As for Medellin it is not a good monger hotel destination, they're either too funky or too high end and not GF. The hotels in La Mayorista are cheap, clean and very small, also very isolated.

The only strip clubs I've been to are in El Centro and most chicas there are plump, some nice lookers but plump. You can probably get TLN for around 1 or 2 bills.

I did go to San Diego strip club and was not impressed. Las America was my favorite strip club, w / huge porno vids running all night, a freaking down and dirty place. Apparently too much so because it is closed now.

Anyone been in Titiribi, a small town, but not so touristic as Santa Fe de Antioquia or Guatape, maybe a good spot to longterm-term rent a small house or apartment, which access to a pool (and river).

Is 1500 meter above sea level, the same as Medellin, but also with an area "El Tambo. Area green with a temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and 600 meters Ideal for fishing or sports area lunch picnics".

With fewer tourists than the other exotic places around MDE one maybe can live a life in tranquility, without paying tourist prices.

I liked Marinilla very much, but the higher altitude makes it colder and more rainy than MDE.

Guapate is awesome, but I don't play in that field of incomes that are needed for long-term / permanent living.

Those barrios are close to a huge Stadium, malls, supermarkets, close to Laureles, La 70, with all kind of restaurants and prepagos in apartments in a safe area. Estadio / Suramericana also comunication centre, close to buses, taxis, metro, close, to Centro, Laureles. But prices are on some services are only 1/2 of those in Poblado. There are many hotels, hostels and apartmenthotels from 30-100 k COP / night. Also many nice motels, where you can bring a girl, on Avenida Colombia / 50.

Decided to check out the place last night, Friday nov. 08. I arrived 9:15pm, total persons 3, barmaid, chica and me. I asked the barmaid what time people showed up on a Friday and she said 10pm, I asked the chica and she said 11pm. I had one beer 7k and left at 9:35 so the new total was now 2 persons when I left. So suggest if you plan to visit don't go at 930pm. Headed back to el centro where my 2 favorite places with dancers are packed at 6pm on a Friday and were rocking as usual at 10pm when I returned, and no other gringos in sight and those Colombianos taking all the plump ones and leaving all those flaquitas for me. My god I love Colombia.

Yeah Bart I have had your same experience, few gringos in the centro strip joints although the quality is hit and miss. They keep getting knocked for their best dancers by bigger clubs.

Liquid Lounge is just a hot mess if you ask me. Never once have I gone there and enjoyed myself. There is like a narrow window between 1030 and 130 where there are actually girls. It's not a sports bar, it's not a comfortable lounge, it's not a strip club. But in a way it's a little bit of all those things. Not my scene, sorry, have to agree with you on that.

I never really enjoyed the Mayo. I stayed there four or five years ago at Frank's place. Whew, what a dump of an apartment and what a dumb of a neighborhood. The sessions I had there were dull and rushed, the girls really get run through there, too. Not my scene either lol.

What are your two places in el centro that's good at 6pm? Do tell.

We are the same as Fase Dos, San Diego, Luna Luneras. Things do not get going until around 11pm. I personally don't like it, but it's the nature of things here. The guys don't start showing up until late so the Chicas do the same. We are trying to get the parties started earlier, but it's going to take some time. We just rented a special apartment for our new "out of town" girls, and we have 2 starting in a couple of weeks from Pereira. In time we will have 4 or 5 out of town girls that will be exclusive to Liquid, so of course they will be there earlier. Hopefully, that will prompt the Gringos to start showing up earlier.

It is certainly true that we haven't found our exact niche, but it's a lot of fun trying different things, and we are close to developing our exact biz model. Getting the strip club license has caused us to change things around, but of course it's a great thing. We also made a change of management, but the important thing is that we are now self supporting which means we can stay open indefinitely and work to get things exactly the way we want without having to throw money at it. We have a crew of non Mansion chicas which have made Liquid home, and our apartment for out of town chicas is now rented. As soon as it's furnished, we will bring our first girls from out of town, and in time will have 3 or 4 more.

We are starting the strip club remodel next week which will feature a 2 story strip pole and a new stage in front of the 120" projector screen. There are many other improvement coming, so I urge you to give us another chance, and offer suggestions if there's something you think we could do better.

The biggest problem is timing. I have walked in many times disheartened to see it dead, only to see the place utterly transformed in an hour.

Everybody hires builders and workers but they think consultants are unnecessarily. Any consultant would have said the same thing. Pick one, are you a night club / lounge or a sports bar chill spot? Dive bar or Gastro Pub? High end or low end? Strip club or working girl house? You can't be both and when you try to be all things to all people you end up failing at everything. Come watch football, come chill, come to the oil wrestling, come, come, come. Reeks of desperation.

