I am looking for some intel on Koh Chang. My research has left me uncertain of the level of p4p action going on there. I am seriously considering a 2 week SCUBA trip to Thailand after Xmas and considering Koh Chang. Plenty of info available on SCUBA and hotels, but lacking on the p4p. My main concern is there enough selection to find something nice for NYE, or am I better off staying in BKK or Pattaya for NYE? I have plenty of first-hand experience in Thailand, but none in respect to Koh Chang. Any insight would be most appreciated.

What in the world is NYE (it's not on the site abbreviation list)?

You're better off in Pattaya or Bangkok for *anything* when it comes to PFP. I haven't been there for 2+ years, but Koh Chang has mostly resorts, and no major town, so while I'm sure you can find a girl or ten, I doubt selection will be impressive.

TOTAL: ~25k

Get there either by flight to Trat and minibus to the island or bus from BKK. The main road goes down one side of the island where all the falang delights are (the other side is Thai orientated).
First beach you hit on the shared taxi (saeng thaw) is the most developed, White Sands BEach. Big disco bar with live music and plenty of freelancers there esp. on the weekend when the hotties come over from the mainland.
Mini-pat is further down the road, a small area with some open girlie beer bars etc but when I was there last about 2 years ago there were several falang there who loved to fight. A number of other places along that coast with various bars, such as Kaibe beach. Some places go quiet during the off season but I have found that you get more attention at that time. Further down the road there is the backpacker's beach and at the very end of the island there is a quiet small beach with fewer beggars and botherers.
Be aware that the backpackers beach area has its share of druggies and the police (including the Tourist Police) swoop down on that part of the island and cart everyone off on a regular basis.
I always enjoyed KC but Pattaya it is not. Much more laid-back and suits the chap who is not into several different girls every day. I found girls there who were inclined to be more gfe than other places in Thailand - some were really semi-pro rather than hardened pros. I am into the younger ladies like the next man (there is not much to beat a toned 25 year old!) but several times I found myself one that was mid 30s or even 40 who were so into it that we both had a blast and were far better in bed than the younger ones.

I am here now and it is the dogs bollocks.

Everything that Pattaya has got (I was there last week) without the crap.

Pattaya is Huddersfield or Detroit with sex. Koh Chang still as some charm.

Friendly and warm, no hassle, as much sex as you can handle. Prices like Pattaya, but not in your face. Full of rich Russians and Thais. A few Germans and Brits.

Yes......New Year's Eve is the key time of my concern as I will not arrive until like the day before and didn't want to come-up short OR have to work too hard after the long trip across from the US. Having been to Pattaya, Phuket and Koh Samui, I know what the scene is and would not worry about the selection nor have to work too hard to find a companion. I welcome additional feedback, but may consider hanging in BKK to ring-in the New Year and then head to KC afterward. Or perhaps, I will head straight to Koh Samui or Phuket. Just prefer to explore other parts of the country, both above and below the ocean!

There are as many beer bars and good looking women as you will ever need.

Many are of a very good standard because there are no GoGos to cream off the best ones.

Be careful in the massage places though, not all do what it says on the sign.

Best place to be is Kai Bae Beach for "being"; White Sands has more beer bars but it a bit unfriendly; Lonely Beach is dull; Bang Bao is cool but not too many bars. The best beach by far is Klong Prao.

After doing alot of researching, it seems that me being posted in Alor Setar, Kedah, Malaysia for a 1 year project doesn't seem all too that bleak as I jz found out about this small town called Danok jz across the border.

Just got my passport after flying back to KL last week, so am hoping to perhaps pop over to Danok for a day trip tomorrow. The main reason for such a short trip is because I've nvr been there before and I'll most likely be going alone. So don't want to test my luck by staying over night.

I've read alot of the posts here about Danok, but most of them seems to be outdated. Is Danok still alive and rocking?

Also, any advice or if anyone here's willing to be my guide, I would be more very grateful!

i was in hua hin last month, very pleasant place for few days seaside holiday. i visit the famous [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord900][CodeWord900][/url] (blow-job bar). to be honest, i would not recommend that much. you can find better value and experiences in several massage places in the same street. girls in the local bars also available for take-out, though the best-lookers seem to go to bangkok.

i took girl back for night at my beach hotel, no problem although security guard took her id. i made sure he gave it back next morning.

no flights from bkk, you must take taxi (2-3 hours).

Can anyone reccomend a good hotel, I am looking for a 3-4 star not too busy but close to town centre, must have a pool with sunbeds. If you have been to Pattaya I am looking for something like Sandy Springs or LK Rennaisance or even Areca lodge. Annual holiday with her indoors so not too concerned about bringing guests back, I will just be sneaking off to lollitas everyday when she is snoring near the pool.

Go to the Hadyai thread of the Thailand Forum here. You will be able to read up on Danok.

Nice place and you will have no problems with an overnighter. Stay at Oliver Hotel. Go around Oliver to take the girls, make sure you take from the shop and have the papasan hp no. LT for a decent girl should not cost more than 2500bht. Hotel is around 90 baht with breakfast.

Couple of places you could check out for drinks are such at Pattaya and Hello Bangkok Disco. You could also go to the late night disco located behind Oliver (but in this place you must be careful).

Food good seafood available at PED Restaurant (i believe the 1st or 2nd Soi on the right when you pass the Border Post. Spa you may try Mutiara but you can also have decent massage just across Oliver (traditional massage).

If you can find a good deal on the net on Hilton or Sofitel, you should take it. They are perfect for a short stay - and sometimes expensive.

Peony and PP Villa are good choices to, but they are small and your gonna meet scandinavian packettourist there.
