Tried one of the gal. Not too bad at VND 250,000 for 1 hr.
Happen to move around the area again the next day, realised that there isn't much choice as the handful of gals are limited.

Last week visited a bar called Su’s on Thai something street parallel to Hai Ba Trung. The bar is quite small with two pool tables, one in a private room in the back. It also has a bathroom attached for cleaning up after, bring your own towels though.
We got down to business and spent the next 30 mins going through HJ, BJ, FS. She was well into the experience as I had already warmed her up down in the pool room. It cost me US 50 for the experience, which is not bad considering I did not have to pay for a mini hotel. Oh, bring your own condoms as they don’t have any on the premises.
I will arrive in HCMC friday 30.3. and stay there for two weeks. I have still not decided where to stay regarding hotel. The two options are New World Hotel or some little hotel around pham ngo lao street or De Tham. You can say Hi class or close to the vietnamese streetlife. It depends a bit on guest friendliness..
Does anyone know if New World Hotell is a "guest friendly" hotel that lets you have visitors in your room?
Are you allowed to bring girls from Catwalk to your room? It might be looked at as "inhouse" action(?).
If a hotell has a policy that you can not bring guest after a certain time, lik for example 9 p.m., does that mean that you are free to bring visitors to your room all day until 9 p.m.?
Are the smaller hotels in the area around pham ngo lao and de tham guest friendly?
Of course it is possible to stay at New World and also rent at cheap room around de tham as long as I'm in town. But it is possible that it will be a problem having only one passport?
Even if this might be a RTFF I would appreciate an answer.

I think you are talking about Thai Van Lung street. I live near there. However, I've never noticed it. I will look for it now. Is it near Apocalypse Now? Regarding the "Shag pad," was it a big room? Could any other customer just walk in on you during the deed?
For other mongers, I noticed a lot of dark bia-om like facilities popping up on Le Thanh Ton near Thai Van Lung. I've walked passed "Insomnia" and a place name, Beng Beng, or something like that. Always cute girls sitting outside. Has anyone been inside these new places? Some info would be nice.

New World is a high end hotel that restrict locals to move freely, even before end of visiting hours (9 or 10pm). Security guard (at lobby) might stop the girl if she looks too obvious.
There is a passage between Catwalk and NW hotel, no need to pass thru main entrance. I dont know about Catwalk girls.
Most mini-hotels are GF. You can get her in day or night. Make sure the girl has her ID card.
You can stay at NW and rent another room. Most mini-hotel accepts ID with photo.

I have seen a couple of bars in this area but never seen anything really attractive inside. Never seen a place called Su's. There is a popular Karaoke called Papa's but the girls don't seem to do much more than sing.
The billiards bar near to Camargue Restaurant has an upstairs room that is pretty private but it has a billiard table and the mama is greedy. Pity - there are some nice girls there.
I have also noticed a loud disco type place opposite the Wild Horse Restaurant. The pickings at about 10 pm did not have a lot of class so I moved on.
There has been speculation about taking girls from Catwalk to New World without going downstairs but we never got a clear answer. Same speculation about Renaissance and Club Royale.
Be aware that girls from Catwalk and Club Royale are high end primma donnas - US$100 and up for short time and don't mess up my makeup etc etc etc.
If you stay at New World you can probably get an entertaining room nearby for about $20.
New World is quite a ways from the centre of District 1 around Dong Koi - too far to walk on a regular basis.
There are a number of small GF hotels around Mac Thi Boui, Thi Sach, Dong Do etc. Look at backpackers websites for places less than US$30.
Not going to give names here for obvious reasons.
The GF hotels will keep the girls ID until she leaves and they will call you to make sure everything is OK when she does leave. If you bypass recption at the big hotels you will not have this security.
Going up the street for 2 blocks there's some nice hotels to stay for about 20-25 usd. The 1st one on the left is where I stayed. I like to have noodles about 10pm and then go inside to my room. You might have some luck there with the nite guy. The motogirls that show up all nite long as I can hear the elevator ding ding ding. They are in too much of a hurry though so better to get your own. Try the 51, Bar-Billards at 51 Hai Ba Trung St. , Ben Nghe Ward. Dist 1. Go there and negotiate always when having your soda. There is a billard table upstairs though, hmmm. When I walked in about 9: 30pm I was the only guy and there were maybe 15 girls that will go to your hotel. Isn't it nice to get the call from the hotel afterwards asking if everything is ok and can the girl go.
Mostly what you get is pretty small to medium and they wear massive padding in their bras so looks can decieve.
I was fondling a nice sized set last night in the bar on Cao Ba Quat near Camarque. The girls have no bras there which is nice. But the mama is greedy on take-out price.

I agree - these Americans think the food is better there because it is modified to their taste.
As for the takeover there is now a Gloria Jeans coffee joint competing with VN coffee in Saigon. Next will be Starbucks. All downhill from there.
Have you been to the KFC on the 4the floor of the Diamond Plaza? The chicken is not pressure cooked there and I thought it was pretty good. Got 2 bowling alleys there and a Pizza Hut. Big arcade and many young ladies hanging out looking for fun. KFC bad here but good there. On the way back home if you stop in Korea don't eat the food on the tour. It will make you sick. Spending 2 weeks in VN with no problem and 8 hours in Korea with big problem on plane. The bad food is in Korea.
Have you guys noticed an inflation in price?
I use to buy a meal at this fabulous shop for 15000 and all of a sudden it went to 25000. I've allow noticed this inflation amongst many other things.
Is this normal, the usual new year inflation? or is it something else?