The "Gringos" only or exclusive plan was a bad idea from the start. All cops bad! Horrible in fact. I imagine the 4 owners (or how many there are) sitting around a table, all "Bro! This is going to be awesome! And we'll only let in Gringos like us no broke ass local Colombians who slow slip one beer" and in general just stroking their collective egos. How that rule of thumb or policy ever got past the first. 05 seconds is beyond me. Some locals Colombians DO have money, and once again I'll say this "Locals and regulars keep the lights on and water flowing. The tourists and their short time money buy you the BMW"

I applaud the fact that the decision makers are addressing their failures and shot comings but this might NOT be a good thing. Once again we back to consultants and talking to good people vs just the people cutting the checks and footing the bill. Just because you have a Strip club license does not make you a strip club! A good strip club and ALL successful businesses have good flow, a positive vibe, good layout, Fung Shui. From the pictures it looks like all the seats are on the sides of the "stage" and not right in front. That means to see the girls dancing you have to crank your neck 90* to the left or right. How long you going to tolerate this before you bounce? Would you come back to a place like this? It was not built as a strip club, not designed originally as a strip club so the place needs to remodeled as as SC.

So now LL is a strip club with a crap layout. Revenue? Either you tax the girls, the customers, or the bar. Or if you're lucky all 3. You going to get "Champagne Room" by CR I mean on site fucking or is that a different license? Will it become what I believe the owners wanted from the beginning a free lance bar? With so many guys asking about this club in Rio, this club in CR, this club in DR. Why not just lift their business model and tweak it to the Medellin / Colombian Market? Business Cliche: Keep it simple stupid! When it came to working girls the free lance bar was / is the one huge hole in the Monger scene in Colombia no?

15+ Years of Restaurant and Hotel experience under my belt (granted as a worker bee and low level management) The owner ship group might want to consider a Full re brand! Like change the name to pLace. Small P large L. (it's from Family Guy!)

My tips for the new strip club. I'd hire a crew of dancers that are available but mostly dance as eye candy, not just tits and ass, they are part of the vibe! I'd get a girl to work as a "Judas Cow" go down to where ever you see them barrio chicks and snipe the pretty ones from the shitty clubs and be like a talent scout. To get those girls (you need to get a par sheet, how many girls should we have? You don't want too many but mos def yo udon't want too few. Got to do the homework) I'd get a bus driver or a large van. And be hey girls you see this Chiva? Well you can make more money working at Liquid Lounge (or pLace) AND we'll give you a free ride to work! You'll save $15-$20K COP in Taxis by just working for us! Clearly have a central spot or three. AND I'd offer them a "pre shift meal" That way you can lay down the law and rules before the action starts. A fee ride and a free meal? Colombians LOVE FREE SHIT! FACT! Hahahah! If you get the girls the dudes will come.

Then you tax the girls. Maybe not an upfront charge but have a time min if they getting a ride in and a free meal. Then if they get a date you tax them.

In town now. 2 days in. Checked out a couple clubs in centro yesterday, Ejecutivo and Macaibo. Talent is so / so. But I have different preferences, either big curves (not fat) or beautiful face, or both preferably. I don't like the average looking thin girls. Some girls want a ridiculous price for take out, but you can talk them down if you speak Spanish. In my experience a lot of them said they were working till the club closes at 3:30 and don't want to leave for hotel unless you pay $$. The two I wanted to take back for $150 for 2 horas (plus 70k takeout) , both insisted that I pay them before the service. Not something I recommend doing. They did have 70k for 30min at the actual place, but I wasn't looking for that last night. Most colombian men are there in groups at the tables so it can get a bit awkward at times sitting there by yourself. Note, you approach the girls yourself. The ones that approach you will tend to be hustlers / ugly. Unfortunately the ones I approached had the pay in advance gig for take out, meaning on the spot at the club, which was not happening. Girls tax after every dance, whether you pay attention to them or not. Highlight of the night was meeting a hot young morena that looks like Kim Kardashian. I told her that, and she had no idea who KD was. This is the one who wanted $200US per hour which changed to $200k or so for two hours. She agreed to hang out outside the club and gave her number after I danced with her for a bit. Interesting thing about her was that she was giving me kisses on the lips throughout and had the right personality. Think I'll call her tomorrow.

On a side note, I play blackjack and went a couple big casinos yesterday (Saturday) which were mostly empty of women. If you like casinos, nothing beats the Veneto in Panama.

I apologize for the long rant. I've been to a two casas, New Life, and Dulce and in one talent was limited in number and quality and the other had excellent girls who readily gave their numbers and want to chill who gave excellent sessions, however, I would prefer prettier / younger girls. So, can anyone recommend a casa that I should check out? Aife? Coffee Shop? Something else?

Centro clubs close around 2. Most will be willing to leave with you around 1:30 (without multa. No takeout fee. If they insist, offer a 20k tip and most will agree!). They were asking way too much because they see you as a gringo. ST can be had for 100-120k. TLN 150-200k. Some more. Some less. If they talk in dollars always say. Did you mean pesos. BTW, if you insist on paying a higher rate than normal. Always session on site to get a feel for her service and see if she is worth it! Never pay in advance. Compromise is to lay the money on the nightstand.
