Always Re Count your Money if you use Street guys!
The banks are closed on Sunday. The ATM's are sometimes out of money on weekends but there are enough that you usually can find one that works. I find the Banco Progreso is the most reliable and their ATM gives up to 30, 000 pesos on a single withdrawal. I believe WU office is also closed on Sunday. Use the street guys but their rates will be slightly poorer on weekends. The guy that stands outside Terra Lindo is said to be reliable.
Always recount your money, In front of the street guys. My two friends had a guy in. Front of New Gardens. What he would do is show you how much your getting back on the calculator, but then he will count back your money real fast, but will try and short you 50 to a 100 pesoz, It took us a while to catch on. It adds up if he keeps shorting everyone.
One of the tricks of the grifters is handing you the money
