Weather is awful. She has not left our place in 2 days. She told me streets are flooded. Weather forecast is for more and more rain. Streets there are very prone to flooding. She told me much of Bocagrande is closed. Much less rain in December thank God.
Thanks for the reply Nypher. I especially love your posts for Cartagena. It was literally most of your post that made my trip amazing last year. As far as this upcoming trip. Looking for minimum 2 bedroom 2 bathroom hot water / security are important. I'the prefer to be in Centro or not too.
Far from it. Budget for lodging shouldn't exceed 350 per night.

Thanks for the reply and your continued contributions to the forum. I'm interested in a 2 bed 2 bath minimum. Essentials are hot water, kitchen, private pool, and security. Centro would be ideal since I don't want to be too far from shops, restaurants, and the action. $275 for lodging per day would be the max. Hope to hear from you soon.

I was in Cartagena for 3 nights during a 7 day trip to Colombia.
Day 1.
First off, the weather was absolutely perfect the whole time I was there. The weather app said rain every day but it didn't rain once, this was a few days before Halloween. I got into Cartagena around 5 pm from Bogota, I was staying at the be Haus Hotel in El Centro. The room had a balcony with a jacuzzi. The hotel was one block from exito, stocked up, and headed out to hunt at 7 pm. Big mistake, it was dead, nothing was happening, a few misplaced uggos around the clocktower. By 8:30 it started to pickup, but I was sweating a second ocean so I went back for a quick shower.
9 pm it was absolutely packed with WGs. I've never seen so many 4's and 5's, or so it seemed. It was a weird vibe, like I would have sex with any of these women, but they were all so mediocre standing next to each other I was waiting for a jewel to shine through. I was basically doing laps from La Dolce Vita to the clocktower. The guys would let me into the clubs to look, but it was garbage. One side was packed with Americans with some amazing girls at their tables, while the other side with the bar was a looooong line of rejects. I don't think doing laps was the right thing to do though, the clocktower had the ugliest women, and I don't think many WGs walk to the clubs, I saw many get dropped off right in front. I didn't feel like spending $100-$200 at the clubs just to be able to wait for a prize to walk through.
I went into a supermarket at one point, I was about to buy a bag of ice, but saw a bag tore open in the freezer, quickly grabbed a ball of ice and left. I was walking around rubbing the ice on myself, looking like an absolute mess until 11 pm, when through a thick crowd two chicitas emerged. It was sudden and startling, she was like 6 inches from my face, and then we smiled at each other and that sealed the deal. Cute little braced faced (legal) teeny bopper named Sophie. Her and her friend wanted 800 k for the night but I was not interested in her friend. Ended up at 400 k for the night. We stopped by a restaurant where we sat on a balcony overlooking a park. There I witnessed a coche driver getting dragged out of his carriage by the police, massive crowd around him and he was getting slapped around, a lot of shouting. Sorry the details couldn't be better, but I was honestly too captivated with this chicita and her big brown eyes. Had a couple of drinks, walked back to my hotel, had a good sex session, we went out to the jacuzzi and smoked a joint, then her attitude changed. When will I learn, nobody wants to work high. Went back in for a second shot halfway through cowgirl she gets off, gives me this look and says you finish yourself off. I was livid. Held her down, let her starfish, and did all the work, but I wasn't going to jerk myself off. Finished and told her to gtfo, this was at like 3 am. When will I learn these overnights never work, better to negotiate a good price for 2-3 hours.
Day 2.
Woke up and went to Uraku Spa the next morning. I was looking for a good, upscale clean massage and this place was right across the street from my hotel. Someone here mentioned walking past this place and wondering if they do extras, DEFINITELY NOT, not that kind of place, but I needed a pro massage and this place was great, although overpriced 180 k+20 k tip. When nighttime rolled in, I again started too early around 8 pm, it was dead. This was Thursday night and it was a lot quieter than the night before, even when 9 pm rolled around, the talent was relatively sparse so I went into the clocktower pub in the square to kill some time and watch the Bucs embarrass themselves. Met a cool guy from Wisconsin. By the time the game ended I was getting worried, it was like 10:30 and the streets were still empty. Same, ugly reject standing by the statue waiting for someone drunk enough to pick them up. Walked into the clubs, loud, packed, even if there was talent, I wouldn't be able to properly check it out by briefly walking through. I found a cute girl standing outside the club, tried to talk to her, she wanted 1. 500.000 for 2 hours. Absolutely ridiculous, got her number, offered 900 k 30 min later (I was starting to panic I was going to have blue balls for the night), and she never texted me back. Who is paying her 1.5 M? Talked to a couple more girls who wanted ridiculous sums like $200 USD for 1 hour. I was starting to feel pretty disgusted about the whole thing when I came across a beautiful Afro-Latina from Cali by the name of Cielo.
