I will go tomorrow to Barcelona in a business trip and will remain two nights, Monday and Tuesday. My hotel will be between Parc Diagonal and Parc Poblenou. Maybe the area is not the funniest in the city and Monday/Tuesday are not the best days to chill out but this is the situation, I cannot change it.

Do you recommend me any place/disco/brothels in that area where I can find really nice pros or no-pros (in the late afternoon and evening)?

Should I go towards the city center/Barceloneta or can I find some fun even in that part of the city?

They have a good mall (Diagonal Mar), with restaurants and movie theaters. But besides that, it's a no-go area. Nothing. Zilch.

In terms of regular clubs your best bet is to go to the Olimpic Harbour (look for - puerto olimpico; barcelona - in google maps). It's a five minutes cab drive. There you have dozens of great clubs with a very cosmopolitan crowd. Specially good ones: Shoko and Carpe Diem. Also plenty of restaurants and night life. Even on a Monday they will be fun.

One approach could be to hit the bar-style clubs where you can go in, meet a dozen girls over a beer and have no obligation to stay. The girls always seem to be happy, free to move between the clubs and theyre all at street level with neon lights which means theyre pretty much legal and above board.

Theres a large concentration of them all within a few blocks/10 mins walk between plaza francis macia to the west, maria cubi to the north, balmes to the east and down to corsega in the south.
