How would you train?
1) Daily activity multiple time to simulate up coming trip?
2) Or abstain for week or so to build up strength?
Interesting question, I guess I'd choose #1
Interesting question, I guess I'd choose #1
I'd say a few weeks of #1 followed by a few days of #2!
I abstain but not by choice: sex prison USA (with occasional trips to Tijuana for those chi chi muy grandes.)
Being not so young any more I'd like some input:
Say you were going to AC for 2-4 days / nights of high volume action.
How would you train?
Daily activity multiple time to simulate up coming trip?
Or abstain for w eek or so to build up strength?
I'm thinking of doing a short trip to Angeles (out of Singapore) between August 21 and 24, and noticed that the 21st will be Ninoy Aquino Day. Any thoughts on how that might impact the days I am considering as far as venues being open, or anything else like lodging / transportation?
I've been to AC once before, and may consider Phnom Penh as an alternative since I have never been there. Any input comparing the two places would be welcome as well.
Thanks!

The only dates to worry about are Holy Week (the week preceding Easter including Good Friday) ; the period around All Souls Day (Oct 30 to November 3) and probably the immediate post Christmas period.
All the other days are full on.
Well I am old and have done enough door girls.
Best one had a cowboy hat on in front of Typhoon (not 100% sure on location). She told me she was 31, the gal had jugs of steel, and a great body. She said gets tired of the noise, hassle, and standing there all evening. Saw her next day and she drug me into the bar and I bought her a drink. Asked me to take her again and, like a fool, I didn't. I always get this feeling there is something better around the corner, there was not. Biggest mistake of my last trip.
Yep! Door girls do it cause they're tired of the game and dancing on the stage and stuff like that. I actually manage to pick a lot of door girls FYI, it helps that I'm young. The only downside is, when I walk by the next day or night with another girl, they give you the stare! As if you're doing something wrong and you broke their heart and they're asking themselves "Why did I let this jerk go Greek on meeeee!" LOL.

I just read this yesterday but apparently the Philippines is looking to 'build' new air and naval bases at Subic which the US forces could use. Again. It's been a long time since I've been out by Subic but I wonder if there are still enough bars to handle the crowd when the fleet docks, or if any of this will spill over into the AC scene. If several thousand drunken sailors come into AC, that could drive up prices.
This is old news buddy! They've been working on Subic for an while now.
I wasn't aware of this at all, but I don't exactly follow the news from the PI that closely.
The last time I was out by Olongapo was right after the US made the decision to pull out of the PI but the military still occupied Subic and Clark. At the time, you could damn near walk on the rooftops of the go-go bars from Olongapo to Subic. When a fleet would dock, I think there was an average of 5,000 to 7,000 sailors that would flood the bars around Olongapo. I would imagine most of these bars have closed down after the pull-out (no pun intended) and that's why I am curious as to how this might affect the AC scene.
When the Philippine government kicked the US out I think they did not realize the economic impact this had on the economy. Now they want us back.
Who is "they"? I think there is still a pretty strong resistance among many Filipinos to having the US military back. I've lifted a few beers in Lapu with some US guys doing ops out of Mactan. They were keeping a low profile.

US service man will spend the money, that is true. But often, they are not very good guests.
Then there is the nationalistic pride, most people don't like a foreign power within their borders.
I worked with a few Filipinos in Afghanistan that lived in Pampanga and they all said the local economy tanked after we pulled out. I'm sure there are quite a few that still don't want us there but the recent PI flare-up with China appears to be fueling most of the recent talk about the US setting up shop there again.
They've had a number of pissing contests over the Spratly Islands over the years. One time while I was staying at Baloy Beach (1990?) , I was awakened at 5:30 AM by 8 jets that took off from Subic and were breaking the sound barrier as they flew over Baloy Beach at an altitude of about 200 feet. Baloy is only a few miles from the end of the runway and they all broke the sound barrier either over Baloy or right before they hit the area. I later learned there was a Chinese naval vessel approaching the coast and the US responded.
This conversation has changed from tail to tailhooks but I'd still like to know if Olongapo and Subic could handle a fleet full of blue balls or if this would spill over into AC. I have a feeling AC would see quite an uptick in activity and as much as I love our military, I wouldn't want to be there when the fleet docks.
