Greetings!
I have 12 hrs in the city and having a hard time figuring it out. Any suggestions? Would like to get in a taxi go to a hotel and be close to the action.
My advise is forget about hotel and go straight to action.
What time is your arrival time?
If in morning, some location might still be closed.
You will need to ensure you have enough time to go back to the airport.
I would suggest you limit your hunting to gunung sahari / mangga dua area during the last 6 hours.
If you have big budget, Alexis is the place to go.
Lower budget MStar also a good location. (the rent 6 hours stay room as well)
Fashion hotel is another location close by.
Prepare to leave a least 2 hour for travelling back to airport.
Alternatively, you can go to FM7 that is close to the airport.
They do have some service but not as great as Kota area.

Thanks for the info. Will hopefully be able to partake of the fruits of the city any be able to share with other members. I have been doing some advance recon on DIA, and have some takers so will let all know. Would also like to meet up with some members if possible. Have to set up my account for pm. Will inform ASAP it is done.
Happy hunting to all.

I am not sure the newbie can do a stop over and exit Indo Immgrations if he don't already have a Indo visa, he is better off just do a 2-3 days stop over in Jarkata and get a visa for 25 USD and not rush himself.

Fast Eddie 48
Hi Fast Eddie.
I thought the visa detail is implied as he was looking for hotel in those 12 hours layover.
He also mention that he have 12 hours "in the city". So definitely he is exiting the immigration.
My advise is, instead of wasting his time checking in hotel and then go to action, he should just head straight to the action.
I don't know his nationality as well, if he's ASEAN nationality, then the immigration would not be a problem for him.
As he don't need visa.
Hi I am looking for hotel with 3 bedrooms with a common lounge? I go to China often stay at Crown Prince Hotel in CP they have rooms on the 6 flour 3 bedroom with common lounge. Great for parties with your friends. Coming to Jakarta in August with 2 mates looking to find same style hotel, cost is not a problem.
If you are looking for hotel, there are several that suit your requirement.
For hard partying my suggestion is Malio Hotel.
They have 2 big room to rent. Cost around 6-10 million rupiah room only (not a minimum charge) its an actual hotel room.
The biggest one (we often hold private party here) comes with sauna, jacuzzi, karaoke set, bar area, and 3 bedroom (4-5 beds)
Keep in mind it is quote popular for party, so book ahead.
Other suggestion is karaoke room, the downside is you have to check out in the morning for karaoke room.
Other hotel that have similar setup to your requirement without the party
Mahattan president suite. 1 main room with jacussi. 1 smaller room. 1 office room, large common area (rectangular shape)
Grand Tropic hotel. Family suite and up have more than 1 room, and there a common area as well. Aprt setup
Dharmawangsa Hotel.
Other location that I suggest is service apartment, as they will have the setup that you want:
Somerset Berlian Permata hijau.
Somerset Grand Citra.
Batavia Apartement.
Ascott Jakarta apartement.
What kind of party are you planning bro?
Let me know if you need organizer, I can supply all the necessity.

Course you can exit

Fast Eddie 48
No limitation on exiting the airport, as long as you buy the $25 USD 30 day Visa on Arrival before Immigration (which for foreigners, is right next door to VOA desks now). I'm guessing what you are talking about above is trying to exit without a Visa for 12 hours.
For note, the VOA desk now takes a range of currencies instead of just USD (or converting to USD at a horror exchange rate). Cash and notes only though. Get as close to the actual amount as possible, as they only give change in Rupiah, and the exchange rate sucks. Still it is cheaper than buying USD on the way out in my country, after the sucky exchange rate and transaction fee I get lumbered with.

Mandarin Oriental
Will be going to Jakarta and I am currently exploring my options for hotel stays, can anyone shed some light on the Mandarin Oriental Hotel as I cannot seem to find anything posted on the forum about stays and the local scene at the hotel or in the area.
Thanks
The Mandarin is located at the Hotel Indonesia roundabout, together with Hotel Indonesia (of course) and the Grand Hyatt.
The only mongering in the area is mall hunting in Plaza Indonesia (at the Hyatt) and Grand Indonesia (at Hotel Indonesia) and streetwalkers.
It is not too far (by taxi) from Kota if you avoid the evening rush hour.
Ditto for Blok M (slightly further away though).
Regards,
Ko

Happy hunting to all.
If MO fits into your budget, you might want to try the Shangri-La which has BATS downstairs. No, it's not the best place in town but at least you have an in house "back up" joint. If your schedule is flexible enough then you won't need to worry too much about the traffic. If you're staying in the Sudirman area (where MO is and Shangri-La is just off Sudirman) then there will be periods where the road is truly jammed up. I've long since learnt to work my way around this but it is still something to bear in mind. If you're going to hunt through dating sites, then it is worthwhile to have a back up though as you might not always get lucky on the first date. Good luck.