What one would consider light skinned in the US, with fake green lenses and beautiful freckles across her face. Cali Markle I would call her. After some tense negotiating, she rolled her eyes and said yes to 200 k for 1 hour. Walked back to my place, the guy at the reception gave me the BIGGEST grin, I think he liked her too. I generally like detailing the hunt not the sex, I'm not an adult novelist. She put on a show, where I proceeded to nut 3 times in just over an hour. She was great, I gave her 250 k, and called it a night, except I forgot I had not eaten all day. My main criticism of Cartagena is that there are NO late night food delivery options, ended up waiting like 40 minutes for a burger and fries from rappi, I got a meal for the front desk guy too.
Day 3.
Called Cielo and arranged to go to the beach. I had a reservation at the Ermita but I liked be Haus so much I didn't leave. But me and Cielo did go to the Ermita at like 3 pm. We fucked in the room before going up to the rooftop pool cabana area. It was super chill, rubbed oil on each other, could feel every guy's jealousy there. Had some drinks, talked, then went back to the room for one more round. Checked out to the bemusement of the front desk staff. I guess they are not used to many people using their 5-star hotel as a quick time brothel. We went to the small playa across the road, which I learned was very crappy, but we sat on a log, held each other and watched the sunset.
I had to go pick up some laundry (I love Cartagena, you literally just knock on the door of some casa, a lady opens up, invites you into her living room, and takes your laundry.) then I took Cielo to San Nicolas restaurant in Getsemani. Great place. We went back to be Haus where we had 2 more rounds. We both expressed the desire to be done by 9, we finished up around 9:30. She didn't specify how much, I gave her 550 k. Walked her downstairs where I thought we were going to part ways, but we ended up walking around El Centro and sitting at a park bench for like an hour. I'm only on unit 2 of duolingo but I was doing pretty good between my knowledge and google translate. Ended up giving her a kiss goodnight around 10:30 and walked to Getsemani to join my Wisconsin friend I met the other night.
It was Friday night and Getsemani was absolutely packed. Very lively, people doing salsa in the streets. Plus the beers were like 5 k instead of 20 k across the wall. Lot of backpackers and broke, young tourists staying in hostels. I was starting to feel the excitement of the civilian hunt again. We went to a few clubs, tried our shot with pretty every civilian with no success. Oh now I remember why I just pay for it. Ended up asking a hot Venezuelan to dance, and we did for like 30 min, hot grinding, salsa, everything, before she finally asked for money. Honestly, I would have done it if I was not already sexually satisfied, this is way better than trying to awkwardly ask for prices in the middle of the street, but I was either going free or going home. I went home around 2 am, but Getsemani was wild, definitely will be spending more time here next visit.
Before going home though I was accosted by dozens of desperate WGs trying to make their night. I entertained some, talking and practicing your negotiation skills is free. A really drunk girl walked up to me swearing about venezuelans and how colombians are much prettier (I'm guessing she found a customer but got cucked by a prettier Venezuelan), she 'made' me feel her natural tits, she was alright honestly, maybe a 6. She proceeded to quote me 1 million for an erotic massage. I tried to contain my laughter. That's exactly what I want to do, spend $200 for some punch drunk working girl to knead for 5 minutes before passing out / throwing up on top of me. I said 400 k, she said yes, I ran away, and pulled my calf in the process. Who is the genius that decided leaving all those manholes open is a great idea?
Total spend on chicas 400+250+550=1. 200.000 COP or $250 for 3 nights.
BTW who is this Big Bunny fellow? I swear every girl I brought back was playing his music at my hotel.

