Ho Chi Minh City - General Info

I forgot the name of it but it's on Le Quy Don. It's an Egytian theme place. One of you guys will know the name. It's open till 5AM everyday. I usually go there after the club if im not with a girl already. I also met two girls after work as well. Didnt have time to close the deal with them. It's a very clean, thorough place. Has all the amenities you are looking for. I think they have just finished renovating it. A tip to get a nice massage girl is asking the workers in the back. Tell what you want in a girl and they'll steer you to one of your liking. 20k tip will do the trick. The ticket is around 100k, and tip is usually 200k for me. I tip the workers if i need foot massage or my back scrub, 50k per services. All the girls have let me touch them on the finish. It's good to be polite and charming and respectful. Dont go in with an attitude like they are like your servant. Have fun. A second place is next Vivas club.

Massage is those 5 star hotel are a waste of money and time.

Where can I find older working girls in HCMC? Like, in their 30s. All the girls I see are young.

Has anyone had an experience in the Hot Tocs located in Q. 5 on Tran Hung Dao St? Would appreciate hearing details about the price, facilities, and what happened.

I have wandered by these places a few times, and I can see they have some great looking girls, but. I want to sit down and have a beer and contemplate who I will choose, like I used to do in Thailand. Instead. I have to walk by furtively. I can't stop and really look the girls over because everybody on the street is staring at me. I feel too self-conscious to even stop walking for a minute and look them over.

And if I go inside, I will be pressured to make a decision immediately, I suspect. I did go in once and they said that a massage was $10. I thought that was too much, as I know the usual price in a hot toc for a massage is 50, 000 dong, with any extras negotiated later.

I have never seen anybody go in these places, yet I imagine there must be customers. How is it done? What is the proper price? Grateful to hear your experiences.

And yes, I know. I'm not in Thailand anymore.

You can find older girls at Caravell or Sheraton. However, they are usually in their late 20s. Girls you are in their 30s are usually married and have gotten out of the business. If older girls are your flavor, try picking them up at restuarants and other places. One of the advatanges is you don't have to pay for them.

I recently visited Thailand. What a dramatic difference! You are treated much better and it's cheaper. In many of the bars the women are very friendly and there is little or no pressure to buy a lady a drink or to barfine her. You don't feel like every moment they are trying to squeeze money out of you. Thailand is a more rich and developed nation than Vietnam so it's suprising that being serviced here is more expensive. According to the Lonely Planet guidebook the daily minimum wage in Bangkok is $4.50 US. In contrast, a lot of the people I know in HCMC are earning 40,000 VND ($2.50 US) each day for 8 to 12 hours of work. Many of the women in Thailand are quite happy with 1,000 baht ($30 US) while in HCMC the women in the bars seem to want at least $50 US. The girl I chatted with the other night in the backpacker area wanted $60 for an hour. I think you have to look outside of district 1 for better deals. I found a good hot toc place in district 10. Shouldn't cost more than 200,000 VND if you don't come with a xe om and negotiate beforehand. It's at 134 Ho Ba Kien, F. 15, Q. 10

Please trust me.[/QUOTE]True. I find that you get better and more personalized service at the cheaper (50,000 VND) massage places that the locals go to. At a five star hotel the girls are probably used to and expect big tips.

some of those girls are tricky, going through your wallet while you are in the shower and such. Be really careful, take them to your territory instead of theirs. The locals use their services because of the price, I wouldn't recommend them to foreign mongerers.

Plenty of RTFF massage chatter on this site. I am returning to HCM City in early April and want to go to have a massage somewhere near Pham Ngo Lau.

I'll be staying in a hotel there and spending my time in the area. Having not been over to VN for 5 years things will have changed. Any information would be valued.

You are expected to choose a girl fairly quickly in those hot toc places, and no they don't serve beer. ;-) You get a massage in a back room, usually separated by curtains from other customers -- a bit like being in a hospital. Anyway, before long your private nurse will make an attempt to escalate things and I think she lets you know how much that upgrade will cost. Trying to remember. It was HJ only, in my experience at least, and some groping and snuggling. Anyway, it's ok. Not bad. Now this is at one of those particular hot tocs that I think you are talking about, which are in an area with a few hotels and where Tran Hung Dao becomes narrower. Service at hot tocs in other areas probably are different. For example out on Dien Bien Phu in Binh Thanh district, where BJ is the norm.

I did it once 3 years ago with the bike girl, I had a good experience but i forgot how much I paid her. their price shouldn't be above 200. good luck

Asian food in western countries always has some adjustments to make it more palatable to the locals but that does not mean it is better. Quite frankly some of the thai and vietnamese food served in the west is quite bland because all of the spices and heat has been taken out of it.

In my view the vietnamese do a much better job of producing western food than the westerners do in producing vietnamese food.

Now some of these comments can be equally made about the girls in these places. I have no doubt that the girls in VN dress a little more conservatively than their VN sisters in Orange County but that does not mean that they are less attractive. To me there is very little more enticing than a nice VN hottie in a very unrevealing Aoi Dai.

I also have no doubt that the girls in HCMC are much more friendly and easy to deal with compared to their sisters in the west who have acquired western attitudes.
