The ATM's are sometimes out of money on weekends but there are enough that you usually can find one that works. I find the Banco Progreso is the most reliable and their ATM gives up to 30, 000 pesos on a single withdrawal. I believe WU office is also closed on Sunday. Use the street guys but their rates will be slightly poorer on weekends. The guy that stands outside Terra Lindo is said to be reliable.

Second, this particular chica was just one example I wanted to use. Since she was very good at what she did. Maybe I over-exaggerated the 99% part. But out of the 10 or so chicas I talked with, only one didn't start hinting something or other about money. Either being too broke to go to the internet centre or something to that extent. Maybe I got unlucky in this respect. I am sure there are a few genuine chicas on the website, but from what I have seen so far, they are few and far in-between.

No one needs to base their conduct on my findings. I have merely written about something that I found amusing.

This world would be a strange place if everyone would agree with me all the time.

I also suggest you read Scotch's last Sosua trip report and Savepros321 last Sosua trip report. I doubt either of these guys is in a great rush to return to Sosua. Parts of their reports;

Anyone know a good barbershop in Sosua or Puerto Plata?

Arrived Friday for the first time in almost 2 years. My flight to SDQ had arrived 2 hours late so ended up driving half of the trip in the darkness of the night. Boricua Online was my sidekick ensuring that for every obstacle conquered on the road I earned a shot of Patron. By the time I got to Sosua my head was spinning, tired but still horny. Picked up a thick Haitian lady who gave me one of the best sessions I've had, was down with anything, and BBBJ like a porn star. Fun, but nothing to be proud of in looks.

Next day drove around PP go sightseeing, then returned to Sosua to sit at the beach before the night arrived. Met a pretty bartender with the same old story, arrived in Sosua not too long ago, working to support her kid. Took her out at night then came back to my room for a passionate and enjoyable session. She never talked about money, but any woman in this town expects something in return. Stuffed a 2 thousand peso note in her purse and left it at that. Will repeat.

Woke up to no water in the hotel. Boricua Online still offline after his Classicos escapade. Sosua cleaned up a little since my last visit. There were less desperate children asking for coins, less english speaking hustlers bothering me, and great ratio of women to men at night. Still trying to clear the yells of CHANGE, MASSAGE, and CONCHO from my memory, but that is nothing to worry about.

On a funny note, the window washing children working at the red light in Puerto Plata rejected my 5 peso reward, instead telling me they only take dollars. When I began to drive away they changed their mind. Someone spoiled the window washing market, STOP OVERPAYING guys.

My two friends had a guy in. Front of New Gardens. What he would do is show you how much your getting back on the calculator, but then he will count back your money real fast, but will try and short you 50 to a 100 pesoz, It took us a while to catch on. It adds up if he keeps shorting everyone.

I pay him RD200 which includes a nice tip, if he tries to charge you more politely tell him to go F himself, that Sr F. B. I. Sent you, and you want a bigger discount!

Across the street from rockies is a shop I used. The price was good and you get full service. Two sisters own the shop and were the only women I met there who were not selling pussy. However next door you can get a full service massage.