If she makes that in 1. 500.000. 00 COP in one night she doesn't have to work for about 3 months. Its crazy, because allot of my girls who came to see me have iPhone 12 Pro Max which is about $1000 here but there around 6.000.000. 00 COP so they are getting paid. Usually, I use them to break the green 100 K COP bills and just take their 50 K COP bills they earned the prior night.

They know all the lyrics to the songs in English and sing the song perfectly with the song but they don't speak any sort of English. Its an ongoing joke I have with them every time I they come over and they start blasting the music jajaja.

I know two others but no security and the price will be about $450 a night, but streaming hot water and private pool.

Hopefully you are not going anytime soon as its the rainy season and my chicas keep telling me its lots of floods and blocked roads with water so many girls are not going out. Boca Grande and El Laguito is at sea level so all of that is under water when it rains.

Others have posted uninviting reviews about things in Cartagena so I was putting it off and doing Medellin / Bogota starting Thanksgiving. The humidity also bothers me but sounds like after 10-11 pm is the best time. I still want to scuba dive so after reading your posting. In only 3 nights? I guess I can do all 3 cities in my 3 week trip. Rethinking hotels etc. Now.

Regarding learning Spanish, there are many beginner / intermediate friendly youtube channels with short stories that help you improve with better context than Duolingo. I have been learning of and on since I started visiting Mexico about 5 years ago, I think the biggest hurdle to get over is to be able to understand natives (especially Mexicans, they speak so fast), for that listening to short stories with subtitles help a lot to practice listening ability.
And if you are really motivated, online lessons over Zoom start around $8-10/ hour for Mexico and Colombia based tutors.

Ignored them. Then one of them touched my shoes and said something about originals (they were new white adidas originals), I stepped back, pushed the guy away, and squared up (even though he was twice my size). Starting shouting 'don't touch' 'back the f** up' real loud a few times, they made some insulting comments and walked away, I was not bothered again by rappers during the rest of my stay. El Centro is deceivingly small, and I believe they are very organized and connected, go over the top aggro once, and I think they all get the message. As for the non-stop 'Hey bro, what jew looking for?' (which is a very anti-semitic question) I found that 'Senor, yo busco tranquillo' gets them off the first time vs. The 15 x no gracias. Also, I had to shave my mustache I had been growing for over a year because of the non-stop 'hey Pablo' , 'hey escobar I see jew'.
As for the weather, I am from a cold, dry city so I also struggled with Cartagena's weather. Very similar to Miami. I was sweating like an animal, rubbing pieces of ice on my self, complete mess. The girls were customary to this, and were unfazed. Plus I got in the habit of taking a shower before and after sex anyway.

As I got tired of writing to dozens of Airbnb's regarding their guest policy and running out of time on top I decided to just book the highly recommended Ermita Cartagena Hotel (a Tribute Portfolio Hotel). Actually a bit above my price range, but I thought it will save me a lot of trouble and it actually looks pretty nice. Just to be on the safe side I wrote an email to the front desk and asked about their guest policy. To my surprise this was their anser:
"You are allowed to bring a different female guest in the days of your stay. Nevertheless, for each occasion you must pay $360.000 COP. "
I was really surprised. Maybe they have changed their policy just recently or they don't execute this rule consitently. However, I surely will not take the risk.
