I flew yesterday from Clark to Davao on PAL and the cabin attendant confirmed that bookings are way off from where they usually are. We own a restaurant here and have several friends on operate restaurants, and we've all noticed a significant reduction of dine-in customers and a significant increase in those ordering through home delivery services. So, even though the country evidently has little to worry about based on empirical evidence to date, fear and ignorance are taking a toll I think.

GE.[/QUOTE]Here in California people are staying home. A couple of popular Chinese restaurants are nearly empty these days when normally they would have lines of Chinese waiting. Used to be you would go to Chinese resto populated with Chinese. Not these days for now. I have eaten a few times at one of the places and the Chinese waitress has confirmed business is down 80%.

Today I went to my Vietnamese hair dresser for a hair cut and she confirmed her business was down 75%. People are staying in and away from Asian establishments, including Asians.

I assume this will be the case for another 30 days until better results are confirmed.

Meanwhile I am planning a trip to PH in the next 30 days.

I am in Bohol, flying back to Manila, and hotels confirm that business is very weak, mainly due to lack of all chinese tourists. But there stay many European here.

Up to now, I think Phil stay quite safe, few cases registered and far less than in my country for example, France. But are they well identified. That's also the question.

And if we contract the virus, maybe better to be in Europe or us, than here to be hospitalised.

We all know that Flips wash their asses with their fingers after taking a dump, and then there is never any soap to properly clean their hands afterwards. I doubt that the average Flip restaurateur provides hand sanitizer for the kitchen staff. The food will be contaminated with the bat virus regardless of dine in or take out.

They said the Philippines was not accepting passengers from any Chinese Province including Taiwan. This was where my layover would have been. The only people they would let board the plane were Filipino citizens or people with Filipino passports to be more exact.

Its a piss-off that they did not notify you (and all customers) in advance to re-book your flight.
