First of all excuse me for posting this here, but this is the right forum to ask Indian experience in Thai.

I would be visiting Thai in August, I want suggestion on making my travel plan.

1. Should I use serveries like Th. Cook or MakeM. Tr. To plan my stay and Side Seen.

2. Should I Book air ticket + Hotel, if so does such hotel allow guest. I have no means to check this.

3. Should I book Ticket separately and Hotel separately, booking hotel is loot of confusion. I have made some friends their. IN this 2-3 option visit and stay in Pattaya will be of problem.

I would request my dear friends to help me out.

Hey pal,

You don't have to use the travel agencies, IMHO they are a ripoff. Thailand is an easy destination to carry yourself without a Travel Agent or a Guide. I have been to Thailand many times (mostly as a transit passenger) and have found that one can easily explore the city of Bangkok & Pattaya without much hassle.

My suggestion would be that you book your flights online. You should chose a hotel in Sukhumvit area. For your accommodation in Bangkok. Sukhumvit is the area if you are going there for nightlife. Most of the hotels are guest friendly hotels. Hotels can be booked online through Agoda, etc. Your hotel will most likely have a tour desk and they can arrange for your sight seeing etc.

Sam.[/QUOTE]If you are going to stay in Bangkok choose a hotel in Sukhumvit area, so the action spots are nearby. The hotels generally do not object to you bringing in guest at any hour. Flight+ Hotel can be a cheap option, but check the hotel by going to the hotel website, for amenities the photos etc. Don't know about Pattaya as have never been there.

1. No need to use the services of a travel agent. Its pretty straight forward. Book your flight. Get to BKK, get your visa on arrival. (u can take photos and fill forms before VOA).

2. BKK is pretty chilled out. Recommend staying at Sukhumvit near Soi 7. This is the center for all action. The place is full of massage parlors. The famous one is Anne's near Soi 4.

Also there are a lot of go go bars where you can choose the gal. Or you can see beer-bars like Hilary 3, etc where you an play some pool and pick up the gals for a few thousand.

Some nice clubs are climax (believe in ambassador hotel) or shock 39 where you can pick up free lancers again for a few thousand.

Also the famous go go bars are located in Nana plaza on Soi 4 and Soi cowboy which is opposite the terminal 21 mall.
