I've been a Brazil holdout while my buddies fled to Colombia, but I had become fluent in portugese, and love the culture, and even have a couple friends there.

But, there's no more Help, Balcony is no replacement, and other than the Termas, I didn't find I had much access to the girls last fall.

I'm in SanFrancisco, and with Toronto within 4 hrs, I can no longer justify the trip to Brazil.

There are countless agencies and freelancers in Toronto, it is now LEGAL, easy to hook up awesome bud, and yoga studios and pools are all around.

I suspect after all the World Cup / Olympics stuff is over, and markets have had a chance to "correct" it may, once again, be a practical trip.

And I don't HAVE to go business class to Canada.

Maybe London / Berlin for the Fall. Or maybe Barcelona.

Just a little. Reviewed the last few weeks of reports and made some additions in advance of my arrival.

The prices are just comical. It's hard to believe that this is the same town where, in 2004, on my first day in town, I had a great churascaria lunch for around $3. 50 including a beer, and took 2 girls from Cocktails and 1 from the big neon "LOVE" place on Augusta. Total price for 2 events and 3 girls was under $100.

Though places like Clinica Kin, once $26 now $95 (Up 60R from before plus exchange rate) , are still worth visiting.

Re: Casarao. Yeh. 11. 30 is starting to get late for me during the work week and when I have a plane to catch on Sat at noon. Just a reality of my life and getting older.

Pricing is 150R to enter includes drinks and food which is really good. 200R to take out or 100R for room there. Girls are 250-300 but depends on the time of day. 25R by taxi from Paulista.

Scandallo Lounge is the same location as Cafe Millenium used to be. I have been there but it was almost one and a half year ago. Very nice place but I can't comment on the current garota situation.

Bon Vivant now apparently is a gay club.
