Sosua Reports

Chris Long in Dominican Republic.

Spent five days in Blackbeard and five days in Sosua at the New Garden.

Airport:

The airport itself is small and slow compared to the ones I am used to. I found both arrival and departure to be pretty painless there is a $10 entrance fee that you pay once you enter, there is no exit fee when you leave.

Black Beards:

Black Beards is a fuck paradise, basically all you do in Black Beards is fuck all day. The women that you see in the newsletter and in some of the trip reports are indeed the women that are there. Personally I am attracted to the dark exotic types so I thought the women were HOT, I felt you could close your eyes and point and you would be happy with the girl you got. The place itself was a little smaller than I had imagined and a little more rustic but still a nice place. I had the basic standard room which I thought was a nice room, hot and cold running water air conditioning a safe, good wifi connection in my room. I was happy with the room.

The Staff were a good group of people the managers Tim and Cliff were helpful guys.

It cost 1600 pesos for one to two hours with a girl and 3000 pesos for overnight. There is also a Jacuzzi in black beards that is secluded from the rest of the pool where you can take one or more girls for a BBBJ for 500 pesos per girl. I found this to be a bit of a turn on and used it several times with the girls. But the Jacuzzi did not seem to get a great deal of use, every time I went back there I was the only one using it. There is a sign and a buzzer that says ring bell for servicing in the Jacuzzi, not servicing of the Jacuzzi but servicing in the Jacuzzi.

The girls can be a bit high pressure and will come up to you rub you in all the right spots (Mr. Happy) and try to get you to session with them or try to get you to schedule an appointment with them for later that day or the next day. A word of caution if you schedule an appointment with a girl and don't keep it you are still obligated to pay the fee. While I had many wonderful sessions with the girls I did notice a tendency for many of them to be very professional in service, there seemed to be a certain amount of bad acting in the bedroom fake mooning and even a tendency to try to rush the session. Also some pressure to get you to buy drinks and see how far and how much they could get from you. There is certain since that this is a job for them and you are just a means to an end. That being said I did have many great sessions with the girls and plan on returning to Black Beards for many years to come. Black Beards is in a gated community I felt very safe walking around outside of Black Beards and even went out a couple of times after dark but didn't go very far. The food at Black Beards is good and you get a good size portion of food. I ate a couple of times at some of the restaurants in the area and some of the small shacks that are on the beach but really did not notice any difference in food price so I started eating exclusively at Black Beards. There is a good group of mongers hanging out there and even if you go alone as I did you will be able to make friends quickly.

Exchanging money, in the Dom. Rep. Things work almost exclusively with Dominican pesos so you will want to exchange your money for pesos. Do not change your money at the airport, they have the worst exchange rates. When at Black Beards you want to exchange your money at Jenney's. Jenney's is a small store that is in the gated community with Black Beards they have the best exchange rate. Black Beards will also exchange your money but at a couple pesos below what Jenney's will give you. You can pick up snacks alcohol and other things at Jenney's as well. I think the policy at Black Beards is if you bring in food or alcohol from outside you have to keep it in your room and you are limited on the amount you can bring in. Jenney's is easy to find from Black Beards once you exit Black Beards go to your right and follow the winding road, you will eventually come to Jenney's. The roads can be a bit confusing at first as they are not laid out on a square grid pattern but seem to wind all around. The place however, is not that large and after walking around a bit you will become familure with it. You can ask your taxi driver when you arrive to stop at Jenney's to exchange money, as I did, before he drops you off at Black Beards.

Black Beards will arrange a taxi pick up for you from the airport for $45 that you pay along with your room fee when you check in; you do not pay the driver directly.

The beach will be to your left once you exit Black Beards, it's fairly close and easy to find, just follow the winding road. The beach is nice, there are some small shacks that sell souvenirs and food. I personally did not venture outside of Black Beards often as I spent so much time fucking. But some of the guys said they seen a few freelancers along the beach. On my few trips to Jenney's, the beach and the restaurants I did notice some attractive locals who lived in the area but I never approached any of them so I don't know if they were available for P4P, but I would tend to think so.

