo and get all the poison out.

That's what I thought, but some have come here claiming that it was open on Sundays (I have never known that to be true). Some people have also indicated that Thursday is really the only good day. Again, that does not square with my own personal experience. I'm not saying that Thursdays suck, but I've gone on Friday and Saturday nights and had a blast! What Americans and Europeans consider white is different than what Brazilians call white. I listened to a podcast about this a few months ago and it clarified some of the ethnic differences one sees among Brazilians.

As an additional anecdote, I had a conversation with a Brazilian girl about it and she got very offended when I said that in the US she would not be considered white.

I guess in Brazil if you are light skinned but mixed a little bit with something else, you can call yourself white. I tried to explain to her that in the US and Europe you're only considered white if you're pretty much entirely European, but she wasn't having it.

In any case, there are a lot of race issues in Brazil. Next time you're in southern Brazil, ask someone for a brigadiero for a dessert and see what they call it instead.
