Drove down with 2 noobs Friday afternoon. It would be their first visit to Tijuana and both were eager to go. Both were young, one never had a serious GF, the other is living with an ex GF until the end of the apartment lease.
Got in Chavelas about 4 PM. A noob had a cherubic and clean shaven face, looking very young, like half his age. Security guys were suspicious, checked his ID carefully, even pinched his cheek to make sure he was real and of age hehe. Chavelas had about 10 girls wearing masks, sitting glumly in booths scattered all over the bar, but it was too dark inside to know who they were or what they looked like. There was no show, no activities or a focal point, no interaction between girls and guys. The place was dead like a morgue.
Went over Hong Kong's side, it had about 40 girls. The strip show and lesbian show were going. We were sitting in a booth near the main stage watching the strip show and ogling hot girls. The girls looked much more attractive in HK with stage lights and many bright video monitors.
Saw a few very hot, glammy girls, like movie stars. Sasha was sitting by the stage for a long time not doing any business. She looked sad and worried. During the bar closure time, girls were all desperately low on fund. Went to HK Wednesday night. Seems like mostly new girls. Didn't see too many familiar faces. Didn't take them up on that offer but maybe some of you wouldn't mind paying for it if you don't already have a room of your own.
I also stopped by Tropical. To my surprise there were a ton of girls in there that night. Outnumbered the men pretty easily about 4:1. Problem is these girls just aren’t as hot as HK girls. Most of em look pretty average at best. With as many girls in there I didn’t spot any who I would rate above a 6.
Edit: I see a couple of you talking about your reasons for crossing into Mexico on foot. The excuse I always use is to pick up some medicine. Always works for me although nowadays I think they dont care as much for your reasoning for going to Mexico.
Get a copy of a recent drug prescription and take it with you. Tell them you going to get prescription filled. Chance are they will make you get a FMM / Visa. After this all you need to is to show the FMM / Visa to them and they will not ask why you are crossing.

Some try to get the less than 7-day FMM, but many seemed to end up in the back room behind the last two desks. Once you are in the back room, you can use any damn excuse you want (I'm sure they heard it all already), but you will still end up buying the 6 month FMM.

Went Saturday night of Memorial Weekend.
Parked by border, walked in. About 5 people in front of me in line. Only 1 Mexican customs worker. Didn't say a word or ask a questions. Simply scanned and wrote some info off of my passport card and off I went.
Took taxi to HK (although I did see the limo) paid Taxi $7. (current rate is $6 + $1 tip) I've learned its better just to hand them money and not ask. If you ask, the rate is $8 or $10 depending on driver.
Mandatory drink / cover is back at HK. $5 dollars or 95 pesos for a can of tecate, however you can take that can of tecate to the bar and trade it for whatever drink you do want. It will either be same price of pay the $3 difference for premium hard alcohol.
Place was packed as you would expect from a holiday weekend. Not the hotest chicks, however walking around, you will eventually find someone you are interested in. If you don't walk back with your chica after the session, make sure to get a wristband or else they will ask you to buy another drink to re-enter.
Taxi back to "La Linea" barely any wait. Usual questions, "anything to declare?" . "Where you headed?
Warning: Do not drive your car into Mexico wanting to head back in the middle of the night. (Unless you have SENTRI) It will take you 6-8 hours. It seems like they close many lanes from midnight to 6 am.

The portal from chavelas is a little iffy, and does mess up the feng sheui of the space but I get it- it releases congestion from the main stage area. The garage extension however is brilliant for hK, here's why.
It may seem empty Mon. - thurs but the expansion allows HK to give capacity to Patrons at its Peak times which is Friday and Saturday nights given Most people work 9-5 Mon. -Fri. Jobs and will likely party Fri. , sat nights. Most of you have experienced these Peak nights where there is no table / seat to be found, especially on PPV fight nights, where you are walking through a sea of men, rubbing elbows with more Men than fondling ladies- this equates to lost business. Having worked with restaurants, its essential to have the capacity to seat and dine customers at peak dining times. In reality, you go to a busy restaurant during dinner time and it looks packed (prepandemic) and the thought is, they are packed all day. But the reality is the restaurant makes most of its revenue during that rush, while sitting idle most of the day, with a trickle here and there. The same concept applies with HK, the expansions was not made for the weekdays, but to capture the peak on the said days. I Do appreciate the business decision of giving 2 free beers on Mon. , Tues. Can't beat Free.
HK is no dummy to business, and to be good at it, you need to have foresight. I think the main reason for the expansion is for 2026.2026 is the year of the first ever 3 nation cross border world cup, Mexico, Canada and USA will host games. What better way for them to catch the Peak market and accommodate more guests than any other club with the garage expansion. The border has made expansions as well, revamping Ped East. And the same with Cascadas expanding upwards.
We ve tried to spend our money at other clubs, but always end up coming back to HK. Music, the vibe, the ladies. The general perspective from the US of A first timer is that HK is way more affordable than Downtown Sd and Vegas. HK knows this and they openly welcome NOoB dollars. Its a world known club and when borders restrictions ease, more Noobs will come, once a month, maybe 2 on a Fri. Or sat. For regulars like us, we re better off going happy hours, aka Mon. - Thur. And might eventually find a chica who hasn't gone up all night, right around 2 to 3 am and shoot her an offer she can't refuse. Most will take it and its worked for me more times than not.

Pedestrian crossing back on Saturday no waiting? What time did you cross back?
This week Friday and Sunday nights about 10 PM, I dropped the 2 noobs without Sentri near PedEast gate. There was no waiting line; they walked across without delay.
5 Sentri lanes had only 5 or 6 cars ahead of us; I crossed within 10 minutes. Meanwhile about 8 ready and regular lanes were open but the car line stretched back to O'Campo, 6 to 8 hours wait is about right.
A noob drove his mom back a Sunday evening this month, arriving at the Ready line at 7 PM. He had to wait a full 12 hours, sleeping in the car, did not clear the border until 7 AM the next morning. Life must be very hard for people who have to drive across for jobs, schools, families.
Made a visit Sunday afternoon to night. Most of the girls in HK were 7's. A few chunky oinkers. A few hotties. There were enough people to warrant opening of the full 2nd floor. But they didn't and it got pretty crowded in HK. Seems like they didn't know it was the Memorial Day weekend and they failed to bring more chicas. After a while it got boring, and I spent some time over at Adelitas where I thought they had better looking chicas. But the problem with Adelitas is that they don't know how to entertain like HK. Despite have a lot of quality chicas, they usually do not have more than a single dancer performing. So there are goods and bad all over, and I had to remind myself to manage my expectations in order to enjoy myself. Hey, at least I wasn't stuck in in the States at some stupid BBQ debating the use of coal over gas, and balance taste over carcinogen.

I've been reading back through the thread and some older posts mention only the first floor or first two floors being open on Mondays / Tuesdays. Is that still the case?