Crystals.

Made it to crystals one night, Taxi fair there and back is somewhat costly If I remember correctly I think it was $20 or more. From my perspective I did not think the women at Crystals were anything better than at Black Beards. It cost $100 USA for in house and I believe it was $140 for TLN take out. I talked with a couple of the girls there, told them what I liked and both of the girls I talked with said they would not do BBBJ so I took a pass at Crystals and never session with any of their girls.

SOSUA.

The cab far from Black Beards to Sosua arranged by Black Beards was $60. There were three of us going as two mongers from Black Beards wanted to check out Sosua. The driver took us to my hotel where I checked in, took us to the beach where I picked up a couple of freelancers. Dropped me and the freelancers off at the New Garden and then took the other two to Passions and then back to Black Beards. I don't know if the price would have been cheaper if the driver was just going to take me to New Garden or not, but $60 is a hell of a lot in my opinion. The cab from the Sosua / New Garden, to the airport was only $25. There are cabbies outside of New Garden and you can get one of them when you are ready to leave.

New Garden:

Stayed at the New Garden Hotel in the old wing, Had the basic standard room, it was nice, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a safe, I had a good wifi connection, not a bad room. There were a great group of mongers there to meet up with and hang out with and get advice from. Freelancers hanging out by the pool, many in my opinion were in the 6 to 7 to 8 range. I have heard a lot about the noise and the ruckus at New Garden but I really didn't notice it on my stay, it got quiet and vacant at night. I could hear some people talking down by the pool in the morning, I could hear some street noise from the other side of the room and they were even doing some construction so I could hear that as well. But either I am getting used to traveling in these conditions or maybe it was the ceiling fan drowning out most of the noise, my exhaustion or the hot little 22 year old I girlfriend up with sleeping next to me each night and morning. But I did not think the noise was a distraction at all. You can also exchange your money at New Garden, they gave a better rate than Black Beards but not as good a rate as you can get from the bank.

The bank I used was bank Popular, if you exit New Garden turn to your right go down to the corner and turn left the bank will be a few paces down on your right hand side. They gave me the best exchange rate; there is also an ATM machine outside which I used as well.

Sosua is a freelance place; I picked up girls in the street, in the stores, along the main strip of bars, in the bars, walking to passions, at the beach, walking to the bank and even in the bank. I girlfriend up early on this portion of my trip so I did not get to sample as many women as I would of liked, but I was never turned down by any girl I approached. I had no problem getting girls for 1500 for the hour and TLN at least with the first girl I girlfriend up with for 3000. If you exit New Garden and turn to your left go up about two blocks and then turn to your right you will find the main strip of bars. Classicos seems to be the main disco; it is up stars next to a sign that says club 59, there is a cover charge to enter. There are many other bars along the strip with lots of attractive girls so there really is no reason to enter classicos if you don't want to. As I said I girlfriend up on this portion of my vacation so I was not able to approach as many women as I wanted but I was never turned down by any girl I approached at classicos or any of the bars along the strip.

Passions and CMP club are in the opposite direction along the strip. If you exit New Garden go up to the strip and instead of turning to your right U-turn left you will find Passions and CMP club. It is about a five to ten minute walk on your right hand side. There are moto conch guys everywhere who will give you a ride for anywhere from 50 to 100 pesos but I personally never used them and just walked everywhere. You can also find freelancers along this portion as well. I picked up a petite little cup cake Haitian girl once walking back from passions.

Went to Passions twice, the first time was in the middle of the day, the place was a little more rustic than I had imagined but still a nice place. The day time staff was nice but not outstanding. Went back at night and the staff got a lot better, session with a HOT girl for the hour. 2500 pesos, you pay the girl directly and she will grab some towels some condoms and lead you up to the room. The rooms are nice, air conditioning, shower, clean comfortable. The session was great the girl was outstanding in providing service. Stopped into CMP club once in the afternoon and seen the hottest girl I seen on my entire trip, there were also two other very hot girls working there. Prices at CMP I believe are about the same as Passions.

