For sure, it has changed a lot, compared to the "good old days". But there is also more choice and in a way more competition now, compared to before. I still like coming here and don't know any other place on earth that would be comparable. It is just for the fun and excitement.

Yes, some bars are getting ridiculous with their bar fines. Was at Roxy last night. Twenty minutes before they close. Wanted to barfine a cutie, but the mama tells me that the bar fine is 1000 Baht. Just before they close. I told her that 600 would be more reasonable and acceptable. But she is nodding something like "coyote", which I actually don't understand. I replied that in this case, she can forget about the deal. This is the only message we have. If the girls are not taken out anymore and don't make good money anymore, they will avoid working in such bars and go for others.

On the other hand, I changed then to Diamonds in Soi Diamond. They were open until 4:30 AM. Had a lot of fun there. Their places have been taken over by (mainly) Lao and (to a lesser extent) Khmer girls. To the uninitiated, Lao girls can easily pose as Isaan girls. Perhaps this influx of foreign girls explains the drop in service levels? Could it be that they are more mercenary and money-wise than their Isaan sisters?

This is a trend that actually started already a few years ago. However, our reaction should be the same: we don't go to these bars anymore. Money talks. In all areas. Perhaps we could start informing each other about such bars, where girls are not motivated anymore to go out with customers. It might have little effect overall, but at least it helps our ISG community. I think of a ranking of the bars by "motivation degree", perhaps on a scale from 1 to 10. Of course, this will always be subjective and depends also on us as individuals as well as on the individual girls. But it could give at least some idea.

Based on my current visit in Pattaya, I will try to do some research on this and report.
