China, if ever, has colonized Thaiiland only for brief periods, one thousand years ago, and pretty much nothing of that is left in Thai culture. Admittedly some of the upper and medium class including the present PM are of remote Chinese ethnic origin but do not speak Chinese and have nothing to do with them anymore. China does not have a large industrial presence in Thailand, they own no factories and no farms, and have no major business here. China has never politically influenced Thailand, that has always been a staunch anti-communist country. The biggest foreign investor in Thailand is Japan with all the familiar brand names, exported worldwide. They build high quality products and are highly respected as country of high values, and rich individuals. Go check to who the high-end clubs and soapies in BKK cater to. The regular Chinese foreign or tourist is seen as a necessary nuisance by most Thais just like as a Westerner is.

Guess you are right about the seller market. Come to think of it only one gogo-bar I went to offered quality in quantity. This one was on LK Metro and I think there are only maybe 3 gogo bars there so if it is the same lineup and the girls are available for takeout this would probably be a good place to go. The rest had a number of good looking girls but only one or no stunners. Instead either a little to many years on girls who might very well have been knockouts in the past, or young and a little cute but nothing special. Ladyboys and gays are not admitted at discos in Thailand, for reasons that are easy to understand. But at Marine, at least some of them are. They are so evident and can add some show and liveliness to the place.

But they other night there were two already older 'ladies', of the 'low key' kind that will try to deceive who is naive enough. They invited me to the table and really tried to start a conversation. They are there just because the business could sell one more whiskey bottle. Bad really.
