Thank you[/QUOTE]Far from an expert in Rio, but I think it goes without saying that during Carnival (and maybe New Year) the prices will go up. If mongering is the main reason you are going you may want to reconsider your travel dates. However, Rio during Carnival is something you may enjoy more than anticipated. I was in Rio during the world cup and we stayed an extra week after the cup finished. During the cup prices were very high compared to the week after the cup. That goes for several Spa's, girls at Balcony and girls working independently (through websites, Instamessage, Tinder etc.). After all Argentinians left Rio and the Cup was over, prices dropped and girls were more flexible with price negotiations. Good luck on your decision, hope some more experienced mongerers give you some tips. Don't forget to keep us updated on your adventures.

However, prices for accomodation were much higher than normal as they will also be for Carnaval.

In your position I would pick Carnaval as the Rio scene is pretty quiet around NYE as many girls spend it with family whereas they tend to work during carnaval.

Thank you[/QUOTE]Mongering during carnival is always expensive. I would wait a week after carnival. Everything is expensive in Brazil due to the world cup. Brazil will be back to its glory days when the Olympics is over after 2016.

During Carnaval apartment owners want you to rent for a 10 day period. Carnaval is only 4 days. During New Years, they want a 5 day stay. IIRC, programma prices don't change during Carnaval nor New Years.

Good for mongering, house prices, travel-bad for general population and will lead to invariable civil unrest so mixed bag. Rio will be a more dangerous place in future-it kinda already is in parts and on specific days but only to be expected with the slavery-like conditions the average person lives under.

I have seen several people go there and waste money on expensive drinks and leave by themselves pissed due to the quality of chiks there. In addition, many tranny seems to mix between to girls and it can seriously fool you if your pissed drunk. However, I'm using the classic strategy of getting my fav chiks cell number from the Termas and arrange an outcall during Sat or Sun for are $250/ hr. If I was you I would do Carneval or New Years on your 3rd or 4th trip. By then you should be able to navigate the city better.

In fact, if you had a buddy who would pay her that much she probably would like being with him a lot too!

I stayed and Rio for 3 nights, thanks to this report, I had a heads up start, sense 8 stayed in Copacapana, Monte was convenient, you pay 380 all in, including 40 minutes with a girl, you can pay more for more time, the girls were as described in this report, around 25, half were 5 to 6 remaining were 6 to 7, I guess 5 were 7 to 8 and occasionally a solid 8 will appear. The mode was relaxed, girls were not pushy. But once you want to talk they are committed, they give the attention you want, you can flirt around until you make your pick, in the room they show you how they like their job which reminded me of why I come to Brazil, may be I was lucky, also I like the fact that this is not a tourist trap, yiu get what you pay for, they explain to you how it works and this is exactly how it works, I particularly liked the fact that the manager wanted to confirm if I want to upgrade to an hour from 40 minutes which was somthing the girl asked me to do nicely and I couldn't sat no to those pretty eyes, when he came to confirm I got back to my normal state of mind and reverted back to 40 minutes.

Over all I give the place 9 out of 10 on value for money.

Next night I went to Termas Centaurus, knowing that it is more expensive, but wanted to try the upper end girls. The place has a much better setup, the girls where may be 30 the bar area was at least 2 times bigger than Monte, girls were more pushy than monte, girls were 7 to 8 and few 6, I guess also few nines, the girls were irresistible, but the price was a round 250 more than monte, I liked the place so much that I took 2 girls, again, the sex was unbeatable, this is Brazil after all.

I cave Termas Centaurus 8. 5 on value for money.

My 3rd night I went to Monte again, only because Centaurus was far from.

We started off at MC but the talent level was *very* low. Probably a combination of Saturday (always slow) and what had been a sunny day (sun = girls at beach = they drink and relax and don't go work at night). Lots of big asses and thights, not my type.

Solarium's entrada is now BRL $100 but it fell to BRL $50 with the coupon. All in price for 1 hr including entrada was BRL $550 I believe. Absurd. Like centaurus prices. Plus you have the added cost of the $20+ taxi each way. They've done a remodel downstairs, I think like a year ago according to a guy I chatted with. The bathroom is actually WAY nicer now with tiles and new showers, though the showers don't have doors so everyone can see you cleaning off your moneymaker LOL. There also is a couch rest area in a small room downstairs. I think they remodeled some of the cabines as well. Mine (the 1 hr rooms) had a shower / toilet combo in the back that looked new. Although it only had scalding hot water from the shower or freezing cold from the "bum gun" in the toilet. LOL. Brazil.

Talent at Solarium was of slightly higher quality, but the girls were all bored. It's always been more of a Brazilian local place for rich guys who live out that way (Leblon, Jardim Botanico) and as a girl noted, Saturday night is family night so the guys stay home and the girls get bored with no customers. That said, almost all the girls were white / mix Brazilians, no mulattas (nearly), and 1 black girl. So if that's your thing. For me, the pricing is absurd and the quality is just not what it was. Better to hunt in the Centro T's and privees. The Sao Paulo clinicas have way better talent at cheaper prices too.