Went to the beach once on my first day in Sosua, lots of souvenir shacks as well as restaurants along the beach with lots of people, some of these souvenir shacks and restaurants can be somewhat pushy in trying to get you to stop and look at their stuff. Saw a good number of freelancers walking around on the beach and even picked up a couple, one for then and one to come back to my room the next day.

I girlfriend up early on this trip which had both positive and negative aspects to it, at times I wanted to get rid of her because there was so much fine pussy around and I did not want to limit myself to just one. But when she was gone I missed her like hell and wanted her back. I personally found, to my surprise, the sessions with the girls in Sosua to be better in general than the sessions I had with the Black Beards girls. Many of the Sosua girls seemed to really get into it and enjoyed the sex as much as I did, and many seemed to want to girlfriend up with me for my trip. Where as with many of the Black Beards girls there was a thinly veiled since that this was just a job and a certain amount of acting on their part. Going down on the girls and getting a BBBJ was standard everywhere on my trip, though the freelancers in Sosua seemed to really get into it and enjoy it more than the Black Beards girls.

On the negative side, I found the weekdays could be very slow in Sosua, there are still a few girls around but not as many as on the weekends even the weekday nights are slower than on the weekends and things start to slow down much earlier on the weekday nights than on the weekends.

Found Rockys restaurant which is a great place to eat. If you exit New Garden and turn to your left walk up a few paces it will be on your left. I eat there mainly as they seemed to have the best prices on food, which was good and plentiful. I plan on staying there on my return trip in August. Rockys seems to have the right business model in my opinion.

My Spanish is extremely limited but I never found lack of Spanish to be a hindrance at any point along my trip. About 90% of the girls spoke less English than I speak Spanish but they all know what you are there for, the language was never a barrier when trying to come to a deal with the girls. There are also enough mongers who speak good Spanish or enough local who have decent English to help out with other things.

Final Thoughts:

I was blown away by the Dom. Rep. I personally prefer it over Costa Rica or Tijuana and will probably make it my main mongering destination from now on. I think both Black Beards and Sosua are great places in their own way and will continue to visit both. The BBBJ in the Jacuzzi the smorgasbord of pussy at Black Beards the girls coming up and grouping you throughout the day. Picking up freelancers everywhere in Sosua and the illusion that you are picking up regular girls not to mention Passions and CMP club. Personally I think Black Beards is the place to be on the weekdays and Sosua is the place to be on the weekends and that is probably how I will structure my trips from now on.

Sousa is one of my favorite spots in the world, so I understand you being blown away. I too prefer it over Costa Rica or Tijuana, but then again, I'm only 20 minutes from Tijuana. I've never been to BBs, so I can't speak of the place, I would think that I would get bored in that environment.

Your stepping out there Chris Long, but don't stop exploring other places just because you found "The One." South America and SEA can be a lot of fun, and then some, as well.

The perimeter is so extensive and the security staff so few that anyone bent on mischief can enter with no trouble. In fact during my one and only stay at Blackbeards a would-be machete-carrying thief scaled up to my third-floor bedroom window in the small hours and tried to break in. All the "gated" bit does is control vehicles entering and not even that successfully as there is an unguarded road in through the golf course.

Blackbeards to Sosua is maybe four times the distance from the airport to Sosua and you are talking about a return trip (so eight times the distance) , plus two additional stops in town, plus waiting time? US$60 seems reasonable to me and far less than I would expect from the notorious Costambar taxi mafia. You could do it for US$4 each way by public transport, but that's a lot of hassle for a newbie without much Spanish.

You really are a city boy, aren't you? If you think Passions is "rustic" now you should have seen the original version. Most of my friends much preferred it then. Now it reminds me of being trapped inside a pin-ball machine, all chrome, neon, and coloured lights, not to mention the deafening racket. Whether you like it or not, and many do, it is the least "rustic" and the most blandly "modern" and international puta bar on the North Coast, maybe in the whole of the DR.

