Spent a few days in Manila last week. My knowledge and experience is limited so just sharing what I can.

Uber. Used this almost exclusively and works great. Only tried uber x which are mainly newer toyotas just like mist taxis. No tipping, no haggling to turn meter on, no pos older cars and not any more expensive. Not sure what they use for uber black. As an example, ride from holiday inn makati to Hyatt was 144 pesos.

Wechat. Tried using the feature that searches nearby users. Lots of pros. Many quoted crazy prices but came down quickly. Did not actually hired one so don't know if they actually show up.

Badoo. I got replies mostly from regular girls with jobs like call center. Met a couple not for sex but just because I wanted some company for conversation and meals.

Facebook. My fake account worked great. Much more effort than say DIA but I like the fact that you can see lots of photos as to no surprises. Lots of students looking for help. At least I think they are students based on their Facebook posts in uniform and at school and such.

I amrather nazi that way and the longest from my hotel I have bothered to meet a girl is in Greenbelt(atleast lately, earlier i could be more softhearted). During the day, and until 10:00 PM, hotel security doesn't care who you bring in, and never stops to question anyone accompanying you. I just walked right in with my lady and went to my room. I was pleased by the fact that, when she left, security detained her on the way out and called me to ensure that everything was okay.

One time I did bring a lady in after 10 pm. Security simply asked her to register her name (and I'd, I think) at the entrance (downstairs entrance), but they didn't charge me any fee or anything. They simply were adding an extra level of security. But once she signed in with me, there was no problem.

RG.[/QUOTE]Well I am no expert on the subject steaks but I find their assortiment of various steaks to my taste. Both outback and tony ramos have some tasty baby ribs. If they use a genuine US or Aussie animals I hope some other steak / beef hungry punter can enlighten RG with. I have not been through the hole menu but their beef is also neetly cooked (I enjoy from rare to medium) with mixed veggies and baked potatoe. It seems the chef know his / her work. Ironicaly I also choose salmon sometimes at the steakhouse. Give it a try. If you are in the area when I am we can give some prime ribs a go together with some nice brews.

And the beef I've had in the Philippines is terrible. But I might be mistaken, as I have never actually tried beef in Australia, or officially sold as such.
