Some time ago, there were discussions on the 787 max here. Curious as how people are travelling to PI. I have been avoiding the 737 and the 787 but the latter is hard on long hauls and my FFof choice. Current 787 whistle blower is pushing me to switch FF.

As for air safety you would be better to save yourself the worry of airliner safety. The additional stress would be doing more damage than your actual risk of death in an aircraft. As you know after 9-11 the US death rate increased because people decided not to fly and they started driving.

About 10 years ago, Philippine Airlines did use an A340 out of Melbourne, before those four engined beauties became uneconomical.
The captains on Cebu Pacific flights out of Australia are usually foreigners. There was one Aussie guy in the left hand seat who said before takeoff "You'll be looked after by 10 gorgeous girls on this flight. " Now if he was a Qantas captain and said that, he would have been sacked on the spot and probably would been on the front page of every newspaper in the land, branded a sexist pig. And never to be employed ever again. But in the Philippines, they appreciate beauty and don't mind being told. Hahahaha.
(He probably would have been lying as well as there's no such thing as a gorgeous Qantas hostie.)

You are limited in Manila. Have done Qantas but can't stand the the drama queen stewards. At least with BA, they are more professional.
Cannot avoid 737 in the US. Seen many drive when flights cancelled. But cannot drive cross country or ocean.
Cruise ship takes too long.
Did 777 and 767 but hard to find and they sometimes switch. Not too many with my FF.
Kind of leaning towards switching to oneworld. My status is not high but at least don't have to start at the beginning.

Our routine is often for one week like this: she comes on Monday afternoon and stays until Wednesday 10 am-ish, goes home to the fam and returns early Wednesday evening and stays till Friday morning 10 am-ish, goes home to the fam and returns early Friday evening, and stays until Sunday 10 am-ish. Why you don't stay 24 or 48 hours to that guy, like you do with me? "With you I want. With him not want. His mind far away, he always on his phone msg to his boss, always talking trabaho. Evenings not go out always stay in. More better to do the night and go home".
I run into this exact / similar story from my regulars (from the province to the city) on an infrequent (but regular) basis. Some nice guy sweeps into town for a few days, ignores the girl both sex and possibly otherwise (some girls tell of the guy is capable of sex, but does it once only or even not at all during a visit), drops a load of cash, and jets off. At least a dozen girls have related a similar story, and I have related such here before.

Welty, you do not know if she is telling you the truth. She does not want you to feel bad that in between visits to you she has sex with other guy. If the guy does not take her out to dinner and such what do they do long hours together? Many Philippine girls wants you to feel you are the only one they are having sex with boosting your ego.
I had one such girl. I am never interested in anybody over the age of 27. This girl is 19 . We talked often in messenger. She was very good when I met her. I asked her about her sex life. She professed she is waiting for me only. When I met her it is my habit to put my finger and do the smell test. In my previous life I might have been a dog LOL! For that matter I am sure many people think I am a dog still. Her snatch smelled funny. Initially I though it maybe the hot weather. I told her to take shower and mentioned the smell. She was fresh smelling three months ago. She took a shower and cleaned herself. And I did the test again. Still inside smell was the same I acted like a doctor and asked her if there was a discharge and also pain on urinating. She confirmed and said she maybe coming down on something but still did not admit that she was having sex with other people. When I told her this is definitely sexually transmitted disease she broke down and said she has been seeing a Korean guy. There are also many wealthy businessman who travel to the Philippines for work. I doubt they care about the size of the tip they give the chick. It's chicken shit money to them. I will be making my 1st trip to the Philippines very soon and will have about a week to spend in palawan. I want to be able to see the cool sites like El nido port Barton, Coron and do some island hopping, but also want some leisure girlie chasing time as well. What are the top recommended places I should do on my 1st trip and which one would you de-prioritize for the next trip?
Your personal opinions are welcome, as I know I am leaving too many varables in this ooe ended, very general question.

If you are young and have chat, you might pull tourists there.
El nido is a tourist trap, albeit a nice one, every day 20 boats with 25 customers each set off doing the same tours, so it's busy, but still worth it.
You can fly to either Coron (cebu Pacific) and a 4 hour ferry to El nido or to Puerto princesa and a 6 hour bus ride to El nido.

I flew on Air Swift from Cebu to El Nido in October 2019, Direct, Non stop flight. I think they are daily flights both ways. I had a girl with me so I don't know of any action there. Very quiet place, nice beach, expensive but not 5 star hotels and expensive eating. We did the Island hopping boat tour one full day, well worth it IMHO if you haven't been before. Stayed three nights. I do beleive there are some selections on the dating sites but I did not peruse. If I hadn't had someone with me I would have been bored other than the tour. But that's just me, the beach scene is not my thing. The small town of El Nido is about 5 miles away from the beach / hotels area. Free shuttle back and forth.

Cupid is better than pinalove as it let's you search down to city level vs to the province only. You may be able to convince girls to bus in to meet.

Unless you start out in Puerto Princessa and select one there. El Nido is a tourist trap, the kind of place where 'Italian' restaurants are owned by Isrealis employing Filipino cooks. Coron is nicer, went by Juan Air. From there, boat ride to Culion (unique place) and get away from it all, just make sure you got the right low maintenance girl for all this.