Thailand used to have an exit fee as well, but now it is included in the ticket.

They have these screechy-voiced flight crew with Brummie accents haranguing their cargo over the tannoy.

For tickets to the US, it is included in the approx. $120 for various taxes on a round trip fare.

2. Yes, Passions used to have some charm in the early days, but now it is rather unpleasant. You forgot to mention the girls wearing Halloween-themed orange and black uniforms. Some of the girls are nice, but the place itself deserve the Nobel Prize for Tacky.

I too have alway found or don't understand why I could only get ganny kiss as a form to began to making out but was not a turn off, since I was just sport kucking. I think you hit the nails on the head. I am so happy with the DR I have no desire togo anywhere else. I felt BB has serious pros. They are stuck there for shifts. Often they are very bored. I found the sex like you said mechanical. The girls in Sosua seem fresher. The point is you have access to broad spectrum of women. FRom hardcore pros to fresh college girls just off the bus. BB does everything very well. The food accomodation and pricing ara excellent. The jacuzzi at BB may be the best deal in the DR. BBJ with naked women fror 500 pesos can not be beat.

Went to the beach once on my first day in Sosua, lots of souvenir shacks as well as restaurants along the beach with lots of people, some of these souvenir shacks and restaurants can be somewhat pushy in trying to get you to stop and look at their stuff. Saw a good number of freelancers walking around on the beach and even picked up a couple, one for then and one to come back to my room the next day.

I girlfriend up early on this trip which had both positive and negative aspects to it, at times I wanted to get rid of her because there was so much fine pussy around and I did not want to limit myself to just one. But when she was gone I missed her like hell and wanted her back. I personally found, to my surprise, the sessions with the girls in Sosua to be better in general than the sessions I had with the Black Beards girls. Many of the Sosua girls seemed to really get into it and enjoyed the sex as much as I did, and many seemed to want to girlfriend up with me for my trip. Where as with many of the Black Beards girls there was a thinly veiled since that this was just a job and a certain amount of acting on their part. Going down on the girls and getting a BBBJ was standard everywhere on my trip, though the freelancers in Sosua seemed to really get into it and enjoy it more than the Black Beards girls.

On the negative side, I found the weekdays could be very slow in Sosua, there are still a few girls around but not as many as on the weekends even the weekday nights are slower than on the weekends and things start to slow down much earlier on the weekday nights than on the weekends.

Found Rockys restaurant which is a great place to eat. If you exit New Garden and turn to your left walk up a few paces it will be on your left. I eat there mainly as they seemed to have the best prices on food, which was good and plentiful. I plan on staying there on my return trip in August. Rockys seems to have the right business model in my opinion.

My Spanish is extremely limited but I never found lack of Spanish to be a hindrance at any point along my trip. About 90% of the girls spoke less English than I speak Spanish but they all know what you are there for, the language was never a barrier when trying to come to a deal with the girls. There are also enough mongers who speak good Spanish or enough local who have decent English to help out with other things.

Final Thoughts:

I was blown away by the Dom. Rep. I personally prefer it over Costa Rica or Tijuana and will probably make it my main mongering destination from now on. I think both Black Beards and Sosua are great places in their own way and will continue to visit both. The BBBJ in the Jacuzzi the smorgasbord of pussy at Black Beards the girls coming up and grouping you throughout the day. Picking up freelancers everywhere in Sosua and the illusion that you are picking up regular girls not to mention Passions and CMP club. Personally I think Black Beards is the place to be on the weekdays and Sosua is the place to be on the weekends and that is probably how I will structure my trips from now on.

However, the north got boring and I became agitated with fellow mongers not in my immediate circle; as you so encountered. Yes you can get a prepaid SIM card at Claro or Orange in Sosua. Fairly cheap. (Must take your passport.)

2. You can get a public taxi or guagua on the highway about 250 yards from the airport for about $1, however tempoecorto is the only person whom I have ever know to do this on a first trip. Airport taxi is $25. That is the going rate. Easy to find a taxi, they will find you. (Believe me, they will.)