Happy hunting to all.
A mate and I picked up two absolute beauties in BATS (my only visit) , I was very impressed with the female crowd there. We, well I, had an incredible night of sex with her, really memorable and I willingly doled out a million to her 7 or 8 hours later. No problem with that at all, I was floating! .
We were at the MO, which I liked, big rooms and a big bed, fabulous. A bit funny, because on each floor there is some kind of concierge in residence, and he was always attuned to when you were coming or going from your room. That was a tad strange, although he was friendly. Haha you could never 'sneak' a girl in there, he saw everything, or that's what it felt like, at the same time there was never a problem, as I say friendly, and helpful, get you anything. Bonus! Had brekkie a couple of times at the pool deck, next to gym, always some lovelies working out, and hanging at pool. Hmm. Got the distinct impression that something was on offer there too, but was basically a bit shagged out in the mornings to take advantage haha.
So, all up MO is fine, have also stayed at what is now Pullman in Thamrin, that was always good as Nikko Hotel, and Grand Hyatt is fine but exxie, direct access to shopping mall at PI, and no walk of shame there, lobby is large, busy, multi-level.
I am interested in your DIA. Or anyone's DIA. Experience, does that produce efficient results? I ask because I am fluent in Indo and love the hunt in a shopping mall, bar, station etc, which really hardly never fail. Bu t I guess DIA might give access to different kinda gal, but does it involve hours of being online?
Thanks for any info forthcoming!

So far I have had contact throuh DIA with multiple numbers of females from Jakarta, So far, I have been been propositioned for sex twice, could be WL, had invitations and leading chats with 3 other women and have just had good conversations ie chat with 2 more. I actually already have dates plan with three of them the first week that I am there, but will diffently be checking out the other action that are avaiable while in Jakarta.
For me this is ok for now until I am a little more confortable with the city. If anyone is interested they can pm me and we can probably do a little recon, I hope to be able to use JAD services when I get there.

Classic Hotel "booking"
I'm arriving into Jakarta for the first time on Friday. Tried to book two rooms for four nights in the Classic Hotel. The website was a mess. It wouldn't confirm my booking or send me an email verification, so I ended up calling long-distance. Horrible English, but I was able to make out that I could book a room. But was not able to pay for it via any credit card. I actually had to pay cash when I arrived. Moreover, the staffer wanted to know what time I landed at the airport, and then said she could only wait and hold the room for two hours beyond that time. Haha, this is, of course, really bizarre behavior for a hotel.
Anyway, I feared my flight might get delayed, or immigration and traffic would prevent me from getting there on time. My friend and I ended up on Agoda and booked the Novotel Mangga Dua (Classic Hotel isn't even listed on Agoda). We'll still visit the Classic, tho, as the greater majority of all of your reports regarding P4P are positive. I guess the place is more brothel than hotel, but the website suggests otherwise, oh well.
Will post some noob reports as a first-timer in Jakarta.

It's a regular hotel but they don't actually really promote it.
I think they are mainly focus on providing the room for guess from other services in the building.
Novotel mangga dua is a not to close to classic hotel, closer hotel location would be alila pecenongan and red top hotel.

Classic Hotel "booking"
Thanks, Cooldoe. Yeah, I just thought it would be cool to roll out of bed and shuffle down to Terminal for "breakfast." Oh, well, no biggie, as I can still visit and hit other places.

I was wondering though, as it is not clear to me, with MO do you mean the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Jakarta?
I just don't want to think that the Mandarin in Jakarta is super girl-friendly, and then end up in trouble, with people frowning their faces at me for brining two girls etc, just because I assumed I understood what you mean LOL.
And what do you mean with that the Grand Hyatt "exxie"? Google couldn't help out with that, and it could mean "Expensive","Executive" (as in full of business people) , or whatever.
Anyways, a really helpful post, my friend
