I have found myself more than once in the situation of being into an airport somewhere around the world knowing with just hours of notice that I was going to stop over god-knows where for a night or a few days or so and have had the day saved by the info available on here just by logging in while waiting for the flight.

I have the utmost respect for this forum's contributors and strive to give back to the forum something worthwhile whenever I can. All contributors to the forum are to be respected, whether their contribution comes in form of factual and useful information, pictures, or even funny stories and interesting subjects.

Alas, addressing fellow forum members with terms such as "motherfucker" is one shortcoming that could and should easily be avoided, even more so by such an estabilished member, hence my few words concerning the arrogance.

As someone with limited Thai experience I appreciate the detail of the reports. How much you paid is good info for us, and we can choose to do as you did or negotiate.

Obviously some posters have fatter wallets than others, and those with the cash get to enjoy the experience without the hassle of wondering if it is too much or not.

The steep 1500 BF at LL was a surprise to me. I was contemplating going there, but may reconsider (or not, as it does sound like a good place to eat). But obviously LL is providing a safe, known environment for mongers such as ourselves, and can command a premium of 1200 or so. Good on them for providing the service.

My story is pretty much the same as yours except that I started flight from New Zealand. Long flight, landed at 9 and reached hotel citadines@sukhumvit 23 around 10. 30.

Thanks to Excellent advise by many forum members, the hotel choice was perfect, there is action available bang opposite the hotel door! LOL. Too much action actually.

Called SW but found out that all three if my choices, run, nn and may are gone permanently. A bit dissapointed so decided not to go to Mango as it was midnight already and ventured to a message parlour just opposite to hotel. Sagitha something. Chose a provider, young. 20ish with see cup. They have three levels of rooms upstairs, basic but sufficient. Told her not to worry about message and went staright for an hour of "quickie". Very good response, nothing was off the table and walked away after 40 mins, damage. 2000 bahts.

Slept like a baby for 7 hours and ready for more. Stay tuned.

Being in love with an uzbek, Russian, turkmen, or even a thai lady, does it ever work out?

My friend claims he is in love and won't let go. Anything I say, he goes on the defence, I can't get him to let go and she won't let him go.

If you don't know, Soi 33 is filled with high end (?) bars where 1500 B is the norm. They cater to mainly Japanese clientele. However, you always have the option to wait till closing to get the lowest BF rate. Also, this is a boutique business hotel which Giotto does not want to turn into Nana Plaza.
